\" How dare you dodge?! \" the woman fumed as her palm met air. She had put a lot of energy in her swing and almost stumbled when she failed to hit her target.

Zhi Ruo sighed and inwardly rolled her eyes.

\" She doesn't have anything to do with our breakup and I didn't cheat on you, your personality is just too overbearing and I can't handle it anymore. \" the man stood up and sighed.

\" Overbearing? Me?! \" the woman caterwauled, looking in disbelief.

\" Yes! Like just now, you wanted to slap someone you never knew! We're done! \" the man angrily argued.

The man turned to Zhi Ruo and apologized, \" I am so sorry for her behaviour, hope you don't hold it to your heart. If you give me your number, I will properly compensate you. \"

\" No harm was done, you don't need to compensate me. A simple sorry from the lady would be enough. \" Zhi Ruo elegantly said.

She didn't like to be involved in trouble but the lady was clearly in the wrong, how can she just accept it like that?

\" I did nothing wrong! You were in the way! I won't apologize! \" the woman furiously refuted.

\" Jessica! You did something wrong, you should apologize! \" the man frowned unhappily.

\" No! Never! Who is she anyway? Does she know who I am? Does she even deserve my apology?! \" Jessica raged.

Zhi Ruo stood there a bit stunned.

' God... if you are still here... can you please tell me who the hell is this arrogant lady spouting nonsense like an idiot?! Do people like her even exist in the real world?! What kind of exaggerated rotten girl is she even? '

Zhi Ruo sighed, not knowing whether to laugh or to cry at her stupidity.

\" Miss Jessica? \" Zhi Ruo gently called out, her cold and melodious voice seemingly appeasing the ball of rage Jessica was.

\" What?! \" Jessica calmed down a bit and looked at Zhi Ruo.

Now that she looked closely without fury blinding her, she realized that Zhi Ruo was very pretty, delicate features, perfect figure and pleasant voice but this only heightened her dislike towards her.

\" Did you grow up in the streets, in a trash can, isolated from society? \" Zhi Ruo calmly asked, her cold eyes staring at the curvy lady.

\" WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?! Did you just ask, me, Jessica Brooks, if I was raised on the streets, in a trach can?! \" Jessica became livid and angrily slapped the table.

\" So? Your identity shouldn't matter in this situation. Did your parents never teach you manners? Were you always this impolite? I think it's time for you to see the light of day and step out of your trash can. Try to integrate society and learn some proper manner before you come out or else you'll look like an enraged monkey. Hearing the barricade of insults hurled at her, Jessica didn't know how to properly react to this disgrace and started hyperventilating, \" What did you just say?! \"

Zhi Ruo sat down at her table and despite all the stares directed to her, she calmly went through the menu.

Jessica was too shocked and seeing all the fingers point at her and laughs, she embarrassingly stormed off while the man went to apologize to the restaurant owner and the clients. He declared that he was paying for everyone's breakfast before also rushing off.

Suddenly, a shadow loomed in front of Zhi Ruo and she lifted her head to look at the person standing in front of her.

\" Hiii, little lady! \" a woman with black hair sat down in front of her.

\" Mind if I sit? Seems like you are lonely. \" the woman casually asked, her pretty face exposing a smile.

\" You are already sitting, what's the point of asking? \" Zhi Ruo lifted her brow.

\" You are right! I just wanted to come to praise you, you were so amazing out there, that stupid Jessica stormed off dumbfounded. Being able to shut up a dumb person is really incredible! \" the lady giggled as she thought back to the scene.

\" I wasn't insulting her, I was making a statement. \" Zhi Ruo answered, putting down her menu to focus on the girl.

Actually, Zhi Ruo was pretty proud of her comeback but she had to keep up with her cold image in front of strangers.

\" Even better! \" she brightly gave her a thumbs up.

\" Either way...except praising you, I also came here to warn you. \" the girl's innocent face instantly changed into a cunning one.

Zhi Ruo didn't answer and let the girl continue.

\" Even though she looks like this and sounds like this, she is still the daughter of a very influential family in America and I am pretty sure her dad is involved with the mafia. You might want to look out and prepare a few bodyguards... \" the girl's eyes turned serious.
