The day for Yvonne and her parents to head to the Valente fief had finally arrived.
Howard stood outside the mansion, waiting to send them off.
Since he would not be accompanying them on this trip, he decided that he might as well bid them goodbye before he could return to his studies.
The Earl and Countess had already spoken to him, mentioning that he should stay safe in the mansion until they returned.
Even Yvonne had a few words to say to her brother before they could begin this journey.
"Big Brother, my nanny will be here to take care of you." She revealed something that she had already discussed with Mrs. Jacinth.
The old maid would have a tough time during the long journey so Yvonne had asked her to stay behind.
Even though Mrs. Jacinth wished to accompany her Miss, she knew that her body's condition wasn't fit for another long journey.
Thus she agreed without insisting on following her to the Valente fief.
Roselie and Jax would be going with the Young Miss so Mrs. Jacinth could stay behind without much worry.
Therefore, when she heard from her Miss that she would have to look after the Young Master during their absence, she did not hesitate to accept this command.
Howard did not have a personal nanny like Yvonne did from a young age.
From the time he was born, it was Raylene and her personal maid, Paula, who had looked after him.
However, when Rutherford saw how stressful and tiring it was to look after a child without additional support, he had chosen a skilled nanny after the birth of his second child.
Thus Mrs. Jacinth, who was an old maid of the family, had become the caretaker and nanny of Yvonne while Howard had no one in this position.
In a way, one could consider Paula to be his nanny but she had been sent away from the mansion after the chaos she had caused the last time.
Therefore, Yvonne had chosen her maid to take care of her brother until they returned.
Only a few servants would be following them to the Valente fief this time so the rest would stay behind and look after the mansion in their absence.
Butler Limo too ensured his Master that he would keep the Young Master safe and asked them to have a good time in the Valente fief without worrying too much about him.
Only then did the three members of the St. Claire family bid goodbye to Howard who was standing with Mrs. Jacinth and Butler Limo on either side of him.
Demon, Yvonne's beloved etcher, would be following them to the Valentes and had already been strapped to the carriage like he had been the last few times.
Once everything was in order, the three carriages began their journey.
___
Yvonne had been able to complete her assignments after struggling for the last few days which allowed her to relax on the journey which lasted for a little less than a week.
The carriage was comfortable and the routes they traveled on had been reconstructed thanks to Yvonne's suggestions given to the King through her tutor.
This allowed their journey to be smoother than ever before and without much disturbance, the family of three reached the Valente fief.
The snow hawk flying above their carriage when they entered this territory revealed that the Viscount was already aware of their arrival.
A few hours later, the three carriages which had journeyed from the Capital came to a halt before the mansion of the Valente family.
When Yvonne got off the carriage, she smiled when she saw her grandfather waiting outside for them.
Rushing over to greet him, she chuckled when he ruffled her hair after patting her.
Raylene smiled at this sight as she was being hugged by her husband who helped her alight from the carriage.
'He looks older than before.' Yvonne noticed that he was being supported by his walking stick and the wrinkles on his face had deepened compared to the last time she had seen him.
Aunt Trisha and Uncle Marcus came forward next and hurried to invite them inside.
The atmosphere in the Parlor was filled with elation after the arrival of the relatives.
"Where are the boys?" Raylene inquired what was on Yvonne's mind as they had not seen Roman and Knox ever since they had arrived.
Trisha only gave them a mysterious smile before revealing that the boys were away at this moment.
The St. Claires had journeyed for long hours so the old man of the Valente family asked them to rest before they would be called for dinner.
Roselie accompanied Yvonne to her room and after helping her wash up and change, the little girl fell into a deep sleep.
Only before dinnertime did she wake up and despite grumbling that she wished to sleep some more, she was brought over to the dining hall.
"Vonny!" Two voices calling out her name succeeded in wiping away the drowsiness in her eyes.
Yvonne smiled when she saw her cousins who weren't around when she had arrived here.
The two older boys sat on either side of her and the children spoke among themselves, making the adults shake their heads when they discovered that they were being ignored.
However, Old man Valente smiled and his eyes reflected his happiness when he saw his grandchildren being close to each other.
"It would have been better if Little Howard could have come along." He muttered, sulking that his other grandson had not come to visit him.
"Grandpa, Big Brother has a lot to prepare before the academy reopens." Yvonne stood up for her brother when she heard this.
The old man could only nod as he would not like to hinder the young boy's education in any way.
"He should come to visit me next time." He negotiated with his only granddaughter who did not refuse him.
"Of course, Grandpa!" She chirped and nodded her head like a little woodpecker, making them chuckle once again.
Dinner came to an end soon and the family moved to the parlor where fresh fruits had been served as dessert.
Here, Rutherford revealed the reason why they had arrived here.
Grandpa Valente was surprised to hear that CLOVER was moving to the noble market but looking at his capable granddaughter, he was supportive of her plans.
The twins then mentioned that they had been at the Plantation earlier and had informed the Hagen family of their Boss's arrival tomorrow morning.
"Is that where you were when we arrived?" Raylene questioned and the boys smiled sheepishly before nodding in reply.
They had headed out to the Plantation, the place where CLOVER's factory was located to ensure that everything was ready before Yvonne's visit tomorrow morning.
Hearing this, the little girl smiled, and her desire to express her gratitude for their actions in her own way had increased once again.
During the days after the Valente family had left the Capital, Yvonne had been thinking a lot about this matter and now that she was with them, she needed to find an opportunity to place her thoughts before them.
'Tomorrow..' She finalized the date and smiled when her gaze met with the twins'.
