Another wave and I was home. I look at my boring room and check my chocolate. Everything was on schedule.

"Hebe, we pull out the emergency fund," I shouted,

The sleepy fox bonce out of her box and in a blink of an eye was in front of me. In her arms were my secret stash of potions. All twenty of them.

My heart was in pain. After using them up, it will probably empty my wallet to replace them. If this had been before I would never have been able to afford to lose a single bottle. But now I had to if I wanted to make changes. I needed to two trade and the other four will be used on the Knights. I need more muscle around.

The war was coming and I was very lacking in power.

Taking the Resse potion, I pull out the lump of chalk from my back pocket and drew a rough circle with the spell March had handed me. The markings went bright against the dark surface and almost glowed beneath the light of the moon.

I added more power and immediately felt the ambient magic from the ground moving toward me. I shivered, and the hairs at the nape of my neck prickled.

Taking it slow, I began a low little chant of nonsense syllables, that had meaning but were understandable to those who were not devils.

Focusing my mind on the effect I wanted.

"Idrntoresssarii, intehedhdfsrressarium," I murmured, and dripped my blood on to the circle.

Power rushed out of me, swirled combining with the magic pulled from the earth, I was trying to control it.

Slowly, I could see visible silver lines forming in the potion. It was working. If I succeed. It'd be like I have an extra life.

There was a strong scent of wind and fire. This was not unexpected. I pull out more power from my circuit. I really need an upgrade. The slow flow was annoying and difficult to control.

I grinned in anticipation as the potion slowly changed color. Hebe next to me placing one more potion onto the circle one after another. Each one was changed into a better version. The price was well worth it.
