Yvonne's next public appearance had just been determined by her parents but she was still being kept in the dark about it.
Right now, she was brushing Demon's thick coat, her way of asking for forgiveness after her rude behavior earlier.
When Demon had communicated with her, she was near too many men and some young boys who had etchers.
Fearing that they might sense her etcher's aura or her aura, she had cut off the connection between them without even letting her etcher complete what he was about to say.
Back then, she deemed this to be the right thing to do but the moment she returned home, facing Demon's saddened appearance made her feel guilty for what she had done.
Thus, she did not return to her room but instead accompanied her beloved horse to his stable.
Jax had followed them and listened to what had taken place at the Tanner estate while she brushed the huge etcher's coat.
"Name the three daughters of Marquess Kiron." She quizzed him at the end of her narration.
She had asked him to be well versed in the who's who of their society as he would soon be mingling with them once CLOVER entered the noble market.
"I think that Boss has gotten confused." Jax sighed while shaking his head at the child before him.
He handed her a different brush meant solely for the horse's mane which she accepted with her brows raised at the words he had uttered in a disappointed tone just earlier.
"The Carter family and Jorbin family have three girls but the Kiron family only has two." He corrected his Boss who seemed to have forgotten about this simple detail.
Yvonne was trying to test his knowledge but here he was, mocking her for mixing things up.
Rolling her eyes, she decided to continue her quiz, thinking of another question to ask her butler.
"How many children does Earl Mikren have?" She smirked while waiting to hear his response.
This was a tricky one so she was curious to see if he would recall a certain piece of information or blurt out the first thing that came to his mind?
"The previous Earl had three sons but the current Earl, the eldest son, is a bachelor so he has no children." Jax gave a confident reply before smirking back, imitating her perfectly.
Yvonne harrumphed at his insolent ways but nodded in acceptance of his answer.
"Good job. Keep your ears open for any information you might receive about them." She reminded him once again and he received her command without hesitation.
Yvonne then spent a little while longer with her etcher before bidding him goodbye.
Demon was satisfied that he had been groomed by his Master and strutted around the back garden with his head held high after she left.
Since Jax was summoned by his mentor, Butler Limo, he could not escort his Boss to her room but the little girl did not mind and allowed him to leave before walking back to her room alone.
As she climbed the stairs to reach her floor, her mind wandered to something she had heard during the tea party.
She then thought of the stone her mother had brought back home which caused her mind to recall the scent she had discovered on her way back to the St. Claire estate.
For the many years that she had been living here, this was the first time that she had found this scent in this world.
In her previous world, being the cold and ruthless CEO of Platina Entertainment, Yvonne St. Claire had a certain image to uphold.
Her signature scent was also an addition to the image she maintained before others.
Therefore, she was surprised to find a similar scent in this world as well.
However, that scented stone belonged to her mother so all Yvonne could do was reach out to the man who was the source of those stones.
'Sevenz?' She called out as she headed in the direction of her room.
The other man was quick to respond and as always, addressed her as his best friend.
Sevenz was the one who had sold those stones to Marquess Samed and Duchess Tanner so she chose to speak to him about what was on her mind.
'Do you still have those aquamarine-colored stones?' She posed her query without hesitation.
She was not about to shamelessly ask for the stone for free but was willing to pay for it.
Therefore, she wasn't hesitant while displaying her interest in the product she had seen for the first time today.
'Oh~ Did you like the fragrant gems?' The man's voice echoed in her mind since they were using their etchers as a medium between them.
'Is that what they are called?' She retorted with another question to which she received an 'En' in response.
After the plague had ended, the master of Ocular had sent a few of his trusted men to different Kingdoms in search of the next sought-after item that Ocular could sell.
It was not appropriate for him to travel across the land as his grieving nephew was staying with him but his employees were ready to even set sail at his command.
Thus one group of his men had left and even returned with haste, once they had come across this amazing product.
Fragrant gems looked just like any other precious stone but had an added bonus to them.
The scent emitted from each stone was both fascinating and distinct in nature.
This implied that even if there were gems of the same kind, the scent they possessed would vary in each one.
Therefore, Sevenz had not given his best friend a positive reply when she first asked about the blue-hued stone.
Upon listening to this explanation, Yvonne nodded in understanding but could not help but feel a sense of disappointment.
If she displayed interest in the aquamarine stone her mother had received, it was without a doubt that she could attain it at once.
However, she did not wish to take away her mother's stone but wanted one of her own.
Hearing the silence coming from the other side, Sevenz frowned but soon found a way to cheer her up.
'I still have a bagful of them at our storehouse so why don't you come over and pick whichever one you like.' He offered to comfort the disheartened child.
'How much would it cost?' Yvonne inquired about the most important matter which caused Sevenz to quiet down for a few moments.
'The answer to my questions.' He stated the cost of any gem she would like to pick for herself.
The little girl was already in her room so she stared out of the window, at the bright but partially cloudy sky.
She knew what kind of questions that man had and was also aware of the fact that she could not keep avoiding these questions for much longer.
Thus, Yvonne St. Claire did not avoid him but agreed to meet him very soon.
Anyway, when they had last met, she had already promised to answer those questions whenever they would meet again but he was the one who offered to sell his products in exchange for her answers.
Since he was so eager to make this profitless deal, she would not try to change his mind.
She could gain a fragrant gem without spending any money so she found no reason to decline his offer.
'I shall receive my payment first then you can select the fragrant gem you want.' He added as soon as she gave her reply of acquiescence.
The child rolled her eyes at the man who was worried that she might run away without paying him or refuse to answer if the gem she desired wasn't found.
'Fine. If that will give you some peace of mind.' She snorted before cutting off the communication between them.
Taking her seat on the table by her window where her assignments were placed, Yvonne scoffed again at the one who was so eager to gain some answers.
She still had no clue about her schedule which made it troublesome for her to set a date on which she could meet her business partner.
Therefore, they would both have to wait until she found an appropriate time to complete this deal they had just made.
