Chapter 261 - 261 - Goodbyes

Long ki was silently playing with the little egg cheerfully. All of a sudden, a huge shadow cast over them. He glanced up to find his mother flying over to their ship from a height. "Mother?....I thought you were still in your room," he mumbled softly.

Yin Long landed with a very grave expression on her face. "Ki, go call your brother and Xia up here. We need to have a family meeting right now."

Without a word Long Ki understood the seriousness of the issues. He ran down and knocked on Long's door. "Listen, I know you both are busy right now but mother wants to have a family meeting immediately. Stop what you are doing and come up,"

There was no reply from the inside.

"Take 10 minutes. I shall wait here," he folded his hands over his chest and stood right out the door.

"Why aren't you leaving? We shall come up when we are ready," Aotian shouted from inside.

"Yeah, right, as if I would believe that. I am staying here until you come out. If you don't wish to, at least send my son out," Ki growled from outside.

Soon the door opened. A very red Xia che walked out followed by a glaring Aotian.

"Don't glare at me, silly brother ," he gently slapped the back of his head.

Aotian grumbled even more. "Why can't we peacefully have our alone time on this ship? Goodness, someone or the other comes to disrupt us."

Ki glared back at him. "At least be happy I let you finish."

Xia clung to his hand. "Brother Ki, sorry pleasant dint get angry," he innocently pouted at him.

Long Ki let out a softy sigh. He gently caressed his head and whispered, 'I understand you are just a small kid who doesn't understand but that guy he is a heavenly prince. He should have known the severity of the situation yet he decided to play around."

Long Aotian did not reply, rather he had a very weird expression. "I know the severity, that's why I wanted Xia to be close to me as much as I can,"

Xia glanced at the both of their wordless expressions. "What do you mean? Long what's going on?"

"You will understand when we talk with our mother." Aotian gently kissed his cheeks.

Silently, Xia followed after them to the top deck.

Yin Long stood there waiting with a very serious expression. "Oh my second son is willing to grace us with his presence."

"Sorry, mum," Aotian mumbled with his head lowered.

"Sorry doesn't cut it, thousand pushups. Now," she glared at him intently.

Without any word of refute Aotian started doing pushups. Xia watched all this with a weird frown on his face.

Yukiya immediately ran to him and gently held his hand. "Our mother-in-law is very angry and disappointed," she whispered next to his ear.

"why?"

"Because her only two sons were on earth when the Rakshasas gate opened, yet both of them refused to take any action against it," she whispered again.

"Yes, that is right. My two precious sons that I trained all my life were rendered useless when they were supposed to act," Yin long suddenly shouted, glaring at Long Ki and Long Aotian. "I assume you both know what I going to talk about?"

"I know," Aotian whispered with a sad sigh. While doing his pushups he gestured for Xia to come close.

Xia gingerly walked over to him and knelt down. "What's going on?" he whispered to him.

"Baby, listen well. You will be following my mother back to heavens' realms. Xia be a good child and always listen to her, okay. Don't go anywhere unarmed. Wear your golden glove all the time," he said with a small smile.

Xia's eyes widened slightly. "I don't think I understand.... are you asking me to leave you and go up.... no, I don't wish to," he shook his head vigorously.

"You have to... you have to," long Aotian glanced at him with slightly red eyes. "It's going to get very dangerous here.... you will be safe up there with my parents."

"No! I won't!" Xia cried gently. His eyes started tearing up uncontrollably. "I don't want to leave you. I can fight too, you know. See my golden glove van take any attack even from a kirin," he proudly whispered.

Yin long sighed. "Aotian stop and stand up."

Aotian stopped doing pushups and stood up with his head lowered.

She walked closer to them and gently hugged Xia che. "Oh baby, the Rakshasa are different. They might be less powerful, but they have their strength in number. That was the only reason the previous great war took over ten years to solve." she gently rocked him.

Xia sniffed and sobbed over her shoulders. "I don't want to leave him... I don't,"

Yukiya also came and joined the group hug. "Xia baby, don't worry. This is also a part of our responsibility as princess consorts." She whispered to him.

Xia finally glanced up with his puffy, red eyes. "Our responsibility?"

"Yes darling, our husbands are both heavenly princess. Being with them brings us a certain responsibilities too. This is one of the situating where we have to be brave and trust our men to defeat evil," Yukiya gently kissed his forehead.

Xia wiped his tears away. "I am brave... I trust my long..." he mumbled, slightly sniffing.

"My treasure." Aotian gently hugged him when his mother and Yukiya let go of him. "It won't take long. I will exterminate all those pesky creatures and come running to you as soon as I could."

Xia placed his hand on his slightly bulging belly. "You should come back safe as well. Our child needs you. I need you,"

Aotian smirked and kissed his pouty lips. "Don't fret, it's bad for health. We can talk every day... anytime you want... so don't worry too much about me, my love,"

"I will believe you and wait for you," Xia finally whispered with a small smile.

Yukiya wordlessly went over to long Ki and hugged him tight. "You stay safe too. Silly guy, you better come back unscathed," she whispered with a wide smirk.

"Of course, if my queen commands." Ki gently hugged her small waist and kissed her. "I will definitely get back to you soon."

Finally, making a decision both Yukiya, the red egg and Xia walked over to Yin long who was preparing to ascent to the heavens realm.

A small, blinding golden light flashed from above and they were being gently lifted up into the sky.

Xia and Yukiya tearfully waved at their lovers.

After they reached a height, they couldn't make out their ship, Yukiya started to sob earnestly.

Yin long gently patted her shoulders. "This is the time to stay strong, my dear. Your strength will give Ki his strength."

"Yes, yes, how can I just break down like that," Yukiya swiftly wiped her tears away. "Yin Long, is there anything that we have to look out for in the heaven's realm,"

Yin long's smiling face frowned slightly. "Don't trust anyone,"
