6 My Queen

VINCE's POV

"Are you okay? How do you feel?" "I'm okay now. Where am I?" she asked me.

"In my place."

"What am I doing here? Why did you bring me here?"

"Yvory, please calm down.""CALM DOWN?! How can I do that?" Yvory asked me the question while folding her arms.

"Okay. I'll tell you.I went to the employee's sleeping lounge to look for you. When I saw you there sleeping, I decided not to disturb your sleep. But then, I heard you shouting in your sleep and I thought that something bad had happened. I tried to wake you up but I can't. So I decided to bring you here to know what is happening."

I explained every detail to her. It feels like I did something wrong when all I did was make sure she is fine. But I think, I saw something changed in her eyes, only it was for a few minutes or it can just be my wishful thinking.

"Uhmm, okay. Thanks anyway. I do believe I'm okay." She said while walking to the door.

She opened the door and said, "I think I should go home now. Sorry for the inconvenience."

Hmm... She still remembers me and want to run away again. I will not let you.

"Wait. Yvory!" I shouted her name since she didn't stop walking.

"I want to ask you something. Just this one question before you go."

She stopped and turned around saying, "Just one question. Go ahead."

Hmm... My little kitten you haven't changed. You easily fell to my trap. Now, you can't leave without telling me everything.

"Why are you running away from me?"

"ME?! Running away?! Why should I? I just want to leave because it's almost time for my shift."

"Oh, really?" I asked her and began to close the distance between us."

What are you doing? Just stay there."

"Yvory, do you still remember me?" A smirk formed on my face as I saw the shocked look on her face.

I don't think I will be needing her answer because her face revealed it. Now, I will make sure that you will never escape my claws. I made you mine once and I will do it again and this time for a lifetime.

YVE's POV

I don't know what to say. I can't seem to find the right answer to his question.

"Sir, of course I remember you. You are the eldest son of the company I work at and you arrived this morning." I am not sure if he took this petty lie of mine.

"Oh, I see."

His smirk is still on his face. That smirk is one of the reasons I fell in love with him but that would also mean that he didn't fell for my lie. I need to leave now because I wasn't prepared for this. I need to formulate my strategy against this guy. I need to be careful because he can clearly see me like I'm an open book.

FLASHBACK

"Ughh!! Why can't I win?! Can't you just let me win for once?"

"If I let you win, you will brag about it to others. What about me?" the young boy said.

"But you're the mobile Grand Master in this campus!" The young girl pouted.

"Exactly the reason why I can't lose." The boy pinched the girl's face.

Only the afternoon breeze filled the university park as the young girl is looking as her smartphone.

The young girl then moved and lied down on the young boy's lap and said, "But I think people will not discriminate you if you lose once to your queen right?"

The boy stopped looking at his phone to stare at the girl claiming to be his queen."Queen, I like the sound of that. Yes, you are my one and only queen but rather than losing to you, I want you to stand beside me, in your throne."

"How do I do that?""I'll help you. With the skills and resources of a Grand Master how can you lose?"

"Okay, King!" The girl smiled and hugged the boy.

"That's my Queen."

END OF FLASHBACK

"Thank, Ed. Enjoy your night." Vince ended the call and looked at me.

I wanted to ask why did he call his secretary but I know I am not in the position.

"Yvory, you said that you have work tonight that is why you NEED to leave, right?" He emphasized the word NEED which made me feel nervous.

"Yes?"

"So, there's no need to rush. I told Ed that you are with me."

"What?! So, he will tell the HR and I will absent for tonight? That can't be. That is very unprofessional. Look, Vince, I just really think this is not the right time. I can't lose this job. I ...."

"WAIT!!!" Vince hold both of my shoulders to make me stop.

"It's not like that. I told Ed to tell the HR that you are working with me so you can't report to the office."

"Okay..." I sighed to calm myself down.

"But what is the business that you need someone like me? I mean my position is not high enough to allow me to be in speaking terms with you."

"Relax! You still have the tendency to overthink. Let your KING handle it."

I blushed hearing the word KING. I can't help but remember the past. Okay, I will let him handle it. But I know that our agenda is not business.

"So? What are we talking about?"

"Glad that you asked. But before that, we need to eat. I am very hungry."

"You should tell me now. I am not hungry." Just then my stomach grumbled.

"You're not hungry in that state, huh!"

Full of shame, I said, "Okay. Let's eat."

I walked out of the room and stopped to look at the entire place. The place is so fantastic. We are in a penthouse and and it's loft type. The bedroom overlooks the entire place. I can see the living room and even the view outside. It is breathtaking.
