Chapter 603: Extra 016 The First Time Embracing to Sleep
“Alright.” Wan Quan agreed.
Right now, she was indeed driven to madness by poverty.
She no longer wanted to live those days when she couldn’t even afford a meal.
Mu Cidian said, “The company has pre-advanced my bonus. Let’s go look at a new place today.”
“Do you mean we can move?” Wan Quan was excited.
Finally, she could move out of this terrible place; she’d really had enough here.
“Yes, let’s find a better place.”
“Cidian, I knew raising you was the right choice. I always knew you would go far,” exclaimed an excited Wan Quan, “Wait for me. I’ll get dressed and we can go look for houses immediately.”
“Okay.”
Mu Cidian watched Wan Quan’s excited expression.
He thought, maybe he’ll stick with her for the rest of his life?
Wan Quan quickly changed clothes and went with Mu Cidian to look for a house in Jin City.
They chose a relatively good community. It couldn’t be compared to high-end properties, but it was dozens of times better than their previous place. The room also changed from one bedroom and living room to two bedrooms and two living rooms. At least, Mu Cidian would have a bedroom of his own.
After renting the place, Mu Cidian and Wan Quan bought many household items.
They spent the entire day.
They bought everything they had to buy, moved everything they had to move, and even quit their jobs. Their jobs were all informal ones with no contracts, so resigning was easy.
After handling everything, they moved in the same night.
“Are you leaving tomorrow?” Wan Quan was somewhat reluctant.”
“Yes.” Mu Cidian nodded.
“Ah, I did wish for you to enjoy a room like this for a few more days.”
“Actually, the room the company had prepared is also good.”
It is really good.
The place where Xin Zaozao lived was a lot better than their place.
It was probably the most luxurious apartment building in Jin City.
“Alright. Make sure to come back often and call me.”
“Right.”
Wan Quan and Mu Cidian talked a lot more before returning to their respective bedrooms.
Lying in bed, Mu Cidian suffered from insomnia.
The insomnia he used to have gradually improved due to work, but it seemed to be coming back.
When he can’t sleep, he thinks a lot. After all that thinking, he can sleep even less.
He turned over and forced himself to sleep.
The next morning.
He picked up his luggage bag and left.
He really didn’t have much, just a few sets of changes in clothes that he had just bought.
He always thought Xin Zaozao wouldn’t like his cheap clothes. Even though these clothes were not luxury, at least they didn’t seem so low quality.
He left without disturbing Wan Quan’s sleep.
He took a taxi to Xin Zaozao’s neighborhood.
He rang the doorbell.
Nobody answered the door.
Mu Cidian rang again.
Still nobody.
After thinking for a while, maybe Xin Zaozao had already left for work.
Though work hadn’t exactly started, it was very likely she’d leave early.
So he sat at Xin Zaozao’s door and waited for her.
From morning to night.
He waited until 10 in the evening.
In between, he did leave to get some food but then resumed waiting at the door.
When Xin Zaozao came out of the elevator and saw Mu Cidian standing at her door, she was clearly surprised for a second.
Mu Cidian was thinking.
She probably had forgotten about her suggestion that he should move in.
Maybe he should just leave now.
After a moment of surprise, Xin Zaozao still pressed her fingerprint to open the door.
Mu Cidian followed her in.
Xin Zaozao said, “Set your own fingerprint, and the password is four 8’s.”
Mu Cidian set up his fingerprint lock after dropping his luggage.
Xin Zaozao went home and took a swig of cold water.
Mu Cidian went in and saw her looking tired. He asked, “Which room should I stay in?”
Xin Zaozao’s eyes flickered. She said with some scorn, “Mu Cidian, I’m keeping you.”
Mu Cidian nodded.
He was afraid of misinterpretations.
He took his luggage to Xin Zaozao’s room.
Xin Zaozao took a glance at Mu Cidian’s figure and put down her water. She sat on the couch, giving him time to organize his things.
Mu Cidian didn’t have much stuff. He opened Xin Zaozao’s wardrobe, chose a corner for his few sets of clothes.
Then he went to the bathroom and filled the bath with water for Xin Zaozao.
He came out and said, “I’ve filled the bath with water for you, are you going to take a bath?”
Xin Zaozao glanced at Mu Cidian.
She got up and went into the bathroom.
Inside the bathroom…
Mu Cidian had already placed her pajamas including her underwear there.
She couldn’t accurately describe her feelings.
She never imagined that one day Mu Cidian would become so submissive in front of her.
