82 A word with You

Inside the van, both the stylist and Tristan were unaware of the things happening around. Yve, on the other hand, can't be bothered as she's busy with her phone. She's trying to get the permission for an immediate permission from Noble's head office but she's been in circles and nothing good is coming out from it. Chrysthe who is sitting on the front passenger seat noticed the irritable look on Yve's face.

"Ms. Yvory, is there any problem?" Chrysthe asked.

"I can't get my permission approved by the customer service department." Yve answered.

"Chrysthe, you know what to do..." Jaleb whispered.

Chrysthe sends a message to Vince.

"Ms. Yvory wants to use Noble's design for the music video. But since it's of late notice and a customized order, she can't get through."

Vince read the message in the middle of the meeting. A smile flashed on his face. This shocked the entire room. Vince is the type of person who's very stiff and strict but this time they saw their boss smile, a gentle one. Edward signaled for them to stop the conversation and wait until Vince is finished. Vince stood up and called someone.

"Hello? This is Vincent Gray. I need you to do something for me." Vince said.

But since they can't hear what the other person was saying, they continued to guess on who it might be and the reason for their president's call.

"I want you to accept the request of SkyMu and offer the best. I won't take no for an answer!"

"Good! Then I'll be expecting a good news then." Vince ended the call and turned to the rest of the people in the room.

He returned to his seat and asked, "So gentlemen, where were we?"

This time the smile is gone and the coldness filled the entire room. It's back to business.

On Yve's side, they have finally arrived at the main boutique of the shop, Noble, but since her request wasn't accepted yet, all they can do is park and wait outside. Chrysthe signaled Jaleb that Vince already knew and is on the move now. Then Yve's phone rang.

"Hello?" Yve answered.

"Yes! We're actually outside the main boutique."

"Okay! Thank you very much!" Yve ended the call happily.

"They agreed. So I put it on your capable hands then. Work with their designer to find the best suit fit for him and our theme."

"Yes, Ms. Yvory." With that they head inside the shop. The two gentlemen followed them as well.

But they didn't expect to welcomed but none other than the owner of Noble and the mother of Vincent, Madam Madelaine Gray. Jaleb and Chrysthe can't help but look stiff in front of the woman. Yve noticed this and looked at them questionably.

"What's wrong?" Yve asked.

Now, the bodyguards knew that Yve and Madelaine haven't met each other.

"Nothing."

Madelaine knew then that this lady in front of her is the rumored important person to her son by seeing Jaleb and Chrysthe behind. But since it seems like Vince hasn't informed her about the CONFERENCE yet, she decided to keep this secret.

She calmly approached Yve's team and offered her hand.

"Welcome to Noble. I'm Maddie, one of the designers. How can I help you?"

Maddie is Madelaine's screen name. Only few people knew that this designer Maddie is actually the owner, Madelaine. This is how she was able to maintain the quality of the products. Even in Noble only the high officials new that Maddie and Madelaine are one.

Yve accepted her hand and said, "I'm Yvory Smith from SkyMu Entertainment. I was hoping I can use one of your products for our talent."

"Hmmm... And I assume this is your talent.."

"Yes."

Then Maddie circled around Tristan and looked at him from head to toe.

"We certainly have something for him. But may I know the theme?"

"A cool and cold CEO. But I don't want him to stand out because of his suit. Since he will be acting, I want the most simple but the coldest kind of suit that you have." Yve answered on behalf of the stylist, who seemed unable to get over the excitement that Maddie, the famous designer is standing in front of them.

"Hmm, I see." Maddie answered.

"Rose, please lead them to the latest limited edition designs. Please also include the ones inside the special case..."

"But that was...."

"It's fine. The recipient wouldn't mind."

Hearing this exclusive words made Yve so happy. She bowed and respectfully said, "Thank you very much."

"You're welcome. But while they're choosing, may I have a word with you?" Maddie said while looking at Jaleb and Chrysthe.

"Sure. Don't mind them. If you want we can talk somewhere in private." Yve offered.

"Great! Then this way please." Maddie gestured Yve to her office.

Chrysthe was about to follow but Maddie glared at them sending a message of 'Don't follow us! I want to speak to her alone!'

Chrysthe and Jaleb can only swallow their fears and stay in their place.

Jaleb sent a message to Vince who just finished his meeting.

"Your Queen is meeting the Queen Mother."

Vince smiled at his phone. He knew that this news have reached his mother for quite awhile. But since his mother was busy, he also knew that now would be the time she will probably want to meet Yve. Destiny must have planned this all along. He replied,

"Let my Queen stood her ground. She can do it."

Vince doesn't need to worry about the things that they are talking about. He can only anticipate what would his mother tell him and what will Yve's impression of her future mother-in-law. His mother would test Yve in secret as Yve passes the test without even knowing. After all, both of them are smart and witty in their own ways.

"I can't wait to go home." Vince whispered to himself as Edward can't help but look at this guy he barely even recognize at times.
