43 Duel part 2

In the web novel, the original Li Jing was only in the third level of the Qi Gathering realm and, since at this point in the story Teng Fen still had not sold the Qi Condensing Pills through his clan, Zhao Yimou was also only in the third level. Therefore, the heirs of the four Great Clans were all around the same level and had to fight one against the other. Teng Fen easily won against the other three heirs enraging the Hong clan and the Zhao clan at the same time.

However, now, Li Jing's presence in this world had changed some things. First, he was in the fifth level of the Qi Gathering realm and not in the third level. And second, he sold the Qi Condensing Pills earlier than expected. The Zhao clan bought a lot of these pills and thanks to that, Zhao Yimou has been able to breakthrough the fourth level of the Qi Gathering realm the night before the banquet…

Li Jing, Teng Fen, Hong Mei, and Zhao Yimou walked towards the front of the Royal Garden and bowed to each other.

"Brother Fen, Brother Jing, it's the first time we meet. Let's do our best." Said Zhao Yimou, smiling.

Li Jing really didn't like this two-faced guy so he just nodded and didn't return his greeting. Teng Fen did the same.

Then, they all prepared for the fight.

Hong Mei and Zhao Yimou's plan was simple. They will first target Teng Fen since he was the weakest then they will take care of Li Jing.

"Do you have a plan?" Asked Teng Fen to Li Jing.

Teng Fen could easily take care of these two but he wanted to see what Li Jing was capable of. If he was really someone from the Immortal World, he would either show his great fighting skills or try his best to hide them.

"Well, we can take care of Hong Mei first then focus on Zhao Yimou or we can fight them separately." He said.

"You can fight Hong Mei. I take care of Zhao Yimou." Said Teng Fen.

"Are you sure that you can take care of him alone?" He asked. He was not supposed to know that it was the case.

"Of course, I am." Answered Teng Fen, smirking.

"The fight can begin!" Announced Shao Qun.

Immediately after the announcement, Hong Mei and Zhao Yimou rushed towards Teng Fen. However, Teng Fen didn't move and let his opponents coming towards him.

Li Jing intercepted Hong Mei by punching her but she blocked his fist. Of course, Li Jing would not use his full strength or he would kill her in one punch.

Hong Mei focused her attention on Li Jing and tried to kick him but he dodged the attack and kicked her back in the gut. She was thrown a yard back and winced in pain.

"You!" She expected that Li Jing would go easy on her because of her great beauty, but it seemed that she was wrong.

She clenched her fists in anger and charged him. She kicked and punched him several times but Li Jing dodged or blocked all her attacks. Hong Mei was clearly not a skilled fighter…

On the other side, Teng Fen easily dodged all of his opponent's attacks with only the minimum of movement. Each time Zhao Yimou was sure that he would hit Teng Fen, he would miss him by a hair! He didn't understand, Teng Fen was supposed to be two levels lower than him, how could he be faster than him?

While Teng Fen was dodging Zhao Yimou's attacks, he also carefully observed Li Jing. He noticed that his movements were predictable and full of opening, he could see that it was not faked and that he was not an experienced fighter. All the spectators were dumbfounded by Teng Fen's performance. They all thought that he was just a trash with an E-grade talent that didn't deserve to be heir to a Great Clan but he easily beat an opponent two levels higher than him, and not any opponents but the heir of the powerful Zhao clan!

"I didn't expect the heir of the Teng clan to be so skilled!" Exclaimed someone.

"Sure he is skilled but how did he beat someone two levels higher than him so easily?" Asked someone else.

Zhao Yimou and Hong Mei got up from the ground and felt deeply humiliated. Not only them but their parents too felt humiliated. They were supposed to be the first and second strongest Great Clan but their son and daughter were effortlessly beaten by Teng Fen and Li Jing.

"Brother Fen, I didn't expect you to cheat." Suddenly said Zhao Yimou, smiling.

"What do you mean?" Asked Teng Fen, frowning.

"You used a treasure to beat me." Said Zhao Yimou, still smiling.

Zhao Yimou had a very good reputation in the city while Teng Fen was known as a troublemaker and arrogant person so no one doubted Zhao Yimou's words.

"So, he used a treasure. That explains a lot." Said one of the young.

"If Teng Fen cheated, he should be disqualified!" Said another one.

"Zhao Yimou, how dare you accuse my son?" Exclaimed Teng Fen's father, Teng Wei.

"Brother Wei, we should let the young generation solve their problem between them." Said Zhao Yimou's father, Zhao Jian.

Teng Wei gritted his teeth… Of course, this situation was advantageous for the Zhao clan's reputation…

Teng Fen crossed his arms and looked at Zhao Yimou with disdain.

"I don't need a treasure to beat someone as weak as you." He said.

"Teng Fen, it's obvious that you used a treasure or you couldn't have beaten Brother Yimou. Admit it now!" Exclaimed Hong Mei.

Li Jing didn't plan to interfere at first but he couldn't stand this ridiculous situation anymore…
