Chapter 282. Finishing the shooting (5)

"Kill him!!"

"Don't let him live!"

"We will win! Let's die for Emperor Cao!"

Loud voices could be heard in the filming set which had now transformed into a battlefield. Swords and axes clashed against each other as thousands of warriors rushed to kill the opponent.

As the final scene was going to be the most impactful scene in the whole drama, it needed to be filmed step by step.

It was also because the scale of this scene was too big and it's job was to pump up the audience before making them cry in the end.

For record, there was also a lot of CGI work that would be done later.

"It's okay! Let's take a break and get ready for the next scene."

Director Chen Pu shouted as he looked at the scene in his monitor.

It was the scene where both the armies would clash against each other and it needed to be a scene which can make you blood heat.

Although, it looked lackl.u.s.ter currently, it would completely change after the CGI was applied. In historical and big scale dramas like «Slayers», CGI play a huge role.

«Slayers» was set in the warring states period and it also involves supernatural powers, so CGI would have an inevitable impact on the final product.

"The next scene is of Ren, right? Where's he?"

Director Chen Pu raised his head from the monitor and asked Assistant director Luo, who nodded his head in response and replied.

"He's currently discussing the scene with the Action director there."

He pointed to a corner where Ren was talking with the Action director. The three background actors that would appear in the scene with him were also there.

Director Chen Pu got up from his seat and moved towards Ren and the Action director. As he drew closer, he heard their conversation.

"You don't need to be scared in this scene. We can just redo it if it's bad. You are already doing all the action scenes well and this scene just needs you to brush your sword against the three soldiers that would attack you."

"I understand. I just hope I don't hurt them."

"Don't worry, the weapons are fake anyway. Moreover, these armours can at least take some impact."

The Action director and Ren were discussing the scene. The three background actors were also nodding their heads from time to time.

The scene would start with Cao Xu taking his first steps into the battlefield and three soldiers would try to attack him.

Cao Xu would then just take three steps and kill the three soldiers in an instant.

"Director!"

The Action director noticed Director Chen Pu from the corner of his eyes. Ren and three background actors also turned around to look at him.

"It looks like you are already discussing the scene."

"Yeah, we were talking about it to avoid any mistakes from the start. I don't think there would be any mistakes."

The Action director said and Director Chen Pu nodded his head.

"Ren, just do it like always and you three, don't mess up!"

Director Chen Pu said to Ren, then he turned his gaze to look at the three background actors who nervously nodded their head.

After that, he left to check the props and green screens.

'It's finally the time for the death of Cao Xu!'

Ren thought after Director Chen Pu has left. Only a week was left and the official filming would finally end.

He would come back for the shooting of the special episode, but it was also true that Cao Xu would die soon.

"What are you thinking about?"

As Ren was in thoughts, the Action director asked and he turned to him and replied.

"I'm just thinking about Cao Xu and his final scene."

"Oh!"

The Action director understood and nodded his head a few times, before opening his mouth again.

"It must be tough seeing your character die, but most villains are meant to die."

"Yeah, I hope there would be a movie someday where the villain would win, but the people want the hero to win always."

"You can't do anything about it. Maybe in the future, there would be a movie like that."

"Yeah..."

Ren just slowly nodded his head hearing that. A movie where the villain wins? It's possible in Hollywood, but in Asian industry, there was no one who have taken such a risk yet.

'It isn't bad!'

Lily thought as she listened to the sample she had just created. It was late night, but she was still working on making some rock songs.

Like Professor Che Shu had told her, she had analysed many songs and listened to Guan Zhou's songs on loop.

After a while, a rhythm had finally entered her mind and she had started working on it quickly and the final product was in front of him currently.

"The beat is fast, but it needs to drop a little somewhere. Should I add a noise here or just strings would work? How about percussions or someone classical... violin?"

Lily muttered as she tried adding many instruments. She made a copy of the sample and stored it in her pen drive. Then, she started adding instruments to the sample.

Rock music was not just loud music.

It's not soft to the ears mostly, but rather than loud, it was strong music. The type of music that can pump energy into you.

That's why, Lily tried heavier instruments first, but then, she shifted to bass and violin.

Music was just trying out different instruments or sounds with each other, but she needed to adjust the sounds and frequencies of each instrument to better suit it.

A small mistake can easily ruin the song.

"Ahhh, it's still not right!"

Lily frowned in frustratuon as she listened to the music playing out. It was not bad, but it was rather obnoxious to the ears.

She needed to make it a little soft.

That's why, she added some piano in the background and made the volume low like a whisper.

After working for two hours, she finally nodded her head.

"It isn't bad... finally!!"

A satisfied smile appeared on her face, but it was not the end. She had just started working on one song and three more songs are left to make.

With the rock ballad, the total songs were 5.

'I can do it for the future!'

Lily thought and lowered head to look at her laptop.
