Chapter 782 - Greeting The Princess

'Master, I sensed a strong aura.'

Prince Draco heard this familiar voice in his mind when he had taken his seat at the table placed on the balcony of the Sycamore Palace.

While there was no one at this place other than his nephew and him, the Prince glanced in a particular direction where he knew this voice was coming from.

An abandoned structure next to the Sycamore palace once acted as the residence of one of the King's concubines in the distant past.

However, it had been empty after its owner had died many decades ago.

Despite being left vacant for a while, Prince Draco knew that right at this moment, there must be someone who was within that Palace.

'I know.' He replied, implying that he knew who the owner of the aura was.

He did not hide anything for the one speaking to him was none other than his etcher, the white wolf whom he had named Astolfo.

The etcher who had been resting in the empty palace a little away from them was stunned at first but soon let out a scoff.

'But that other guy did not sense this aura, Master.' He gloated while comparing himself to the other beast that must be lazing around in some other part of these vast palace grounds.

Prince Draco narrowed his eyes as he knew who Astolfo was referring to.

'Watch your mouth.' He scowled at his beast who dared to look down on his elder brother's etcher right before him.

Draco heard a whimper coming from the other side as well as a grumbling complaint that he liked the other etcher more than his own but did nothing to coax him.

This was not the first time that Astolfo had spoken disrespectful words towards his elder brother or his etcher.

If he had been before him right now then the wolf would have received a hit for daring to do so, however, they were away from each other which had saved the beast.

'Well, I am a superior being after all.' He heard his etcher boasting about himself which prompted him to cut off the connection between them.

Astolfo's narcissistic behavior had been amplifying each day that he grew stronger.

This was giving the prince a headache but he could only suffer in silence since he was the only one who could hear those gloating words echoing in his head all the time.

___

Going back to languidly laying on the cold floor of the abandoned Palace, the beautiful white wolf shook his head before closing his eyes.

He was already used to receiving the cold shoulder from his Master so he only sniffed the air which brought him whiffs of the aura this new person was letting out subconsciously.

'Looks like I am not the only one left.' He growled and hoped that he could meet this person soon.

After all, it had been a long time since he sensed such an aura that made him eager to greet this new person.

He had made such a brilliant discovery today and was even about to mention the same but his Master was not interested in hearing what he was about to say.

Thus the wicked wolf decided to keep this information to himself as an act of retaliation for all the times he had been chided and smacked in the past.

___

Yvonne entered the garden, not knowing that her arrival had fallen into the eyes of not only the two princes she wished to avoid but also the etcher belonging to one of them.

Ignorant of the waves she had caused with just her appearance, she curtsied the moment she stood before the Princess.

Princess Felicia smiled widely when she heard the maid announcing the arrival of the daughter of Earl St. Claire.

Most of the young misses she had invited had already arrived ahead of time and only a few girls were not yet here.

Since there were still a few minutes before the time mentioned in the invitation, she did not mind it and welcomed Miss Yvonne into the group.

Yvonne smiled in gratitude before scanning those who had arrived before her.

As expected, Rika and Glennise were right next to the Princess and there was also Aleena who must have come along with her younger sister.

The Jorbin triplets waved at her the moment their eyes met and so did Isadora Carter, the youngest of the three sisters from the Carter family.

Yvonne's eyes then fell on the other two girls present, Jasmine and Fiona Carter who did not display much enthusiasm after seeing who had arrived.

Finally, the only one who was openly displaying hostility while looking at her was none other than the daughter of Earl Blaise, Mae Blaise.

'Looks like the other two haven't arrived.' She surmised when she found two glaring pairs of eyes missing.

From the looks of it, Elna Leopold and Cecily Yona were among the girls who had not yet arrived, and hence Yvonne had not yet faced their glowering faces.

"Pardon me." The voice of a gasping girl coming from behind made her turn around.

"Welcome, Miss Zavanth." Princess Felicia greeted the girl who had just arrived, appearing to have hurried all the way to the Rose Palace.

Silvia Zavanth had indeed rushed the maid who was guiding her here as she feared that she might offend the Princess for delaying the party.

However, her eyes sparkled with gratitude when she heard no words of reproach but was welcomed with a smile.

Being one of the few girls from the lower noble families, Silvia had faced a lot of leering eyes who looked down on her for a long time now.

Even if she made no mistake, oftentimes, she was reprimanded by the daughters of higher nobility when she attended their parties.

Therefore, for someone who had already experienced such things in the past, Silvia was expecting to see similar incidents today.

After all, even at this party, she was the only one with a low status.

Duke Brodie's daughter came second in line after the Princess and the daughters of the many marquesses followed next.

While the Earls were supposed to have neutral power, not too high but neither too low, both Earl St. Claire and Earl Blaise had special statuses in their society.

One was the richest nobleman after the Royal family while the other possessed a booming business with his monopoly in the soap business, or at least was attempting to maintain the same status.

This left Silvia, the daughter of a simple Viscount who had no business background but only a fief to his name.

Thus this morning, her mother had reminded her to mind her manners and she too had been under the belief that she would face some bullying from the misses assembled here.

However, the amicable attitude of the Princess had brought a certain sense of security to her.

"Thank you, Princess." She smiled while curtsying to the one who had organized this party.

Governess Bloom was standing at an appropriate distance away from the gathering of the girls just as she had done during the last tea party and observed them in silence.

Seeing the Princess welcoming them all with a smile on her face made the old lady proud that her pupil was following her guidance from the lessons being taught to her.

"Sorry, we are late." A new voice attracted the attention of the group who had been greeting each other until now.

Turning around, Yvonne, who was now next to Moana Jorbin and Aleena, almost rolled her eyes at the sight she witnessed.

Dressed in an extravagant gown made from multiple layers of silk and lace, Elna Leopold was seen striding in their direction.

The bright pink dress with gold embellishments was too eye-catching, making Yvonne wonder if Elna had just picked the best dress she had in her closet for this event.

After all, even the Princess wasn't dressed in an attire as striking as Elna's which was enough to display the amount of effort the other girl had put into appearing her best today.

However, she wasn't the only one who had attracted their attention.

Elna had not come alone to this party but was being accompanied by another person who was known to not like Yvonne too much.

Standing next to Elna Leopold was Cecily Yona wearing a deep red gown which was stunning, bringing a nod of praise even from someone hard to please like Yvonne St.. Claire.
