Left with no other choice, Yve is driving the car with Vince on the passenger seat. They drove past the city lights and are now approaching Yve's favorite fast food restaurant when she stopped being the Smith's princess.
"Are we going to eat here?" Vince asked.
"No. We're just going to order our dinner to-go and eat in that place."
"Okay, then."
Yve then drove towards the drive-thru area of the restaurant. Yve ordered a super-large meal containing potato fries, spaghetti, one piece chicken and a large cola. She turned to Vince and asked for his order. Vince wasn't familiar with the menu so he went with Yve's order. After paying, Yve drove to another window where the staff hand their food to them. Yve received them and handed them over to Vince and continued driving.
Vince took a look around the packs of food they just bought.
"Do you often do this drive thru?" Vince asked.
These common things are new to him. Even for Yve, she never thought she would get to experience this kind of food not until she lost the power and money that she used to have.
"Sometimes when I decided to eat at home but too tired to cook. However, I often eat inside their restaurant."
"Hmm…."
"I know what you're thinking, Vince. They might not be as healthy as the 3 to 5-star restaurants we used to dine in but they're delicious and not to mind, affordable."
"I didn't say anything. It's not like I find itbad or disgusting. This is just new to me and I'm interested to know you more, especially the years that we weren't together." Vince said.
"....."
Yve didn't give any response but instead drove faster to their destination. The landscape had changed from the bright city lights to dim lighted highway with less cars on the road. After a few more minutes, Yve pulled the car over.

"We're here!" She said.
Vince looked around and saw nothing but trees on his side but as soon as Yve opened the door on her side, he heard the waves.
'We must be on a beach.' Vince thought and came out of the car with their dinner in his hands. He followed Yve as she walked towards the seashore. When they felt the soft texture of the sand beneath their feet, Yve turned around and said,
"Welcome to my personal space!"
'How come this public beach became her private space?' Vince can only ask himself silently. He didn't have the courage to ask Yve because of all the evil things that she had to go through because of her greedy step sister and mother.
Vince followed Yve who is now sitting down and busy opening the food they bought. She even prepared a cloth where they could sit along with the small lamp. Being a gentleman he is, he removed his coat and used it to cover Yve's exposed legs.Yve smiled and tapped the place beside her encouraging Vince to take that seat beside her.
"It's peaceful here….." Vince said.
"Yeah. This is why I come here. " Vince stared at Yve as she uttered the words.
"I go here every time I reminisce our time together and how much I wanted to turn back time and call you." Then Yve leaned her head on Vince's shoulder and continued to share about her past.
"I even lost count of how many times I cried here and wished for your comeback. I often wish for your return on my birthday."
Vince put her arm around Yve and pulling her body closer with her head leaning on his chest now.
"You don't have to wish for it anymore. I'll always be here for you as long as you want me to."
"Then, that will be forever, Mr. Gray."
"I hope so." Vince's voice was filled with uncertainty. Yve looked up as Vince looked down. Their eyes met and stayed that way for quite awhile.
"Are you doubting my love for you?!" Yve finally exclaimed.
"No, it's not like that. But I'm afraid that if you will know meafter we broke up, you might hate me and leave me once more."
"You mean, like who are Sylvan, Chrysthe and Jaleb to you? Where and how did you get them to work for you?" Yve asked as Vince's eyes showed how shocked he was.
"Did you…"
"No. I tried to investigate and found nothing about them."
"But why didn't you ask about them?"
"You entrust my life to them and I do trust you. Besides, I know that you will find the time to tell me."
"But…." The usual confident Vince is now gone. He's afraid to lose Yve once more and the woman in his arms knew this. She took his face closer to her and whispered,
"Tell me everything now. Try Me!"
