The situation was very bad. I liked Alcon. The man still needed to live so I decided to step in and do some soothing.
"Let talk about it?"I finally step in and save face, "Mr. Temple, the next time we meet let's all be friends. Knight darling, we really have business to do here. There's a piece I like to add to my collection."
"There are men that want my mate dead. He could be one of them. I must put him in his place and make it known. No one touches you, no one." Knight hissed gripping into my arm leading us away.
"I'm not completely helpless," I answer glaring hard.
"You are to them," he said giving me a sideways glance.
It really was time to upgrade my power.
The bet was binding most of the moves I could use but collecting treasure. It was a quick thing. I also scan my mind to find easy deals. I needed every bit I could get.
Something wicked passed through Knight's eyes. It was like he found it all amusing. Then again I still wonder why he was putting so much effort into a decoy. I guess from some other details we had talked I'm not the only one he set up but I was the lure. When we talked this morning he told me that there were three others hired in secured secondary locations. Those humans foolish enough not to understand the risk of being hunted I just hope they got paid well enough for their life.
For me, I was going along for a while if it gets to rough I could still bail. Knight looked like he expected me to bail too. After all, a few drops of blood and a meal hardly inspire utterly devotion
"If you wish to purchase anything, feel free to use my account. Write it down, they will keep taps and make sure it'll be at your place. Don't argue. It is expected for the part you will play as we all must play." he said in an indifferent tone.
"No cap at all?"
"No cap," he answered.
I could not help rolled my eyes. It was not difficult for anyone to tell that I was the decoy and the other three humans would seem to be his beloved.
