Chapter 23：Designated Husband

They arrived in their respective offices very early. Karla then retrieved the minutes and finalized it while Seb had a hard time focusing on the documents that needed his signature. The psychological culprit; he was extremely busy with his mystical glances to Karla.

" Done!" Karla stood up and satisfactorily forwarded her report to Seb, her manager.

" What do you think, are you satisfied or not?" She smiled.

" Well, these means so much to me, here's your first notable report and indeed comprehensive." He moved closer and held her hands.

" You did a very good job in helping me and Nomin. Just imagine, one day, if I leave this body in God's time, your husband, the real Seb will reap what we will be doing these days in this company. Not just him, but your children as well. By that time, you two will be enough for one another and will be more happier." Godem in Seb pressed her hands and smiled. She felt sad but it seems it was her husband talking to him. She hurriedly ran downstairs and went to Nomin and sobbed facing him while teary eyed.

" Haha, and why this one. Hmm...I'll close the door first, wait here. What's the problem." Nomin asked.

" This...this is quite serious, I thought its just a joke. Anyway, I'll listen. Of course, I'm your husband, remember that...and there's just a thin air in between us now. The door is locked and...I can't breath...the aircon was even set to high cool, you know what does that mean...you're killing me my dear..." His breathe was enormous as she bowed down and cried on her seat. There was silence but not less than a second Seb knocked the door.

" Nomin...please open the door. Remember Banli, Nomin..." Nomin opened the door and angrily closed it when Seb has entered and seated.

" You can enter anytime even its close, right? Why bother on knocking. Its hilarious." Nomin whispered him.

Godem in Seb was just still and standing. He was very silent.

The Nomin spoke seriously.

"Hmm...I'll be going to the new site a little while, I don't know if I can be back today. The private surveyors, architect and geodetic civil engineers will arrive at 1 o'clock. We'll use the smaller company bus. Don't worry...Seb will be with you at home. Hmm, there seems to be a problem there on thermodynamics of the frameworks, based from the Civil Engineer's point of view, the area was known to be foggy due to Mt. Sidakay virgin forest near it. Well its not just nearby but its laden on the volcano's seat. As reported, the buildings' blueprint were ready since Seb's time its already set. I never knew about it but the buildings' previous budget on structural frames need to be revisited. I mean the materials, accordingly, too much low in temperature could affect the preparation, budget and materials for structural strengths. The latter engineer did not consider it because he has not gone yet to the site. Its my job now to show to them the site so I have to be there in their company. Nomin explained but Karla interrupted.

" No, you are not leaving alone. Its risky. Demido's shadows are monitoring us, our whereabouts. Just send someone to accompany them, please don't go there Nomin."

" No comment. But I will tell Banli to send angels for your safety." Seb approved his purpose.

Though worried but Seb's reassurance pacified Karla. They were still together enjoying their lunch at the canteen. Nomin kept letting the two laugh on his shallow jokes.

At 1 o'clock, Nomin visited Karla upstairs and bade goodbye, held her hands and still reassured her while Seb was just looking somewhere by the stained glass window.

" I can go with you, why not." Karla insisted.

" No, I'll be in a company of all guys, no bathroom, no house to stay there its too far, we'll just stay and sleep in the bus. Don't be a foolish girl, stay here with Seb, okay?"

Then he left while they just peep by the window, seeing the bus to depart. Seb just got back to his seat and immediately went out. He proceeded to the roof top and had a squat on the floor and sighed.

" Nomin...what are you doing, you're considering this timing for a purpose? No, this isn't fair anymore, my suspension might be reclusion perpertua. No it isn't , I forgot I'm not in heaven. Huh! he shook his head.

While he was trying to rewind in his memory what Nomin had told him through thought two hours ago, it was really an intense order from a husband.

"It shocked me. This puts me in the verge of sin. Banli, where are you? Can you erase my memory now, you know I can physically transform her but can't possess her thoughts."

Then there was a very loud thunderstorm that spread its gloom throughout skies. Seb proceeded to the canteen and bought some snacks to her. The thunderstorm continued to echo in every corner of the place. He went downstairs visited some of the departments. Every department head was happy upon his visit and he jotted down specific concerns that need to address. At 5'oclock they went home with Karla. On their way, the thunderstormn was still pressing its noise and Seb noticed she was declining her body forwards just to reach the tips of her feet. Its her high heels closed shoes hurting the tip of her toes. They become reddish.

" Goodness...they're hurt, it sores the most, let's be in a hurry. How long had been it hurting you? Let's pass by in the pharmacy and buy some meds." Seb said but ironically thinking of healing it without meds.

They entered in a pharmacy buying some ointments, band aid and gauze. Karla didn't want him to accompany her inside but Seb insisted of not leaving her alone for her safety. When they reached home, he carried her inside and gently put her on bed. He went to the kitchen, used the heater for some hot water, took the small pail inside. He mixed a small amount of hot water with cold to get a lukewarm result then dip Karla's feet in it. A few seconds passed, she felt relieved while he's glued looking at her closing her eyes, trying to pacify the pain for how many days of tolerating it under her close shoes. Then after a while, without her knowing, Godem already healed it but still Godem put some ointment and covered it with gauze.

" There it goes...okay, have a rest for a while, hmm, around 15 minutes we'll have our dinner. He smiled and left her.

He prepared the table and went back to the bedroom after setting it romantically, there's even a candle in between the seats. To his surprise, she's not on bed anymore and he began to panic.

"Karla! Karla!" Seb shouted.

" Seb, I'm here, no worries, I just took a shower and will get out now. Then she did open the door quickly and asked.

" I'm fine, I'm fine...calm down." Karla pacified him. As he resisted looking at her then immediately proceeded to the window, closed it then he talked while facing the doorway.

" Just...come out when you're fine. I'll wait at the kitchen." Seb said then walked out.
