Chapter 70 - 70 - Never Give Up

Xia watched the little snake walk away from him. But he was still deep in thoughts.

"What did he mean I love her? Who is this 'her'?" he whispered, gazing at his retreating back. "Little Long, wait for me. What is wrong?" He shouted and followed after him.

But his little snake disappeared in front of his eyes.

"Eh, where did he go? He didn't even have his lunch," he mumbled.

Shaking his head, he walked back to the campsite.

Felia's little maid rushed up to him and whispered, "have you guys talked it through? I think its time to clear up to her as well," she pointed to Felia.

Princess Felia noticed this and waved back at them. "You have to eat chicken while it's still hot," she shouted.

"Coming," he shouted. But Xia was still confused. 'What should I clear up? What is everyone talking about?'

He scratched his head and walked up to Felia.

"So.... Xia I was thinking. After I reach home, should I..... Introduce you as my lover to my father," Felia whispered in hesitation.

But little crayfish was deep in thoughts, so her whisper was not heard.

While eating his chicken he thought of what Little Long said. "What do you think about marrying a man?" his voice still echoed in his ears.

"Hmm, I'm okay with it. I think." He mumbled, biting into the hot chicken.

"YOU ARE!!! Oh my god," Felia squealed.

The maid was looking at him with her eyes wide as saucers.

This brought Xia out of his thoughts. "What? What happened? Why are you squealing?" he said in a confused voice.

All of this was witnessed by Long Aotian that was hiding in the bushes.

"I knew it. He really loves her. Not me," he thought biting into his hands.

He really wanted to shout out loud. "Why her? Why didn't you choose me? I Love You more than her,"

Metallic taste filled his mouth.

He felt his heart shatter into pieces.

He slouched down and hugged himself.

"Xia, please choose me. Please..." he whispered.

He knew it was hopeless but.... but still, "I want to try. I would not give up on you even if you give up on me," he whispered.

Wiping his stray tears away, he walked over to him.

"Oh, Long, where were you? Eat this it's so tasty," Xia said and stuffed a half eaten chicken leg in his mouth.

Long bit into the chicken until the bone broke. "I was nearby," he mumbled.

The annoying woman gave him a smug smile. "How is the chicken Xia? I made it myself," she said with her face going red.

'Don't be so smug. I will steal him from you just you watch,' he thought biting the insides of his cheeks.

Long Aotian gripped Xia's slender waist and hugged him to his body. "Xia darling, you like the spicy chicken we ate in Guikal right? Why don't we eat that?" he whispered.

"Hmm, lets," Xia said and picked up the magical plate the kind woman gave him. With a wave of his hand, a plate full of spicy chicken appeared on it.

"Wow, they smell tastier than I remember," Xia licked his lips and picked one and bit into it. "Mnn, it's so good..." he whispered. "Here Long, try this. It's tasty," he said, stuffing a big piece to his face.

Long Aotian bit into it and hummed. "it's good,"

"Mnn, so tasty.." Xia moaned with his mouth full.

Gazing at him, Long could not help but remember the time Xia 'tasted' him. His body reacted violently.

With his long sleeve, he hid his bulging lower body.

"Xia.." he whispered softly in his ears.

Xia che turned back and found the little snake's ears were flushed red. He softly caressed it and whispered in his ear, "Long, why are you blushing?"

"It's because you are moaning," Long whispered back.

The little snake's hoarse voice sent violent shivers though the little crayfish's body. He slapped his shoulder softly and whispered, "Naughty."

Long Aotian gazed down to find his face to be completely flushed red. He softly caressed his face. 'He loves me?'

He hugged him and placed his head on his bony shoulder. 'Why are you giving me mixed signals, Xia? You are so cruel,'

Xia mildly caressed his coarse hair. "Long about what you asked earlier.."

Long muffled his mouth. "Don't... don't answer. Please I don't want to hear your answer yet," he whispered.

Xia gazed at him weirdly. "Why? Why not?"

"I don't want to hear your rejection," Long whispered.

"Huh," the little crayfish tilted his head and peered at him weirdly. 'What is wrong with him?' he placed a hand on his forehead. 'He is not sick. Then why is he acting weird. Rejecting?'

The nearby maid sighed. She could understand that young master Xia still loved master Long. But why did he agree to Princess as well?

'Is he a two-timing bastard?' She gasped.

That's how a moment of inattentiveness brought a huge rift between their peaceful relationships.
