Chapter 66：Family Reunion

The manager's office got a lot of visitors just to shake hands with the manager's wife.

" I'll never stay long today since I'm still on leave but the OIC shall sign the non-monetary related transactions. While money matters will be signed by the CEO who will step on at 1:00 pm today."

"Yes, Sir, copy." Where's your Secretary Sir?"

" She just resigned."

" I see. So we'll open for hiring a new Secretary and head foreman as well."

" Be sure that the new Secretary is male, I've got different activities in the next quarter, following the rough schedules and he must know how to drive, yes, that's our new preference for the time being."

Karla was just silent listening at them. When the new Assn't Manager left, both Seb and Karla waited at the lounge.

" Who's your next appointment?" Karla asked.

" Camille. Marlou said he'd call her to meet me this morning here. That woman should find her way out."

" Darling, you're too far, stay beside me, it's okay." He smiled and stood up as he gently held her hand towards him.

" There you go. Still my heart go mad as always being by your side." He secretly held her hand while waiting at the lounge.

" Hi Seb, where's your beautiful Secretary." Camille arrived with her new robust bodyguard.

" Ah, she resigned already. By the way, meet my wife, Karla."

Camille was speechless while looking at her and surprised to see a familiar face from years ago.

" You look familiar to me. I just can't recall. But anyway, nice meeting you, Karla, you're beautiful."

" Thank you, Camille and nice meeting you too."

" Okay, let's start the ball rollin', Camille, can you tell me something about your proposal?"

" I will buy the Huimaras branch using Demido's share. We've got the property's estimated market value and I'm interested in the area."

" No. This is also the side of the CEO, this company just newly purchased the area and come to think, we have our project there, you know it better than anyone else. besides, why you'll use Demido's share when it isn't yours. You don't have any full authority."

"You're wrong. I've got one notarized authorization from him."

"But we'll not be selling the place. But I'm just curious if when did you let him sign?" He looked at her eyes and she kept quiet.

" Last night." Camille replied. After a little while, she took her exit with his bodyguard.

Seb was stuck up and blankly said.

" There's a two-way possibilities, either it's fraud and she forged Demido"s signature or he has risen again out of hell.

" Hmm...we will talk about this at home. Everything will be alright so it's better to head on back to contemplate and let's see and try to background check Camille's whereabouts these days. It is also possible that she only created a story for us to believe."

" Yeah, I feel the same. Let's get goin' and this brings us a heavy heart. If he really showed up for her, thus he's just around and would possibly hunt us." Seb suspected.

Without a doubt, they got out and headed to the car at the parking lot and silently boarded. Surprisingly, there's a sheet of paper on the driver's seat saying, "at the portal."

" What does that mean?" Karla was puzzled.

" We'll go there." Seb seriously decided.

When they reached home, both of them hurriedly stepped inside the bedroom and locked it. In a minute, Seb held her hands and they were gone.

At the portal.

" There's no one here...and what was that message all about and who wants to see me."

They both sat down at the bench in front of the big tree and waited for any signs. Though suddenly, he started to see some angels quietly coming and leaving. All of the sudden, Karla was waving her hand towards them.

" Why you're smiling alone and waving." Seb asked her.

" I saw them smiling at me too." Karla explained.

" Who?" Seb queried.

" The angels." Karla replied.

" Hmm..I see, I now remember."

After a while Psyda and Gante were approaching them. Noticeably, Karla was curiously defying her senses to recall such faces.

"They looked familiar." She uttered.

" Have known them after you and Nomin reached home."

" Who...who are they..." Karla whispered carefully on him.

The old woman gently moved and gave a maternal embrace on her. Filled with questions inside her mind yet Karla never knew what to do though her heart sadly wants to burst.

" I was that Auntie in the bakery long time ago, I'm your biological mother and he's your father, Gante. We're sorry...for all those years of your suffering. We failed to directly help you before but its just that we just thought that Godem, your husband, has to live again. The elders knew and in the beginning, their disapproval seems intense. Until such a time that we're not even permitted to be near you. Godem, is your soulmate, he risk everything and time had made its way to both of you. Now, we're back to where we belong and we're here to just bless you both before we perish. Indeed, we're indebted to the elders and to Him who gave this chance. This time, your marriage will soothe on its smoothest way. God be with you and Godem.

She hugged her tight and with tears on her eyes while Gante and Godem were eventually discussing about Camille's issue but later they joined Karla and Psyda's farewell. Gante then put his hand on her shoulder and smiled.

" We'll always be up there, watching. By now, your time to be with your husband has come and be the best wife for him and to your children soon. We wish you happiness."

Then they both went back to the portal and swallowed by the light. She was still sobbing while looking at the tree. She just met them as a family that she longer for centuries but they were instantly lost out of her sight. He comforted her and they sat back to the bench.

" They both have fulfilled their mission, God grant them mercy too. For now, everything will be alright. Come, hold my hands, let's go back home." He gently kissed her forehead and wrapped his hands around him. They were gone after the wind blows from the lovely mountain of angels.
