Yve safely arrives at her office and sat on her chair with Sylvan closely following her. When Sylvan noticed that she has finally calmed down, he started his report on her schedule for the day.
"Sir Edward is wondering where you will meet Ms. Nyelle this afternoon." Sylvan courageously asked.
"Ahh, I almost forgot! Thanks, Sylvan. I will meet her at our usual coffee shop. It's just three intersections south of Vince's hotel. I will inform Nyelle of this." Yve happily texted her friend and as Sylvan was about to excuse himself, Yve called out to him.
"Sylvan? Please wait. I have something to ask you." She said causing the latter to walk back to her desk.
"Yes?"
"Do you know the house that Vince bought after the penthouse incident?"
"Yes, Miss. What about it?"
"Is it still under his name?"
"I believe so. I never heard from Sir Edward that the Boss has sold the house. Why do you ask?"
"Hmm… I was just thinking of moving out of the hotel." Yve honestly answered.
"Really?! I bet the Boss will be delighted about it. But are you sure you're okay with it?"
"I guess I will be fine if there are more people around the house rather than just the two of us." Yve honestly said.
"So should I make the necessary arrangements?"
"Hmm… just ask someone to clean the place first. I will talk to him about it." Yve said and dismissed Sylvan to do his work in his office.
She then looked at the files she needed to check and starts to read them before her first meeting of the day.
At the same time, Edward is discussing the updates to Vince.
"With everything that happened in the wedding and the ceremony yesterday, the stock value of Stones has steadied and their Board has finally calmed down." Edward said.
"That's good. So in the meantime, we will do checks in their accounts."
"I'm already on it. I will send you the details before the day ends."
"Good. How about the Gray Group?" Vince asked.
"The stock value of Gray Group is the same as before. I believe..."
"That's not good. We need to make a steady growth or else our own Board will think that we're too focused on Stones. Give me the updates on existing projects as well as our newly acquired projects. Let's change our focus into 70-30 giving majority to Gray Group." Vince ordered.
"Yes, Bro.! I have already placed the projects on you right desk. They are color coded in the same way as before." Edward confidently said.
"Thanks."
When Vince dismissed Edward, they both received a text message. Vince's message is from Yve.
"I will meet Nyelle after work. I might be a little late than usual but don't worry I will eat dinner with you. Okay? Don't over stress yourself." Yve reminded him even through text.
Edward on the other hand, received an update from Sylvan,
"The Young Madam said they will meet at their usual café three intersections south of the hotel. I already informed Slayne. Ms. Nyelle was already informed by the Young Madam."
As calm as it seems, hours pass by easily with the coupe doing their respective works – reading files, attending meetings and business engagements. Since Yve informed him that she will be a little late in going home, Vince decided to add some meetings on his list.
"Bro, I need to ask your permission." Edward suddenly said after they finished the last meeting which was part of the original schedule.
"What is it?" Vince asked his cousin in a relaxed way.
"I need to go out to pick Nyelle from the base and drop her to their meeting place." Edward replied which made Vince look at him.
Vince saw the sincerity and firmness in his cousin's eyes. He knew that once Edward is dead serious about something, nothing, no one not even him can stop this man.
"I understand but you have to be back before our meeting with the potential client." Vince reminded him.
"Yes, Bro. Thanks." Edward happily said as he quickly left the room.
'Break a leg, my dear cousin.' Vince thought and recalled what happened to their wedding once more.
As part of the tradition, the bride throws her bouquet of flowers to the bride's maid including the maid of honor. His wife made an exception though, all the single ladies in her wedding can participate. Out of all the ladies there, her best friend got the bouquet.
When it was his turn, he had to remove the wedding garter from one of Yve's legs and toss it to all the single men in his wedding. Lucky or destiny, the garter fell to his cousin.
As part of the tradition, the man who received the garter needs to put it on the lady receiver of the bouquet. So, Edward put the garter in one of Nyelle's legs. Both Edward and Nyelle were a bit shy as they follow the tradition.
"I hope you will find your happiness in her." Vince wished his cousin as he resumed his work.
As Edward fetches Nyelle, Yve is now finishing her works and arranging her things when Sylvan arrived.
"Young Madam…" Edward was about to ask her when he saw Yve preparing to leave.
"What is it, Sylvan?"
"Nothing. I was just about to remind of your meeting with Nyelle but then it seemed there's no need."
"Rest assured, this meeting is something I would never forget. By the way, are you going to drive me there?"
"No. Chrysthe will drive as I will accompany you temporarily. Once you arrive at the café, I will leave you ladies to enjoy your talk." Sylvan explained and just like that they found themselves on their way to the café.
Contrary to how Yve's peaceful arrival at the café, Nyelle finds herself in a dilemma. She just received a message from Edward that he's on the way to pick her up.
"What should I do? Should I just ask Slayne to drive me instead? Or maybe Eybell and Jaleb but I haven't seen them the past few days." Nyelle said as she went out of her room to ask Slayne instead.
Without knocking on Slayne's door, he just blurted out,
"I need your help." Nyelle exclaimed.
