"Mango."
When this word was heard, Princess Felicia's eyes widened and she nodded at Young Miss Yvonne St. Claire.
"That's right!" She exclaimed and was glad that someone had helped her out.
Her uncle had revealed this name to her but she had forgotten about it as this fruit was not native to Rosenhyde.
It was said to be from a tropical island Kingdom far from the western coasts of Rosenhyde which made it unfamiliar to her, causing her to have a hard time recalling its name.
"How does Miss St. Claire know?" She inquired, curious to know how the other girl was aware of the existence of this rare and exotic fruit that she had seen for the very first time.
Yvonne had blurted out the name of the fruit and when she realized what she had brought upon herself, it was already too late.
Everyone's eyes were currently on her, including the old Governess whose gaze held both surprise and curiosity.
'How do I tell them that I fell in love with this fruit back when I was still alive in the other world?' She wondered what would be the best way to disclose her familiarity with this fruit but at the same not to gain any suspicions.
Yvonne had never had this fruit after she had arrived in this world but now would have to give a valid explanation for her knowledge of the same fruit.
"I tasted it when I visited my mother's family." She disclosed vague information which most certainly was a lie.
However, they never would be able to verify the authenticity of her words hence had chosen her Uncle's family to be the scapegoat for this matter.
Indeed, her inference was right as the girls nodded in acceptance of her answer and the Governess's suspicions subsided as well.
The old lady had heard from the Prince she used to serve about the middle-man who had helped them obtain this valuable fruit that wasn't grown in their kingdom.
That same person was also the one who had suggested these ice cream flavors made by his personal chef who was sent to the Palace where he prepared them from scratch just for this event.
However, Governess Bloom had also heard about the connection between this person and the members of the Valente family so she did not think too much about the child who seemed to know something that others were supposed to be ignorant of.
Yvonne sneered at her greedy heart that had almost gotten her in trouble but also blamed her willpower which most certainly wasn't as it once used to be.
'How much longer will I be a child?' She lamented at the time that passed so slowly before fixing her gaze on the bowls of ice cream.
Once Princess Felicia recalled the name of the last bowl, she explained about it, repeating what she had heard from her uncle.
Elna was ecstatic to hear that the Prince had arranged this dessert for them and disregarding her etiquettes, she displayed her eagerness to taste it first.
Yvonne rolled her eyes when she noticed this strange attitude of the other girl but shook her displeasure away when the Princess announced that they were free to choose which flavor they liked.
After receiving the command from their Master, the maids came forward to serve them.
"Mango, please." She requested when a maid came to her seat.
The other girls were more curious to taste the strawberry and chocolate flavors but Yvonne was the only one who had opted for this new yellow-colored ice cream that others were avoiding.
'More for me.' She shrugged when Aleena made a strange face as though she did not find the yellow creamy dessert to be appealing.
However, upon noticing her silent actions of relishing this unappetizing-looking treat, others were also curious about how it tasted.
Princess Felicia was the first to follow Yvonne by asking the maid to fetch her another bowl for the mango-flavored one.
Thus without even uttering a single word, the girls were influenced by the child who was enjoying this treat she had missed for so many years now.
In no time, they understood why she was so silent as she gobbled up the cold dessert, causing them to go for seconds after realizing that they had finished the entire bowl before they even knew it.
Yvonne frowned when she noticed the mango ice cream vanishing, scoop after scoop, but could only watch with sulking eyes from her seat.
'I should ask Marquess to find out where that man got it from.' She decided to put her tutor's access to the Palace to good use for this purpose.
He was her only contact who could move in and out of the Palace and even had a good relationship with the Princess.
If she were to employ his services then she would be able to enjoy this treat in the future as well.
Thus Yvonne no longer yearned to fill her belly with the mango ice cream and stopped her greedy tendencies after her second bowl.
___
The Princess's tea party came to an official end once the large bowls of ice creams had been emptied.
Yvonne only ate the mango as she felt that sooner or later, the other flavors would enter the market for sale.
Thus she did not eat excessively like one certain young lady who kept gobbling up her servings while praising the Prince who was thoughtful enough to prepare this special treat for them.
Princess Felicia felt strange when Elna would not stop praising her uncle but did not let it appear on her face.
Instead, she glanced around to make sure that everyone else was also having a good time.
Her aim of getting to know them had been successful by a large portion and she hoped that they would continue to come and visit her in the future as well.
When it was time for the girls to make their return to their respective homes, Princess Felicia was kind enough to pack the ice cream they had liked the most as a return present for attending her tea party.
This return gift was thoughtful as it showed that the Princess was observant about their likes and dislikes.
However, more than the gift, the packaging of the gift had fascinated them greatly.
Crystal bowls with exquisite carving were used as containers for the presents and each one had a similar design meant to act as a souvenir to remind them of the pleasant time they had at the Princess's tea party.
Yvonne held the delicate glass container in her hand and admired the intricate designs made on it.
Her discerning eyes could notice that they must have cost a fortune to prepare the same type of bowls for everyone.
However, considering the wealth that the Royal family had amassed over years, she knew that they would not blink an eye while spending this much if it was for the sake of the Princess.
Yvonne was right to think so as the King had not backed away from utilizing his money if it meant that his child would be happy.
The Princess smiled while bidding them goodbye, expressing her desire to meet them once again if fate allowed it.
'What fate? You can summon anyone you want like you did today.' Yvonne retorted in her mind but on the outside, held a simple smile when the Princess's eyes scanned them all.
Having completed her task here today, the little girl bowed before the Princess when they were allowed to leave.
Their carriages had been prepared beforehand and were currently waiting outside the Main Palace, the same place they had alighted this morning.
The sun was overhead by now so each maid accompanying the girls was holding an umbrella to help them avoid the scorching heat as they walked towards the Main Palace.
Yvonne was walking next to the same maid who had helped her this morning.
Holding the expensive piece of crystal in her hands, they walked on the same path they had used while heading to the Rose Palace.
Yvonne's eyes flitted to her right which was the path leading to the Sycamore Palace and she was glad that she did not encounter the future Crown Prince today.
What she did not know was that someone had helped her avoid this supposedly accidental encounter that the same Prince was hoping to achieve.
However, once again, she was kept in the dark about this matter and hence could only make her way to her carriage with the maid walking next to her.
