Long Ki nodded. But in his heart he knew that he has to change it. He hugged her tight and snuggled close.
"Congratulations!!" small voices shouted from nearby. Few radish heads popped from behind the tall grass.
Long ki wiped his tears and gazed up. The old lady's little grandchildren and the town's little kids had rushed over to them with flower petals tossed a handful over them and jumped around.
Yukiya laughed out loud. "Did you prepare this too?"
He chuckled and picked out few flower petals from her hair. "No...They prepared these themselves."
The little radish like kids cheerfully dragged them over to a small lake and jumped around them. There was a small wooden house in the middle of the lake. It looked like it was made almost years ago, but it was still sturdy.
Yukiya felt a small tug on her sleeve.
"Thank you, sister and brother! You are our saviours," the little urchins shouted around him.
Yukiya subtly held his hands and gazed up at him. "Let's not waist their efforts," she dragged him over to the small lake. They had to wade through the water to reach there.
As they reached the shore, Long Ki stopped. He gazed up at her with eyes wide. "Why don't we fly?" he whispered.
"Come on. It's a small distance we can swim," she said insistently.
But the red dragon shook his head. "No, lets fly," but Yukiya dragged him further. "I don't want to, let's not,.... the water looks dirty,"
Yukiya stopped. She pouted and gazed back at him. "What's wrong? This waster is pure rain water from yesterday its not dirty. And we only have to swim just a little further," she said, holding his hands. She could feel a faint tremble in his hands. Suddenly a thought arose. 'Maybe he is scared of water? That's absurd. It is definitely not possible,' she shook her head.
But seeing the red dragon's reaction, her guess proved to be true. He was indeed scared of water.
"Long Ki are you perhaps scared of water?" she challenged him with her gaze. And he refused to meet her scrutinising eyes.
"No I am not." he said with a hump.
With a naughty smirk, Yukiya suddenly dragged him forward with all of her strength. They both toppled over inside the little lake.
She surfaced and wiped the wet strands away from her face. "Ki, where are you?" she whispered as she glanced around. He had not surfaced yet. This brought a fear in her heart. "Long Ki, don't play with me. come out," she shouted, but there was no reply.
She dove in and swam around.
Long Ki was waiting for just this opportunity. He dragged her down and kissed her right on her lips. He literally stole her breath because he was not able to breathe underwater, but she can.
With his tongue, he spread her mouth a little and kissed her deeply. This was his first kiss he initiated, but he knew how it was done. He cupped her face delicately and gazed down at her. She dared pull me down, then she should pay the price.
Yukiya was stunned. She touched her lips and gazed at his hazy figure. 'this silly dragon, he just ate my tofu.' She glared at him and slapped his shoulders.
Smirking, Long Ki hugged her waist and swam up. The lake was not that deep to begin with, but they were fully enveloped in water. In just minutes, they surfaced.
Yukiya glared at him. "Why did you bite me, ah?" she touched her lips with a soft blush. This time.... their kiss was very different from before. That day when she provoked him he kissed her with passion but this time it was like animalistic instincts.
Even his eyes had a golden tinge to them, which made her shudder.
He hugged her close and whispered, "I am not scared of water, but I am scared to get my clothes dirty. Looks like I got over my fear just now,"
Yukiya gazed up at him in a daze. She could smell the overwhelming fragrance of Cider wood from him. It made her almost dizzy.
"Hehe," a soft giggle distracted their romantic moments. Little radish like children squatted next to the banks and looked at them without blinking.
Yukiya pushed him away and hid half of her face underwater. She breathed out bubbles and glared at the red dragon. 'It's because of him.... I've become weird all because of him,' she thought with a glare.
Long ki spread his arms and shrugged. "Looks like my wifey is shy,"
"Sister and brother look good," one of them uttered.
Yukiya blushed red and swam over to the nearby tree house in the middle of the lake. She slowly walked out and gazed back at him provocatively.
Long Ki gulped and shooed the kids away. But the kids only left after being bribed with candy and beef jerky.
After which he dashed over to his fiancé. She stood on top of the tree house with a small smile. His heart pounded faster with each step he took towards her.
"Yukiya...it's too risky," he whispered.
Yukiya stamped hard on the hardwood flooring of the house. "No, it's sturdy and safe," she whispered with a smirk.
"You know that's not what I meant," Long Ki muttered. For that, she threw a small wink and walked into the house. 'God, this woman is testing my patience,' he thought, gazing down at his nether regions. It was getting hard.
Once his mother had told that woman and money are the reason for the countless war and destruction. He never believed it. Who would actually go to war for just a woman? He thought then. but now.....
He gazed at her retreating back and thought, 'Looks like I am also one of those fools, who would wage war for a beauty,' he chuckled. It felt good to admit this fact.
He happily hopped on a low-hanging branch and strode into the house. As he walked through the door, he came face to face with Yukiya, who was covered completely in flower petals.
"Looks like the kids have decorated the house for us," Yukiya muttered, removing some petals from her hair.
"Yes, I hope they don't know what adults do behind closed doors," he muttered under his breath.
Yukiya gazed out at the little urchins lingering around near the shore. "Oh, I think they know,"
