Chapter 65 - 65 - Arrested?

Note- Yamen runners are pretty much like police officers.

Yukiya stomped over to the stall. "I know you are there come out," she shouted.

The stall owner gave her a sorry smile. "Lady, please don't shout in front of my stall," he said.

She winced as she gazed at the stall owner. "Sorry, but this guy has been following me for a while, so wanted to confront him," she said.

The stall owner shot up from his chair. "What!! He has been following you; let me call the Yamen runners," he said and rushed out.

"But... wait, sir. I know him..." but before she could finish her sentence, the man had darted away.

Yukiya sighed and glanced at the stupid guy still hiding.

"Come out, you are exposed," she said.

Slowly Long Ki peeped his head from behind. "Who said I was following you? I was searching for Raijin," he said.

He stood up and cracked his back. "Haa, Raijin is not under there, RAIJIN... are you here?" he shouted, cupping his mouth with his hands.

Yukiya placed her hands on her hips and gazed at the guy's weird actions. "Weren't you searching for him in the forest? Why are you here?" she inquired with a skeptical look.

He turned back with a chuckle. "Yeah, but he was not there so I came to search for him in town," he said with a full-blown laughter.

She did not buy his lie, though. She could clearly see the precipitation on hi s forehead as he laughed away. 'Stupid guy, he cannot even lie convincingly,' she thought with a snicker.

"I don't believe a word you just said," she said with a snicker.

His eyes widened a little, but soon he regained his composure. "I.... I've been taught to protect the fairer sex," he said.

If only Raijin was here, he would have called his bullsh*t out. This stupid red dragon was not even aware of how to treat the fairer sex.

But since he was not here, it was enough to convince poor Yukiya.

Her face became slightly red. "Oh, but you don't have to come with me. I Can very well take care of myself," she mumbled.

Long Ki laughed awkwardly. "No, No, I have to come with you. We can both search for Raijin, yeah," he said.

He still maintained an awkward smile on his face. 'I will never tell her that I Am entrapped by this stupid ring. NEVER!' he thought, hiding his ring finger behind back.

Looking at his weird smiling face, Yukiya sighed. "Sorry, but I have to search for someone as well. He might be at great risk," she said.

"But Raijin might be in danger, too. Look at this he was at sky level cultivation. I am sure he would have stuck in his animal form now," he said with a frown.

Yukiya sighed again. What the stupid guy said was true. She, who had been in the sky ascent level, after the fall was reduced to the stage of Earth realm.

The cultivators follow the path of levels. Fist comes the human level, followed by the Earth level, subsequently they are followed by water level, fire level, sky level, sky ascend level.

When magical beasts are born they will be at the human level cultivation, as they reach Earth realm, they gain their human form.

So Yukiya presently was at the stage similar to a newly transformed Beast.

"I understand, but I... I really need to save someone else. That naive guy might be in grave danger," she said with her eyes tearing up.

Biting her lips, she gazed at the dragon. He too had a worried look in his eyes.

"Look, I really want to accompany you but my friend might be already in danger, so I need to go," she said and walked away.

The stupid guy silently followed after her. His loud stomps can be heard a mile away.

She turned back to tell him off again, but he... he looked very sad as he stood in the middle of the crowded road.

"I.... Raijin is just a little pup, so please help me, please," he whispered.

Yukiya felt her heart lurch at this. Her kind heart did not want to leave, but her mother's instinct kept pulling her to search for Xia.

Confused, she too stood still watching the guys shuffling feet.

"I... I will hel..." she decided to help, but before she could voice it out Three burly man rushed towards them and held Long Ki's shoulders.

"Huh, what," she whispered, watching the chaos.

The stall owner ran up to her and said. "Lady, the authorities will deal with him now. Please have safe travel."

"What!! But I know him," she shouted.. But her soft shouts were drowned by the loud crowd.
