True to her words, Nyelle went looking for Slayne. She explained what really happened but not in full details. Slayne got the rough idea and accepted Nyelle's verbal report.
"I heard from Eybelle that you have a favor to ask from me?"
"Yes." Nyelle explained her plans and this got Slayne a little excited. However, he encountered a bit of a problem.
"Ms. Nyelle, we might have a problem about that. Sir Edward is on secretarial duties in the coming months as this time of the year, they usually have the annual operation departments' inspection." Slayne informed her.
"So? How will that affect our plans?" Nyelle asked.
"He and Mr. Gray would travel from one company branch to the other to see the conditions of the working station of the employees. At night, Sir Edward would just head to his room and sleep. I don't think it would be good for him if we take too much of his resting time." Slayne explained.
"I see. Then, maybe I'll just cook food for him. Maybe dinner?" Nyelle thought of another idea.
"I'll give you a duplicate key of his room. This is actually my key so in case he will check it via the system, he will only see my name."
"But isn't that…"
"It's okay. I can handle it."
"I'll also cook you some, Slayne."
"I'll look forward to it then."
With that Nyelle heads to the kitchen and talks to the kitchen staff.
'It seems we were right after all. She's someone special to Secondo.'
'I bet she's planning to cook for Secondo. It's the time of the year that he's very tired.'
'Good idea, Ms. Nyelle.'
The kitchen staffs have their own thoughts on Nyelle's actions but one thing's for sure. If it makes their Second-in-command then they'll gladly help.
"Thank you for letting me use the kitchen. I'll see you in a short while." Nyelle bowed before running to her room to get her recipe book.
While Nyelle is already cooking for Edward, her best friend is still on her way to the hotel. She's stuck in the traffic and she hates it. She wants to be productive and being stuck in the traffic is not doing her any good.
"Ms. Yve, you look agitated. Is there a problem?" Chrysthe asked as she never saw her, this frustrated.
"Nothing. I just hate traffic. I still plan to cook for Vince but now it might be impossible."
'That's why.'
"Why don't we buy some groceries and cook the dishes at your house?" Chrysthe suggested.
"Your house is closer now to our destination. There is also less traffic going to your house from the Bosses current location." He added.
"But the cleaning…"
"It was just finished. But if you're scared, it's just fine."
"No! I think I can handle it. In the meantime, why don't we head to the nearest supermarket and give Sylvan a call? Please tell him to meet us at the house." Yve ordered which was immediately obeyed by Chrysthe.
Yve, on the other hand, sent a text message to Edward.
'Please drive Vince to the house he bought after your last meeting. I'll be there tonight. Don't tell him yet, though.'
Edward smiled when he read the message and proceeded with their last meeting of the day.
Within a short period of time, Yve finished buying the ingredients and that's when she received an MMS from Nyelle.
"I'm willing to give our feelings a try. But since, he's quite busy, I decided to cook for him as a prelude." The message said with the addition of the picture of the dish she just finished cooking.
Yve smiled at her friend's decision. She then gave a reply.
"Good luck. We actually thought of the same way. I just finished my grocery shopping for our dinner tonight." Then she took a picture of the bags of groceries.
Chrysthe was quite amused with his Lady Boss. Before long, they find themselves in the house. Sylvan is already waiting for them and has prepared the kitchen.
"Ms. Yve…"
"I'm sorry for calling you over. Ahh… you've already prepared the kitchen. Thank you very much." Yve expressed her gratitude.
"I have already patrolled around the area", Sylvan said.
"Good. I'll continue to stay outside the house." Chrythe whispered back.
"Okay. Then I'll help the Young Madam in cooking." Sylvan replied as they went on their separate responsibilities.
In just a short while, Yve sets up the table which marks her finishing the dinner. Amazingly, Vince arrives at the house.
"What are we doing here, Edward?"
Vince's voice is loud enough for Yve to hear as she was walking towards the door to welcome him. She opened the door and exclaimed,
"I told him to drop you here. I prepared something for you."
"Hmm… Good job, Ed."
Vince and Edward were about to head inside the house when Yve blocked the way for Edward.
"What's wrong?" Vince was shocked by his wife's action.
"You need to go back to the base now." Yve said
"Why is that?" Edward asked.
"Just be a good boy and follow me. Besides, something is waiting for you. Or wait, is it someone?" Yve teased Edward with a wink. The latter got an idea on what's happening. Instantly he excused himself and drove the car as fast as he can.
"What was that about?" Vince asked.
"Successful matchmaking?" Yve answered as she guided Vince towards the dining area.
Eagerly to taste her wife's cooking again, Vince instantly sat down and accepted the dishes that Yve placed on his plate.
Meanwhile, the man who's excited to see what's in store for him has finally arrived at the base within 15 minutes. Slayne was shocked to see how fast his second boss drove from the gate to the building.
'If you ran faster Secondo, you might caught her in the moment of setting the food for you in your room. Sylvan's accurate ability to see the person's future decision is really scary.' Slayne thought.
And like Sylvan said to Slayne, Edward runs as fast as he can to his room. When he saw that the door is slightly open, he quietly sneaked in and saw Nyelle placing the dishes on his desk.
"There! I hope he will like it." Nyelle said to herself or so she thought when Edward responded.
"Why don't you ask him when he eats the food?"
Nyelle was shocked and didn't dare to turn her head around.
"Nyelle?"
