Xia hugged him tight and snuggled against his warm body. "Long, you stupid idiot. I was so angry," he whispered. He softly pounded his shoulders, releasing all his anger on him. Then he softly caressed the spot he hit.
Long groaned and hugged him tighter. "Sorry, sorry, I won't make you angry again." He peered down at delicate looking lover. A small wisp of hair had escaped his braid and floated in front of his face. He slid it behind his ears and softly caressed his smooth skin. "I won't disappoint you again,"
Xia gazed up into his smouldering eyes and hummed. "Long, baby, your hair is ragged," he whispered and patted it down. "Come, let me comb it for you," he led him into other store and found a small crystal comb. He slowly combed through his stubborn tangles and tied it up in a ponytail. "Aotian, do you want to get your hair washed? There is a place here that trims your hair and washes it. See, they are the ones who combed it for me," Xia cheerfully showed him his fish braids.
Long touched his silky smooth hair. "Hmm, I want to wash your hair too,"
"Later," Xia chuckled and placed the small black hair ornament on his hair. It was the same one that Bao gave him and the one which had the ruby inside. "Now, let's get you clothes,"
He pulled long all over the store and picked out a few pieces of clothes. Long complied and wore them all.
With a mismatched pair of shirt and pant, Long walked out. He was not comfortable wearing these weird clothes, but if he could make his lover happy he would do anything.
Xia dragged him over to a candy shop and brought some rainbow lollipops as well. "We can give this to sheng sheng when we meet him," he cheerfully hopped away to a different shop.
Like an obedient husband, long carried all his shopping bags and placed them in their space ring one by one.
On the side, Bao Hu and the butler watched the obnoxiously sweet couple flirt with each other with a heavy heart. They both glanced at each other and sighed.
"I'm craving beer" the butler whispered.
"Me too," Boa agreed, and so the two decided to go drinking early in the morning to sooth their bleeding single heart.
As they were walking dejected through of the mall, Bao received a call. it was an unkown number. With a sigh, he accepted it. "What .....What do you mean HE is gone? How could you lose HIM? Try tracking HIM down I—I will get there soon," he anxiously whispered. He frantically rushed out.
The butler knew something was wrong, so informed xia about their urgent departure and handed him a black card. "Master Xia, use this in case you want to buy anything."
Xia took it from him carefully and whispered, "Is this 'cash'?"
"Technically yes, but I don't have the time to explain anything. Please do stay safe, we will be back to pick you up," he urgently said, throwing worried glances at Bao.
Meanwhile Bao got in his car, but demon butler stopped him and occupied the drive seat. "Its better I drive master," he whispered.
He knew something was trebly wrong just to be gazing at his master's reaction, so he silently started the car and followed the direction.
Throughout the ride, Bao was a complete nervous wreck he kept gazing at his watch and then at the cell phone as if waiting for someone's call. With shivering hands, he sipped a gulp of whiskey to calm his agitated mind.
"What is wrong, master?" the butler said hesitantly.
"HE is missing. Someone kidnapped him. And that darn body guard did not even notice it," Bao shouted and threw the crystal glace to the floor.
The butler knew what his master was talking about. He knew who that HE was, and how important HE is to his master, so he accelerated the car to the maximum speed, skipping all traffic rules.
The whiskey seeped through the carpeted flooring of the car, making it reek of alcohol.
"Master, we will find HIM definitely." The butler assured, but he too was not sure who had kidnapped HIM.
After they left the small, xia worriedly gazed at the door. "What do you think happened? Should we help?" he whispered. He leaned against the rail and continuously peered at the contraption called the lift.
Long hugged his slender waist and nodded. "Maybe we should," so they both walked over to the lift and froze.
Both of them failed to see how the lift was operated. They both waited and waited, but the door did not magically open like it used to. Long even wanted to pry it open, but Xia stopped him.
"Umm, let's try the moving stairs," Xia dragged him over to the escalator. It started operating just as if perceiving their presence. Both Long and Xia stood there peering at the stair.
"How do we get on?" Long whispered questionably.
"We have to step on it and it takes us to the destination," Xia explained to his maximum capacity, yet still the dragon could not comprehend.
Long lost patience and lifted his lover in his arms. With a swift jump, they both easily landed on the ground floor.
Startled, the man in the surveillance camera toppled along with his chair. "H—he....flew!!" he whispered and ran out, but before he could meet the magical man, they had already left the mall. He swiftly called up his manager and reported what had happened, and the manager called up Bao.
"What is it?" Bao impatiently attended his call.
"S—sir, that man with you....he—he jumped two floors and survived. Should we report to the police?" the manager hesitantly whispered.
"No, leave them be. Delete the surveillance footage and make sure it does not spread. If it does.....it's your head on the line," he threatened the man and cut the call.
After doing so, he threw his phone and kicked the front seat. "That darn, royal brat, creating all kinds of trouble for me," he mumbled gritting his teeth.
He was already anxiously that his precious person was missing; he did not have the time to deal with any other nonsense.
The butler worriedly glanced back at him. "Shall we call the police?"
"No..no..They might do something to HIM....let them call, we can give the ransom money." Bao Hu whispered anxiously.
The butler was extremely anxious. He gazed back and whispered, "But they will contact HIS mother, not you,"
This made the demon lord rage even more. "Shit, then lets check the last pace HE was seen. We shall check for visual clues,"
The butler nodded, and the car took a sharp u-turn. They entered another lane and raced through the city.
Meanwhile, Long and Xia was hopelessly roaming around. For a while they were able to find the scent of the demon lord, but alter it got lost in the numerous scents in the city.
Worn out, Xia leaned against a shop front. "Shall we go home then, I bet they will come back home after they are one with their work,"
"But aren't we helping them?"
"How can we help them if we can't even find them? Besides, if we are roaming around they might have to worry about us too," Xia whispered and patted the anxious-looking dragon.
But the dragon was busy squatting down and sniffing the street.
"You worry for them?" Xia whispered softly.
"O—of course I don't. That man, that butler, I owe him. He helped me come to my senses otherwise I would have lost you. Why—why would I help that rude man?" he mumbled, but his red ears exposed his lie.
Xia smirked mysteriously and squatted next to him. He softly caressed his head and whispered, "my baby is all grown up,"
"Who is your baby, huh? You are my baby," Long mumbled and smooched him loudly.
The passerby saw this and started taking pictures instantaneously. It became a trending topic in just minutes.
Since they couldn't find the demon lord, Long followed the scent trail he had left when he was putting his head out.
Long reached the familiar bridge, the demon and he fought on and slowly walked hand in hand.
Xia stopped in the middle and gazed down at the river. The cold waves of water were calling to him as if it was asking him to return. "Long, this river..... somehow it feels so familiar. It feels like home," he whispered nostalgically.
Long hugged his shoulders and kissed his cheeks. "Maybe, in a different life, this place might have been your home," he mumbled.
Xia hummed and leaned weightlessly against him.
Right at that moment, a man dashed through the sidewalks and pushed them away. Long was quite vigilant so, he hugged his crayfish close so that he won't stumble.
The man gazed at them with wide eyes and rushed away without even apologizing.
"What a rude man?" Xia mumbled softy.
But Long was too busy peering at retreating back of the man.
"Long, what's wrong," Xia tugged at his sweater.
"That man..... He smells like blood and someone familiar.....I can smell sheng sheng on him,"
