Chapter 69:Recovery Period

Sometime in a week after, when she was discharged from the hospital, they were both excited to be back home. She touches everything she sees inside their house and teary-eyed especially when she reached to their bedroom. It was all the while meaningful when she gazed at the chestnut tree with it's ever dazzling green leaves adjacent to the windows. The guise of the mezzanine design was also part of realizing Karla's dreams in the past life. Subsequently, it's entirely Godem's idea absorbed by Seb.

" I must sleep tight watching the clouds and starlights, I wanted my husband to know that even before this, I already liked to see the open windows, the chestnut tree, and everything he did for me matters in century-folds. He had labored hard, waited too long, fought eye-for-an eye with the demons and had been the loneliest angel who sacrificed a lot before the heavens sent him back to me." Then she smiled and embraced him.

" You're the breathe of my life, so I exactly found you in this spot of the world to help us both live again. Now, I'm finally complete. Thank God that you are safe now. Hmm...but anyway, you have to get enough rest around, the abduction and tragic vehicular accident may have brought you physiological trauma. According to the doctor, most likely, you should not be left alone. So it's my turn everyday."

" That's plenty of job to dole for; but I will lighten it up." She lean on his shoulder as they sat on the edge of the matress facing the open windows outside with the walloping wind blows.

But the sudden alarm broke the silence.

" I set it for your meal time. It's 15 minute before meal so off to go now." While he moved out of the room with some few paces after leaving her, he immediately returned and kissed her forehead twice.

" Just relax and enjoy the peaceful moment. I'll be right back."

She smiled and jokily forced him to get out.

At the company, Marlou and the investigating bureau agent met to talk about Camille and a few notified witnesses surfaced during the conduct of the investigation. A summon was served to Camille due to the unexplained properties not supported by statements and sources declared not found and non-existing. She was confused of the properties because the owner Demido was not a registered citizen but questionably donated such huge amount to her and could be an accomplice to any bogus investment scams that timely popped up in their place. She was also charged of forgery to Demido's signature specimens and pointing Demido's identity to various photos where no one were on it but a space. The bottom line: she was psychologically dejected and needs professional help.

" So what's up! Can you not detain her this time? the crime has deeply affected my company and friends. She has to pay for abducting someone and it's not a joke anymore but a severe crime."

" We're doing our best Sir, but since she's psychologically incapable so we need the doctor's statements to verify.

" Now that you're finely seated, try this corn soup, you'll be looking for me every second if you do." Then he just seriously sat beside her and paused for a while in order to slowly breathe. He was just very silent while looking outside, following the the directions of the murmuring winds and it seemed that every single passing moments along with the reveries of the winds that glided and tickled the chestnut leaves, teasingly disturbed their silence. Likewise, the moment allowed him to hear her voice - the most beautiful of all. Coincidentally, in a split second while Godem in Seb tried to start reminiscing their past lives, Nomin came like creating another sequel of a story Yes, just in time, Karla's guardian angel surprisingly arrived.

" Excuse me...hello..."

" Nomin! goodness..." he exclaimed while she blushed, smiled, took the spoon and sipped a spoonful of corn soup.

" Uhm...I was told by Banli to inform you that, there's a bad news. I'm sorry for my bad timing, but this is really a bad news."

" Be sure it's bad news, go, look at yourself on the mirror, you"re smiling. I guess it's not really that bad." He sighed and bowed his head. Karla winked an eye to Nomin and smiled.

" The elders had a post decision over their judgment. Right there with the jurors and fellow angels, ascribed in your case parchment was the retention of your power even if you are not anymore an angel. However, three days from now, every skills granted to you will be gone. Banli said...that...ev.." Godem stopped him.

" Okay, I got it. Give us three days and extend my gratitude to Banli for the extension."

" But..." Nomin supposed to continue when Godem stopped him again.

" Hmm...I know...you don't need to tell her too buddy but your timing this time is quite historical. Though I missed you, bud. Godem complained yet smiled.

" Okay, noted. I'll subscribe to it, yes I understand. I'm sorry." then the angel Nomin smiled to both of them and left.

Karla moved closer to him and tapped his shoulder.

" The corn soup tastes better, thanks, darling. Calm down now, I wanted to get out tonight, it may also help me to finely recover, can we get out for dinner or we'll just roam around the city? I'd love to walk hand in hand with you, what do you think?" She then closed the windows and got back on bed to get some rest."

" Sure, I'll wake you when it's time and I'll check the car first whether it's serviceable so I could still probably have time to fix if there are any problem." Then he goes with his droopy shoulders.

" He's so cute for being upset, haha." Karla funnily thought.
