153 Bad Thoughts

The guests arrived at the hotel and were told to rest for the day, since they were both tired from work and flight. Edward and Nyelle walked down to the lobby.

"Nyelle, you should go with Jaleb on your way to the base." Edward said and Nyelle turned her head to look at him.

She felt a little sad as so many random things are on her brain. She's thinking that Edward is probably going to go back to Emika's room and spend the day there. She's worried, sad and so many mixed emotions within her that she had never felt before.

"Ahh, okay." Nyelle answered but her tone was low which got Edward a little worried about her.

"Are you okay, Nyelle?" Edward asked and his face was too close and she was so late to react. Nyelle took a step back but looked up and their lips met for a smack.

Jaleb who just went down from the presidential suite saw it but decided to stay quite as he understood the privacy that the people will need. Instantly after, Nyelle ran outside without looking back. Edward was also in a daze with what just happened so Jaleb ran after Nyelle knowing that she might be still in danger.

"I know. I won't say a word. Let's get you back to the base." Jaleb promised while Nyelle nods her head and followed him to where his car is parked.

Jaleb kept true to his word and the entire car ride to the base was quiet. Nyelle reached her room still zoning out. Jaleb saw this and can't help but nod his head side to side.

'These two lovebirds are way too stupid for my taste.' He thought to himself and walked to his room to rest.

Back at the hotel, Edward was still deep in his thoughts on what really happened that time. However, he was brought back to reality by Emika.

"Edward, do you have anything to do today?" Emika asked.

"Actually I do. I have to do errands for my cousin."

"This early in the morning?"

"Yes. You should also rest. He might want to see you tonight." With that Edward just left without saying more.

Emika didn't know how to react. Edward's coolness towards her is one of the reasons why she fell in love with him. She continues to admire Edward's back until she can't see him.

That day Edward became very busy with the tasks entrusted to him by Vince prior to the Board Meeting. Nyelle on the other hand can't help but think about the endless possibilities that Edward might have ended in the hands of Emika.
