Chapter 8

Yang Chen woke up feeling refreshed, got up from the bed, and headed to the bathroom to take a quick shower.

When he was done, he got changed and headed downstairs where Ruoxi was eating breakfast and Wang Ma was in the kitchen cooking.

"Young master would you like some breakfast?" Wang Ma happily asked Yang Chen as she just came out of the kitchen.

"Sure." Yang Chen replied with a small smile.

As Yang Chen got seated he noticed Ruoxi taking glances at him, so he asked.

"What is it?"

"Nothing." Ruoxi replied coldly as ever while in her mind there were different thoughts. 'I can't seem to wrap my head around why would he get me glutinous rice balls that night. Does he know I love them or did Wang Ma tell him, and I also just realized that I've never seen him smile that wasn't faked, but I do got to admit, he would look more handsome if he just smiled more...wait, Ruoxi what are you thinking!'

Ruoxi started blushing as she was thinking this while Wang Ma who came back from the kitchen, served Yang Chen breakfast.

Wang Ma then noticed Ruoxi blushing and asked worriedly. "Young miss, are you okay? You look a little red. Are you coming down with something?"

Ruoxi who calmed down but still had a tiny blush replied "No I'm okay, by the way Wang Ma I have to get to work or I'll be late but thanks for the meal.

Ruoxi then got up from the table, headed to her car, and left for work.

Yang Chen who was the cause of Ruoxi's crazy thoughts was just focusing on his meal completely not paying attention to what just happened.

When he was done eating, he thanked Wang Ma for the meal and helped her with the dishes before heading back to his room.

When Yang Chen was in his room he went to his computer and typed a random web address and hit 'enter'.

After a few moments a strong middle-aged man with brown hair and a tattoo on his face appeared on the screen. This man was called Sauron.

"Sauron, reporting for duty!" Sauron said with the utmost respect in a British accent while saluting.

"Sauron, I need people to come to Zhong Hai to work at my newly created company I just started." Yang Chen said to Sauron, getting right into business.

"It will be done, but it will take some time since we're going to need permission from China, but the men will be happy to help since we been out of the field game for some time." Sauron said respectfully.

"Thanks, by the way how have you guy's been?" Yang Chen asked Sauron.

After a couple of more minutes of catching up they said goodbye to each other and Yang Chen turned off his computer.

Yang Chen then got dressed in a black suit, went to get in his car and headed to his company.

Ruoxi just got to work and arrived at her office. She was going to start doing some paperwork when her assistant Wu Yue knocked on her office.

"You may come in." Stated Ruoxi. When Wu Yue entered, she had a panic face.

"Boss Lin, we have a problem!" Wu Yue said panicking.

" Calm down first, then speak." Ordered Ruoxi.

Wu Yue calmed down a bit but still was little panicked.

"Boss Lin, Xu Zhihong was murdered!" Wu Yue said with a slightly pale face.

"What?!" Ruoxi was surprised for a moment before she frowned.

"Boss Lin, does this mean we have to cancel the fashion show and reschedule." Asked Wu Yue as she had calmed down already.

Ruoxi was thinking about what to do when she replied "No, we can not hold back the event since were close. Let's find another company that we can partner with."

"But boss Lin, it may be a little difficult." Said Wu Yue

"We must try, we can not cancel after so many preparations already. Go inform the rest of the Department heads of our plan." Ruoxi ordered Wu Yue.

"Understood." Wu Yue replied then left Ruoxi's office.

"Sigh...." Ruoxi sighed, then frowned and thought. 'I'm going to have to change my plans now that Xu Zhihong is dead.'

Just when she was thinking about her future plans, another knock came from her door.

"You may come in." Replied Ruoxi.

The one who entered this time was Mo Qianni.

When Mo Qianni entered she asked "Boss Lin, I just saw Wu Yue right now, why did she have a panicked face?"

"Xu Zhihong is dead." Replied Ruoxi with a blank face.

"What!?" Mo Qianni was shocked then asked "Are we going to have to cancel the Fashion show?"

