Chapter 684: Supreme tribes

Swish! With incredible speed he arrived in front of the frog and without hesitation he released his scarabs as they quickly swarm towards it.

The frog was given a shock that a stranger appeared in front of it, the two group were also surprised by his sudden appearance, there is also a fact that he seems to be helping them.

"You weakling! You f*cking dare to attack me!" The frog became furious as he saw the scarabs flying towards it.

It then opens it's mouth and release a foul smelling gas that scatters everywhere, the expression of the two group change as they quickly became pale in fear.

Upon seeing the approaching purple gas, Shadowslash snorted as punched out creating a powerful gust of wind that disperse the incoming purple gas.

The frog started chuckling, it seems that he could see even with the thick purple gas around it, it then said "Do you really think my gas would be easily taken care of"

As it started to laugh in boisterous manner, it started to realize something and it started croaking in a nervous manner, its gas wasn't dispersed by the air but was actually being devoured by the scarabs.

Shadowslash was quite amazed by how lethal the purple gas was, many of the Poisonous Corpse Eating Scarabs have died after devouring large amount of it, the Ancient Jewel Scarabs had to rest after devouring the same amount and there were some of them that have died, only the Primordial Rune Scarabs were able to devour large amount without any of them dying.

Looking at his dead scarabs he waves his hand and store them back into Hentai's storage, he then summoned more Ancient Jewel Scarabs and Primordial Rune Scarabs to help him get rid of his enemy.

The frog then jumps at incredible speed towards him as it had already realised that if it just stays there it would definitely be in a disadvantage.

Shadowslash have already noticed it's movement with his spiritual sense, without any thoughts of retreating he just stood there ready to take the attack head on.

Boom! Even though he had already expected the attack is powerful because of the cultivation of the frog which is the Peak of the Emperor Realm, he was still pushed back because of the impact.

The frog is relentless after tackling him, it once again charge towards him but this time it's target wasn't pushed back but it did.

Boom! Shadowslash transformed into his battle form and enlarged his right arm and punched out, the momentum causes the expression of the frog to become shocked.

It flew towards the opposite direction with it's head bleeding but before it could recover from the attack a shadow looms over it and when it raised it's head it saw its opponent leg smashing down towards him.

Boom! Crack! With a loud explosion and the sound of something cracking the frog was thrown back into the ground and the entire area around it was destroyed.

Shadowslash wouldn't give any chance for his opponent to recuperate, without hesitation he dove down with his right arm ready to attack.

Boom! The frog was crushed by the attack but because of the power behind the attack, the entire forest shook scaring all the wild beasts in the area, seeing that his opponent was crushed entirely Shadowslash waves his hand and store the corpse into one of Hentai's cruel insect jar.

Most of the insects on the jar were poisonous and with how lethal and toxic the frog corpse is, many of those insects would definitely be tempted to devour it.

Many of them will definitely die because of their greed but those will survive would definitely become something terrifying in the future.

Hentai kept adding numerous poisonous insects and many more venomous beasts in the pot of jar that is now undergoing a cruel bloodshed.

Shadowslash didn't care about what was happening in the pot of jar, Hentai have already informed him that there could only one insect or beast that would survive this bloodshed to create the strongest insect slave.

He then approached the two group, because of what they seen earlier the two groups were quite afraid of him, especially since he is still in his battle form.

The two group were quite injured and all the corpses scattered around the area belongs to them, but even with all of this Shadowslash's eyes were focused on the valiant woman, he asks "Do you belong to a Supreme Tribe?"

The valiant woman was startled but seeing his eyes burning with desire, she quickly realised that this man means them no harm, she then bows in a courteous manner, this was a custom that Shadowslash have discovered during his time on this world.

Experts would receive this kind of bow, it is to indicate that their status is to be respected and the expert could kill anyone that dares to disrespect him.

She then spoke, her voice is full of dignity "Our tribe is considered a Supreme Tribe but it was a long time ago, Our Devil Cat Tribe have been considered one of the top Supreme Tribe but it was all in the past."

Even though her face did not change, Shadowslash knew that she was feeling grief, he captured her true emotion with his spiritual sense.

But he doesn't care what had happened to their tribe, after all he is no hero and the fact that he had saved them is already considered doing them a favor.

"Since your tribe were once a powerful Supreme Tribe that means that your tribe have an entrance that connects this world to a higher plane don't you?"

The valiant cat woman nodded and explained "All supreme tribes have Saints on them and some Saints are able to connect with a higher plane using their powerful Saint Qi."

"Our tribe has a pathway that leads to the higher beast plane but only Saints are able to activate the pathway and that Saint must have our bloodline."

Shadowslash immediately frowns when he heard this, he knew that what he had heard wasn't a lie because he was tightly monitoring the emotion of the valiant catwoman.

"Is there any other way to access the pathway?"

Hearing this question the valiant catwoman hesitated but after looking at her subordinates she steeled her resolve and answered "There is?"

This quickly lifted up his mood but the next sentence that came out from the valiant woman's mouth cause his mood to dampen once again.

"The other way is using my blood as a medium and supply the pathway with large amount of Saint Qi to activate it."

He had no Saint Qi whatsoever, so supplying the pathway with large amount of it would definitely be impossible.

[Master, we should check the pathway first and investigate it, we might be able to find an alternative path as long as we obtain more information about the pathway.]

Shadowslash heard this and he was immediately enlightened, so what if he wasn't a Saint, he still have the heaven defying Hentai with him and even if he wouldn't be able to activate the pathway immediately at least he now found a path to return back to his second world.

Recovering from his thoughts, he then looks at the two group and asks "Where is the location of the pathway?"

The valiant catwoman quickly answered "It is on the territory of our tribe but now that the Supreme Poison Clan have occupied it, it is now impossible to return there."

"This Supreme Poison Clan is it an another Supreme Tribe?"

"Yes and no, the Supreme Poison Clan is just like our Devil Cat Tribe, it used to house Saint experts but because their saint have fallen from Saint Tribulation they are now like us."

"But now that their clan head have discovered an egg of an Rune Beast called the One Hundred Poison Worm, they have now started to become bold."

'A Rune Beast!' Immediately Shadowslash's interest was quickly stirred, Rune Beasts are quite rare and they are just like Ancient Divine Spirits, they are connected to divines.

"What kind of Rune Beast is this One Hundred Poison Worm?" Even though he already have a general idea of what kind of Rune Beast because of its name, he is still interested on knowing more information about it.

"A Rune Beast that is able to devour different type of horrendous poison and cultivate it to their peak form, it could devour more than millions of poison but it would only excretes 100 type of poison."

"Each of these 100 poison would have different types of effects and could be nurtured with other types of poison, as long as it was raised right it is able to overwhelm even saints."

Shadowslash nods his head when he heard this, he then started to have an idea about this Rune Beast, this type of monster might not improve as fast as his scarabs but it's potential is still terrifying.