She could still remember everything cruel Mu Cidian had done to her before.
A cold smirk formed at the corner of her mouth.
How true it is, that fortune changes like the shifting of the wind and water.
Both Xin Zaozao and Mu Cidian just finished taking a shower.
He had used the bathroom outside.
Now dressed in a set of blue home clothes, he still looked rather skinny. Yet for a moment, he reminded Xin Zaozao of the old Mu Cidian, a man who used to be always finely dressed.
In her memory, Mu Cidian had often worn blue when he forcefully involved her in intimate situations.
She said, “I don’t like your pajamas!”
Mu Cidian paused.
He glanced down at what he was wearing.
Xin Zaozao said, “Change them, I don’t like seeing you in blue.”
Mu Cidian fell silent.
Xin Zaozao’s facial expression altered slightly, “Didn’t you learn from your fellow performers how to please your patron?”
“It’s not that, I only have this set of clothes at the moment,” he said.
“Then be naked,” Xin Zaozao declared outright.
Mu Cidian pursed his lips.
The stalemate lasted for a few seconds.
Mu Cidian took off his pajamas.
Underneath, he was nothing but skin and bones, alarmingly thin.
Even more alarming were the numerous marks left by frenzied clutching and biting on his vulnerable frame.
Yes.
Those were all her doing.
Xin Zaozao averted her gaze, pulled up the covers, and crawled into bed.
Left in nothing but his briefs, Mu Cidian went to the bathroom to fetch the blow-dryer. Standing in front of Xin Zaozao, he said, “I’ll blow dry your hair.”
Xin Zaozao looked up at him.
She had just washed her hair and had only briefly dried it herself. It was still rather damp now.
Xin Zaozao nodded her assent.
Mu Cidian knelt on the bed and assisted her in drying her hair.
His touch was gentle.
Xin Zaozao was busy chatting on her phone.
Her conversation partner was Song Lifei, and it seemed they were discussing work matters.
Mu Cidian didn’t look their way. He focused on diligently drying her hair and only left the bed once he was sure her hair was completely dry. He then proceeded to put away the blow-dryer.
Xin Zaozao was still chatting with Song Lifei at this moment.
Mu Cidian silently lay down at the other end of the bed, sharing the blanket with Xin Zaozao, though maintaining a fair distance from her.
After finishing her work conversation and putting her phone down, Xin Zaozao saw that Mu Cidian had already fallen asleep at her side.
She switched off the light.
She turned her back to Mu Cidian.
Both lay on the same mattress, without uttering a single word.
Suddenly, Mu Cidian sneezed.
Xin Zaozao turned over.
Mu Cidian stirred as well.
“Are you cold?” Xin Zaozao suddenly asked.
“No.”
“I don’t want to catch a cold from you,” Xin Zaozao stated.
Mu Cidian appeared silent for a few moments, then suddenly moved again, drawing closer to Xin Zaozao.
Xin Zaozao furrowed her brows.
In the dim moonlight, they could see each other’s silhouettes clearly.
Xin Zaozao could feel Mu Cidian getting closer.
Drawing near, he suddenly reached out and embraced her.
Xin Zaozao pursed her lips.
Mu Cidian held her in his arms.
Recoiling slightly, Xin Zaozao prepared to push Mu Cidian away when she heard him say, “This way, you won’t catch a cold.”
“Go put some clothes on,” Xin Zaozao demanded outright.
“They said patrons would like this,” Mu Cidian asserted, his arms still around her.
“I don’t,” she said.
Mu Cidian appeared to chuckle.
He thought she would react that way.
He released Xin Zaozao and rose to dress casually.
“Leave it for tonight. Buy a few sets of clothes tomorrow. I’ll give you the money for this month,” she told him.
Mu Cidian thought he had heard incorrectly.
“Sleep now, I have work tomorrow. Don’t disturb my rest,” she said.
Without a word, Mu Cidian lay back down.
Then, silently, he pulled her back into his embrace.
Xin Zaozao didn’t reject him.
They lay together, pressed close to each other.
Even though Xin Zaozao was facing away from him.
But he could feel the warmth of her body.
Actually…
Since their first intimate encounter, they had shared a bed countless times, but they had never slept in each other’s arms before.
They never came this close.
After the deed, he would always leave.

Of course, the previous night didn’t count.
Last night…
They were wild, tumultuous.
After satisfying their frenzied desires, both of them fell into a complete, sound sleep.
Exhaustion had fully claimed them.