"No we will try to find a new partner for this event. By the way, what did you want to talk about?" Answered Ruoxi as she was back to her usual cold demeanor.

"Well... it's about yesterday. How do you know that guy, if you don't mind me asking since you usually don't have any male friends." Mo Qianni asked her best friend with concern.

"It's a.... long story, but I promise I'll explain in the future." Ruoxi replied to Mo Qianni with a slight smile over her best friend's concern.

After some more idle chat, Mo Qianni left and headed back to her office to do her work, while Ruoxi went back to do her's.

(With Yang Chen)

When Yang Chen made it to his company the first thing he saw was a white twenty-story building with clear windows.

(AN: Just search up Beirut terraces building on google, it looks like that.)

When Yang Chen was done surveying the building, he got a call from a number that he did not recognize so he answered and said.

"Who is this?"

"We haven't seen each other for a couple of day's and you already forgot me." Said a woman with a fake upset voice.

Yang Chen recognized this voice from his memories. This voice belonged to none other than Situ Rose.

Rose hearing Yang Chen not replying decided to drop the act and get to the reason why she called.

"Can you come to my bar, it's kind of important." Rose asked Yang Chen seriously.

"Sure, I'll be there in a bit." Replied Yang Chen in a simple tone.

"Okay, see you in a bit." Rose said happily as she hasn't seen Yang Chen in a couple of days before ending the call.

Yang Chen then left his building and got in his car and drove to Rose's bar.

After a couple of minutes, he arrived at Rose's bar. When he entered, he spotted Rose sitting in a bar stool easily since the bar was empty because it was still day outside.

Rose had black hair with some purple strands on her shoulder, with a beautiful figure while wearing a modern red Qipao which showed one of her juicy t.h.i.g.hs. If anybody could see this, they could tell she dressed up just to impress someone special.

Yang Chen then walked to the bar and sat next to Rose and plainly asked "So what's up?"

"I was just very lonely without you." Rose said seductively to Yang Chen while getting closer and exposing her beautifully legs to Yang Chen.

Yang Chen noticed what she was trying to do but ignored it and said "That can't be all since you sounded serious over the phone."

Rose then noticed something weird about how Yang Chen was acting and said "Are you okay? Your acting differently than your usual self."

Yang Chen then thought 'Of course I'm acting differently since I'm not the person you have feelings for since I took over his body. But I can't tell you that because you're going to think I'm crazy.' before replying. "No I'm fine, so what did you want to talk about?"

Rose decided to drop this conversation for now, before asking "Well a couple of days ago, you beat up Chen Feng right?

Yang Chen just nodded and Rose took it as a sign to continue.

"Well Chen Feng's father, 'Chen Dehai' has been looking for you ever since you bedridden his son. His men even started harassing one of your friends, asking for your whereabouts."

When Yang Chen heard this he instantly thought of Li JingJing 'This is my fault for not getting rid of the roots of the problem much earlier.' before replying. "Alright I'll go take care of these guys then."

"It'll take some time to get his location since his place got raided by the police but unfortunately he escaped." Rose said bitterly as her 'father's' right-hand man didn't get locked up.

"It's alright, I'll find his location." Said Yang Chen making Rose confused and asking "How?"

Yang Chen just smiled a bit and said "Secret."

Yang Chen then got up from his seat and said "Well I guess I have to go, since I'm going to take care of this guy."

"Alright then, be sure to visit me soon." Rose said disappointed and a bit sad, since he had to leave early and didn't even compliment her on how she dressed up specifically for him.

Yang Chen then walked to the door but suddenly turned to Rose and said. "By the way, you look very beautiful today."

Rose who heard this was very happy and gave a beaming smile that would make anyone captivated while saying.

"Thank you."

Yang Chen was in a daze for a couple of seconds, making Rose even happier before leaving Rose's bar.

Yang Chen decided he would first check up on Li JingJing and her family before getting rid of Chen Dehai.

(AN: I don't know how I feel about this chapter. If you guys don't like it, I'll change it up a bit. Btw MC will never tell anyone he is not Yang Chen and he won't be dense.)
