As their competitors plan their respective projects, SkyMu is smoothly proceeding on their project. Yve has finished reading the script and gave it a go signal. She instructs Sylvan to print the necessary number of copies to be given to the artist managers.
The managers express their concerns and as Yve addresses back. The involved parties reach an agreement and conclude the meeting much to their relief. The managers are happy with Yve's decisions and it's clear enough that she gives attentions to all her artists fairly.
Before long, Yve finds herself doing her student duties and attends her classes diligently. It's an eventful day at school, though. Her classmates are reviewing their past lessons in preparation for their major exam coming in two months. Yve is reviewing bit by bits when she has time but for tonight, she wants to give back to her dear husband.
When Sylvan arrives to fetch her, Yve sends a message to Vince.
"Do you have meetings tonight?"
Instantly she receives a message from Vince.
"None for tonight. I'll be going home early. Why?"
"I just want to pick you up at work. Will that be fine?"
But Yve can't wait to Vince's reply and instructs Sylvan to drive her to Gray Group's main office. The latter tries his best to hide his smile at his Lady Boss' instruction.
"Of course, I'll be happy to. Text me as soon as you arrive." Vince replies.
Yve can't help but feel excited. She informs Sylvan that he can go home as soon as he drops her off at the building.
'Something must be in store for Primo tonight. I should remember not to bother them and inform both teams to do the same thing.' Sylvan takes a mental note of it.
Soon after, Sylvan and Yve arrive at the office. But unlike Yve decides not to inform Vince of her arrival.
"Young Madam, would you like me to inform the receptionist of your arrival?" Sylvan offers as he hands the car key to the valet driver.
"No need. I can handle it. You can leave now." Yve answers him.
'I can at least handle the entry to his office, the least.' Yve thinks as she approaches the receptionist.
"Good afternoon, how can I help you?" The receptionist asks.
"Good afternoon. I would like to see Mr. Gray." Yve replies.
Instead of giving Yve a reply, the receptionist looks at her from head to toe and vice versa. Yve is currently wearing St. Michael's uniform as she came straight from school. Normally she would have changed into formal attire but since she didn't come here for business, she decided not to. She also styled her hair in bun making her look like a student which was totally different from her business look.
The receptionist tries to be polite by asking her another question, "Do you have an appointment scheduled with Mr. Gray?"
Yve looks down before answering, "No, I don't."
"I see. I'll call his team of secretaries to inform them of your arrival. May I have your name?"
"Yve. Just tell them my first name and they will already know who I am."
"Okay. In the meantime, Miss Yve please have a seat at the waiting lounge." The receptionist pointed at the couches and Yve instantly obeys.
Despite the receptionist's attempt to be polite, Yve notices the way she looked earlier and wonders if it's appropriate to ignore Sylvan's offer or to call Vince in advance.
'Or maybe it's my look?'
The receptionist acts like she is calling the secretary office but she's just holding the phone.
'No way I'm going to call the secretary's office just for a student like you. Sir Edward isn't here so Mr. Gray is definitely busy. He will have no time for you. Who do you think you are anyway?'
The receptionist allows her mind to speak those evil thoughts about Yve.
Just like that, Yve waits in the lounge. To ease a little of her boredom, she opens
Meanwhile, Vince has just finished his meeting for the day and has returned to his office. He looks at his phone but there are no notifications of missed calls or messages from Yve. He gives Sylvan just to check up on Yve's whereabouts.
"Sylvan, where are you now?"
"I'm on my way back to the base. Do you have any order?"
"Where's Yve?"
"I drove Young Madam at your office before leaving. I offered her to inform the receptionist and she requested. Is she not there yet?"
"The receptionist didn't inform me." Vince replies with a hint of anxiety from his voice.
"Should I hurry back to your office, Boss?"
"No need. Eybelle didn't report anything so she must be waiting downstairs. I'll just call the front desk" Vince ends the phone call.
Instead of calling the front desk, Vince leaves his office and goes down to the front desk.
On the other hand, Yve takes a peek at her watch and notices that it's quite a while already. She places her book inside her bag and walks back to talk to the lady in the front desk.
"Excuse me, Miss. What did Mr. Vincent Gray said?" Yve asks the receptionist.
Contrary to her quite polite response earlier, the receptionist ignores her and continues with typing on her keyboard. Yve insists on hearing an answer so she asks the question again this time, her voice is louder and filled with anger. The lady stares at her before answering her annoyingly,
"Do you think that every person deserves to see our president? You don't have an appointment and you only gave your first name. What do you expect me to do?! Our president is very busy and if I let everybody see him, it will consume all of his time!"
Their encounter is already getting attention from the employees and other visitors. Yve is getting more annoyed too.
"So what did you do ever since I told you I want to see your president?" Yve asks.
"Nothing! Duhh! You're just nobody?! Let me tell you again. Our president is busy and he doesn't have all the time in the world to entertain you. If you have any business, you can set an appointment." The receptionist replies in a very impolite way and unprofessional way.
"Good think that you know that I'm very busy yet your incompetence brought me here!" Vince's voice is loud enough for everyone in the ground floor to hear.
