There was nothing we could do for him. He was lucky to live. My aunts don't joke around when it comes to spells. They meant business.
"Phi" I shouted and spark of gold appears.
"What can we do?" asked Rolland looking thoroughly alarmed at the sight of Peter on the floor wrenching.
He was black. And Phi was moving closer to him. It was pitiful.
"Get that evil thing away from me!" Peter screams as he pushes himself against the wall, "It will kill me! It will kill me! It will kill me!"
"Go home Phi!" I order and spark of gold appears, then Phi disappears.
It was a quick and swift action. I didn't have time to think it over why Peter had reacted to the innocent Phoenix is such a manner. It was such a bizarre act. Even more so for someone that was supposed to be a powerful member of the council.
For a moment there, Peter got better, he seemed to recover from the spell rather miraculously. It could only mean one thing. The spell was one of mine, not my aunts because if it was theirs, he wouldn't have a second chance. Drake's expression hardened as Peter got up and left abruptly without even saying goodbye. I was thinking what he was thinking, sooner or later Peter would stir trouble blowing our way. I waved my hand putting a seal like my aunt suggested.
"What do you think I should do?" I asked,
"It's almost six in the morning. You've been out for some time. We think you should go to bed and sleep off your injuries until noon or something." Rolland answered, still holding the sword very tight.
"Not good enough. I need to do something." I said my stomach growled again.
The downside of eating cheap food is that I didn't have enough to sustain my system. Most of the time I'd have to eat every hour just to function properly.
It was time to eat but there was still so much to do. I stare at the knights and sighed. This was not how I wanted to start my weekend. There were a hundred things I wanted to do and this was not one of them. Though if I had the choice I would have wanted Diana to do the job, she was much more suited for this lady of the lake thing than I could ever be.
"You have something to tell me,"
"We're all staying. It was decided that we need to avenge the lady. Her sister is in interrogation but we don't think we'll get anything. They don't talk ever. I do wonder how she crosses to the other side." Rolland said grimly, "She was always inside her room. I've never seen her leave the castle."
"The main question is how she got the spell in," Drake said seriously,
"It shouldn't have been possible," added Rolland with a grimace,
"Passive spells, broken down, taken in." I said as if I light bulb went off, "You've ever bumped into someone wearing a white cap?"
"Yes," they said all nodded.
"That is how, but there is also this," I said handing my phone over to them.
Inside were the crime scene photos. The tattoos skins, and everything. I think they were taken back with what they saw, it was truly gruesome. They also seem to recognize something I missed.
