Yvonne curtsied to her father before leaving the room with a cold and distant smile on her face.
Once the door was shut, Rutherford was the only one left inside the large Office and finally let out the groan which he had been holding in.
It was without a doubt that he had made an enemy for himself after what he had done today.
If there was one word that was appropriate to explain how his daughter could become then that would be courteous.
However, it made him feel as though he was being treated as an outsider who should be treated with respect but needed to be kept at an arm's distance away.
'I thought that she would be fine since she asked for help…' He sighed as he had thought wrong.
As soon as she had received his favor, she turned around and left him alone in this room.
There was only one explanation for what would happen next and just thinking about it was making him groan in frustration once again.
Shaking his head at his fate, he rose from his seat and headed out of the room, bracing himself for the silent treatment he would be receiving from her.
'It has already begun.' He added as she had been cold to him before she left the room, implying that she would be the same for the coming days as well.
Rutherford's inference was right as the little girl who was currently on her way back to her room was thinking of exactly this.
There was still some time before Yvonne's first official class of the day would begin.
Her classes with the Captain were a secret and could not be included in the list of formal lessons that every young girl who wished to debut at sixteen required to be proficient in.
Thus her first official class for the day was etiquette which would commence in a few minutes.
This gave her enough time to determine that her father was getting the cold shoulder for using underhanded methods to force her to do something.
Jax had appeared out of nowhere and had been following her to the venue of her next class.
The anger radiating from his Boss made him seal his lips and remain silent if he did not wish for her fury to be diverted towards him.
He had planned to report to his Boss regarding the whereabouts of the other family members as most of them had already left the mansion.
However, it looked like he would have to wait for a better time to disclose the information he had gained just earlier from the other servants.
Therefore, in silence, Yvonne headed to her destination and entered the room where her classes would be held.
Jax stood outside and held the door open when her etiquette tutor came over before waiting outside once again until her classes came to an end.

Outside the Office, Butler Limo locked the door before turning around with the key in his hand which he now needed to deliver to his Master.
His Master had asked him to lock the door as he had been lost in his thoughts and had forgotten to do so when he was leaving the room earlier.
Therefore, the competent butler was quick to complete the task handed over to him and was now moving to the place where he knew his Master would be.
Reaching that place, Limo knocked on the door and entered only after receiving permission from the one who was inside.
Rutherford was tightening the tie around his neck when he saw his Butler walking through the door.
Seeing this, Limo rushed to help his Master with the coat and the Earl nodded in appreciation once he was done.
"Master, Madam and the Viscountess have left for the Commercial District." The old man reported the news he had heard from the maids who were set to accompany their Madam on her day out.
"Ask them to not interfere unless it is necessary." Rutherford's stern voice echoed in the room, making the Butler nod in acceptance of the order he just received.
The Earl was referring to the secret guards of the St. Claire family who were keeping this estate safe from a distance.
Their duty was to watch over them and act only when they felt that there was a danger to their Masters.
Thus even if Rutherford had not asked Limo to send out this command, the guards who were following the Madam and the Madam's relative from afar would have done their best to keep the ladies safe at all costs.
Having received his next order, Limo left the room to complete this task while Rutherford too headed out but in a different direction.
Despite giving him the cold treatment, his daughter had asked him for a favor so the father would surely make sure that her request had been fulfilled.
With this determination in his mind, Rutherford headed to the place where he knew his employee would be working as he would get another task to complete in haste soon.
The Earl could have sent a servant to do the same job but he did not wish to risk the chances of exposing the purpose of their visit.
After all, this was for the sake of his daughter's privacy which was interlinked to her safety.
Thus the Earl had decided to look over this task personally but he also had another motive in mind for leaving the estate this morning.
His wife had gone with Viscountess Valente for a shopping trip and he had heard from the Butler that the Viscount and twins had also left the mansion.
He did not know for what reason the men had left too and neither was he interested to learn about it.
He, on the other hand, was more interested to see what the situation outside was.
The news about his daughter had already been spread among the nobles so the purpose of his trip outside was for a reconnaissance mission.
His guards could give him information about the commoners but he needed to personally visit an establishment where the other noblemen gathered in order to learn what their thoughts were.
Thus, looking prim and proper, Earl Rutherford St. Claire was prepared to head to the place where he was most familiar with and the people who gathered there were also his acquaintances.

With every adult in the house gone, only Yvonne and Howard remained at home with numerous trusted servants around them to look after them.
The young heir of the St. Claire family was holed up in his room as he brushed up his memory of the lessons taught in the past.
Only by getting his memory refreshed about the past lessons could he move on to the next ones without any troubles.
His evenings were reserved for his physical training and sword practice so now was the time for him to focus on the other subjects taught in the Academy.
Language, philosophy, mathematics and accounts, history, geography, and politics were only a few of the classes they had been taught until now.
There was a lot to cover and too little time to do it in, causing Howard to rush through his notes and books at a scary speed.
'I wonder how he must be doing?' His mind wandered in the direction of his lazy best friend and soon a scowl formed on his face.
'Must be whiling away his time.' He scoffed this time and decided to drag him along to study together one of these days.
Howard's kind intentions were most probably not required as just like him, Taylor too had his head buried inside a book right at this moment.
The two best friends were focusing on their books which would be beneficial for their future in the Royal Academy.
While the boys were busy with their books, the little girl too was focusing on the lessons she was receiving.
The etiquette class had come to an end and the tutor had expressed her praise for the child's improvement from yesterday's lackadaisical attitude.
Right now she was in her dance class which would also end soon, making her eager for the next one to arrive.
'Will he be able to prepare the contract before the Marquess arrives?' Yvonne wondered if her father would be able to complete the task she had handed over to him just this morning.
Thanks to her lacking attention, she missed a few steps which made her dance trainer reprimand her after which she too continued to focus on her class, not letting her mind drift in any other direction.
