His dragon tail quickly coil itself to his target, Angus saw all of this and felt that the volatile energy that was flaring up from his teammate's body started to dwindle down.

Knowing that the self destruct sequence was cut off he attacks using all of his strength intending to kill Shadowslash even if it meant he would be killing his teammate.

Shadowslash knew that he wouldn't be able to dodge the attack so without any hesitation he gritted his teeth and his body hardens with his body cultivation technique, fortunately Zeno was bounded by his tails and with him as an energy supply he might survive the attack.

Angus saw that his attack was no longer advancing and was prepared to throw another one, he put all of his energy on that earlier attack causing him to be exhausted, dishing out another one would be impossible in a short term.

Shadowslash knew that he only needs to hold on and just as he thought when the scarabs arrived Angus immediately sense an impending doom dawning on him, he looks at Zeno and the saberman and grips his fist before flying towards the saberman.

The scarabs chase after him, because of his earlier attack he was now out of gas and he could only use his essence as fuel increasing his speed but this means that he would no longer be able to advance unless he recovers his lost essence.

What he did not realised is that his aura only further increase the excitement and greed of the scarabs, Angus arrives at the side of the saberman and crushed something from his hand and he glows at bright light and they disappear.

Shadowslash now realised how the two Pseudo Saints managed to get away, it seems that he needs to regroup with Banjo to be able to capture the fleeting chaos knights bit first he needs to recover from his injuries.

He then orders his scarabs to help his clones taking down the chaos knights, he orders them to not devour the chaos beasts and only injure them and leave the rest to his clones, his injury needs large amount of medicine to recover but since there is none he could only use his ability to devour to recover.

Fortunately he had trained the Heaven Swallowing Technique to its peak level if not he wouldn't be able to recover from all the fight he had been through, after devouring all the life essence from Zeno, he decided to eat him, unfortunately he wouldn't be able to change his form right now because of the massive injury he has on his back.
