Chapter 682 - Yvonne's Ambitious Thoughts

After listening to what her father had to say, Yvonne could only nod as she understood that his words were for her own good.

Therefore, she agreed with what he had said and promised that she would not do something so reckless again.

'Until I grow a little older and much stronger!' She added in her heart as she would not give up entirely on sparring with others.

Rutherford's advice was to spar with people whose skills were around the same level as hers and not get entangled with people who were out of her reach at this moment.

Therefore the child decided to continue sparring with her usual partners, Jax, and Howard until she was able to stand against the rest as well.

Not to forget about Captain Desmo who despite being many times stronger than her, was perfectly capable of controlling the amount of strength he used in his spar sessions against her.

'Regarding Papa's concern…' She thought of the snide remark her father had made against her opponent's lack of control earlier.

As soon as she was strong enough to do so, she would surely compete with Topher once again as she had an exhilarating experience sparring with him today.

If she could maintain her aura for longer then she would not have to worry about Topher being able to control his aura or not.

To achieve this, she would only have to work harder and grow stronger to call for a rematch without causing her father any troubles.

Coming to this conclusion, she nodded her head as she was pleased with the plan she had made.

'Big Brother has not yet found his etcher so he cannot manifest and Captain still doesn't know that I have succeeded in manifesting my aura.' She pondered on the information concerning her current spar partners.

Until she could find people around her age and skill set, she would have to make do with the ones she had at her disposal right now.

This meant that she needed to reveal to the Captain that she could manifest her aura in order to take their duels to the next level while she waited for her brother to find his etcher if he was fated to one.

'I haven't seen one in any of my dreams yet…' She grimaced as in none of her dreams she had witnessed the existence of an etcher staying next to the future Earl Howard St. Claire.

'But I have extensive knowledge about that Pig Prince and his future etcher.' The little girl rolled her eyes as 'Yvonne' from the dreams had more information about the proud son of the Royal family than she did about her own sibling.

Shaking her head in disapproval at these dreams which depicted the memories of 'Yvonne' from the script, the little girl thought of another matter which she was curious about.

'Will they get etchers too?' Her eyes glanced at the remaining boys who were present here.

The only ones with etchers here were the little girl, the heir of the Tanner family, and the two adults.

The rest of the boys, Taylor, Howard, and the Valente twins had not yet found their fated beasts if they had any.

Even her precognitive dreams were of no use in this regard.

After all, without her interference, Taylor Tanner would be dead after getting infected by the plague while the Valente twins would have been strangers that 'Yvonne' had met for a brief interaction.

She did not even know if Howard had an etcher thanks to the strained relationship between the siblings that never improved.

Contrary to the dreams portraying the life of 'Yvonne' from the script, right now Taylor was still alive, Howard was close to his sister, and the Valente family had reunited with the St. Claires.

Therefore, things weren't as they were supposed to be which implied that the little girl had no idea about how their future would unfold.

She would just have to wait and see if the four boys would come across and form their bonds with their fated beasts.

Not to mention that Yvonne was also curious to know if her Butler, Jax could find one of his own.

'Butler Limo has no etcher.' She surmised while wondering if only people with noble blood could gain etchers or if commoners could find their fated beasts as well.

The answer to these doubts, she would find soon enough.

Meanwhile, the rest waited to see what the Earl would do next as they continued to stand in the back garden where the short-lived close combat duel between the two children had taken place.

Ignorant to the multitude of thoughts swirling around in his daughter's little head, the pleased father was glad that she would no longer spar with Topher, a youngster who was still unable to control his aura at will.

However, this happiness would have faded away if he had known of the ambitious thoughts that had taken root in her mind.

Thankfully, he was still clueless about Yvonne's decisions for the future and thus was happy that everything had worked out in his favor.

With the incident here coming to a close, the Earl announced that they head back to the mansion where the Countess and Viscountess would be awaiting their return.

'Get her away from him as far as possible.' He glanced at Topher Tanner from the corner of his eyes as he made up his mind.

Following this, the Earl led everyone back to the mansion.

The three etchers remained outside while the men, the boys, and the little girl all went ahead.

Taylor scowled at his brother before rushing forward to walking with his best friend and the Valente twins.

Butler Limo was walking behind the Count and Viscount so it was only Topher who was left alone.

Jax coughed at this scene and respectfully gestured for the Duke's heir to come along while everyone else had left him behind.

'Boss looked pretty excited while sparring with him.' He had learned how to decipher his Boss's expressions by now hence he knew that he could not neglect this young boy.

Accepting the Young Butler's considerate actions, Topher sighed as he too headed in the same way.

'I cannot leave before I find the answers that I came looking for today.' He declared that come hell or high water, he would accomplish the task for which he had come here today.

Thus everyone headed towards the mansion and soon reached the parlor which was already occupied.

___

Rutherford rolled his eyes when he found Marquess Samed seated in the parlor with his wife and the Viscountess.

Carrying his child over, he sat next to his wife and placed their daughter on his lap.

"Vonny, your clothes!" Raylene exclaimed upon noticing the dirt smeared on the ends of her pretty dress which had been spotless when they had last seen each other.

The rest of the group had also entered the parlor by now and had taken their seats wherever they found space.

There were four large couches in this parlor which gave everyone enough place to rest.

The Earl sat with his wife and daughter on one while the Viscount as always sat with his wife.

On the couch on which Marquess had been seated, Howard and Taylor occupied the space next to him.

Finally, the twins sat on either side of Topher, the one who was in the most uncomfortable seat today as he was being crushed between the two older boys.

However, the men pretended to not have seen his uneasy expressions as this was a way for them to avenge what they had seen in the back garden.

'Petty,' Was the only word that Yvonne could use to describe their behavior.

Rutherford had already been lenient when he let Topher off without even losing his temper at him so he decided to not interfere in what the twins were doing right now.

When the two ladies seemed to have noticed the inconvenience the Duke's firstborn was facing, Trisha was about to ask one of her sons to come and sit next to her.

However, Marcus held her hand, signaling her to let them be.

"They are bonding with each other." He whispered, explaining the reason for the closely packed space between the three boys on that couch.

Taylor snickered in response and was glad that his brother was facing at least a minor inconvenience for what he had done today.

Yet in the next second when Topher's narrowed eyes fell on him, the younger brother looked away almost instantly as though he was avoiding his scary eyes.

Raylene and Trisha were now aware that they had missed something and turned towards their respective husbands, waiting to hear an explanation for what had caused this hostile air that was now surrounding them.

'Do I have to do everything around here?' Marquess Samed rolled his eyes dramatically while shaking his head at the two men seated in this parlor with him.

Rutherford and Marcus were wondering how they would reveal what had taken place to their wives when a big-mouthed busybody felt the need to butt in.

"I can be of some help since I know what happened, Countess and Viscountess." Marquess Sullivan Samed disclosed with a proud expression gracing his face.

'You Madams were so generous while sharing your gossip with me.' He smiled as now it was his turn to return the favor.

Contrary to the wives who widened their eyes in surprise, the rest looked at him as though he had just said something strange.

'How would he know about what had happened?' Yvonne sneered, embracing the role of the biggest skeptic present here.

"How many times have I told you that what you are doing is creepy, Uncle?" Topher Tanner groaned in exasperation when he realized what his maternal uncle had been up to until now.
