Meanwhile, Kain’s Second Soul transformed into a middle-aged man and escorted Ariana Bellet toward Mathyr city. They rented a hotel room and stayed together while waiting for the next ship to set sail toward the Sungaria Kingdom where the Blood Mages Guild’s headquarter was secretly built underground. During their time of staying together, Kain explained to Ariana what she needed to know about the Guild and all the rules she had to follow. The ship only leaves the port in Mathyr city once a month. Kain’s Second Soul bought two ship tickets for him and Ariana then they waited eighteen days for the next ship to set sail. On the other hand, Kain and Arthur arrived at Mathyr city using the vessel of the Mages’ Council. Therefore, they could leave this country at any time they wanted to.
Thirty-six days later, Kain’s Second Soul successfully escorted Ariana back to the Blood Mages Guild without any incident. After handing Ariana to another Blood Mage, Kain headed to Master Andrella Whistler’s room.
“Knock.” Kain knocked once on the door of Andrella’s room.
“Who is it?” Andrella asked.
“Master Whistler, it is me, Kain Bersk.”
“Kain?” Andrella opened the door and appeared in front of her was a grown-up adult man, Kain Bersk. Andrella hugged Kain and said, “Oh Kain, I have missed you very much. You have growth.”
“Thank you, Master Whistler. I brought a Twin Soul girl back to the Guild. She was the girl that got rescued by Menas in Ganarion city.”
“Master Whistler, Guild Master asked for you to meet him at the hall for an emergency meeting.” A voice came out from behind Kain. Andrella looked over and acknowledged the male Blood Mage. She nodded and said, “Understood.”
Andrella turned toward Kain and said, “Follow me to the meeting. I wanted to introduce you to the other Masters.”
“Yes, Master Whistler.”
Kain and Andrella walked together toward the meeting hall. As a pupil, Kain was not granted a chair to sit down. He had to stand behind Andrella while they were waiting for the Guild Master to arrive. Andrella introduced Kain to the other Masters. All of them were glad to meet Kain, except for one Master, Mival Ballard. Mival was still mad at Kain for ‘stealing’ the chance of his pupil, Githa Bersk (true identity is Azura Kreel), to gain the power of the Tykan Eye. Kain had no idea why Master Ballard was giving him attitude, he put on his [I don’t give a f**k] mode and nonchalant about it. Thirty minutes later, Etgar Revenmar, the strongest Blood Mage alive, Guild Master of the Blood Mages Guild, entered the meeting hall.
Etgar put his right hand up in the air to prevent any of the Masters to formally greet him and said, “Masters, please sit.”
All Masters immediately kept their mouth shut and sat down on the chairs assigned to them. Etgar looked around and his eyes locked onto Kain. Etgar asked, “Kain, why are you here? Aren’t you supposed to be at the Nalas Kingdom to get revenge for your savior?”
“Guild Master, I have avenged for Menas.” Kain summarized what happened about how he massacred the Seventh Battalion and forced Admon Pashar to committed suicide to Etgar and Masters who attended the meeting to listen.
“So Kain, are you telling me that you won’t kill his wife and son?” Master Ballard opened his polluted mouth to ask Kain this question.
“Yeah.” Kain already has his [I don’t give a f**k] mode on so he doesn’t need to show any respect toward Master Ballard.
“The Guild gave you a chance for revenge, and you wasted it like that? If I was Menas Danamark, I would be rolling in my grave right now. If any of my pupils acted softly like you, I will be very ashamed of myself for raising such a worthless disciple.”
“Master Ballard, don’t you dare compare yourself to Menas Danamark!” Kain raised his voice.
“What? Are you going to attack me? Didn’t you forget that I am a level 50 Legend-tier Blood Mage? I could crush you like a little ant that you are.” Kain doesn’t know what Mival Ballard chose of Elemental Magic, but just his Blood Magic alone would be strong enough to kill Kain in under a minute.
“Enough!” Etgar said. “Kain, explain to me about the Second Soul thing. How does it work?”
Kain opened his eyes widely when Etgar asked him this question. Why didn’t Etgar know about it? Etgar sensed Kain’s confusion and said, “Kain, I lied to you about how we have successfully duplicated some Twin Souls. You are the only one that succeeds. I didn’t know anything about the Second Soul until today. Please explain it in detail.”
Kain explained to Etgar what the Second Soul is and how it can be used. Except for Master Ballard, all other Masters were so happy for Kain to gain such a unique awesome ability. Now Kain can work for the Guild while continuing undercover in his fake identity of Kain Almos at the same time. More importantly, his training speed has increased tremendously. Etgar was very happy with the successful result of using the Tykan Eye. He expected Kain to be able to pick another Elemental Magic to train in but he didn’t know Kain could have created another version of himself.
“Kain, pick a chair and sit down. We will start the meeting.” Etgar granted Kain a chair meaning he acknowledged Kain to be equal with the Masters.
“Thank you, Guild Master.” Kain picked up a chair and placed it behind Andrella to sit down.
“Master Weaver will fill you in on the reason why I have called for another meeting today.” Etgar said while pointing his right index finger at Robert Weaver, the level 50 master caster of Blood and Ice Magic.
Robert stood up, looked at everyone in the meeting hall, and said, “Our scouts have reported Vonda Hardy will be leaving Bifjorkian Theocracy to go to the Kingdom of Winharfia for a meeting with the King. We don’t know what the reason for the meeting is but it is not important.”
The Kingdom of Winharfia is another huge country bordered between Bifjorkian Theocracy and the Kingdom of Ronia. Tarlakalian Theocracy existed because of the Kingdom of Winharfia. Without support from the Kingdom of Winharfia, Bifjorkian Theocracy would have destroyed Tarlakalian Theocracy before it could even have a chance to be declared itself as an independent nation.
After several seconds of silence, Robert continued, “The Mages Council won’t be involved in another nation’s affair on a military level. However, we all know Bifjorkian Theocracy can not defeat Tarlakalian Theocracy if the Kingdom of Winharfia continues to support it. Perhaps the Mages Council sent Vonda Hardy to speak with the King of the Kingdom of Winharfia in an attempt to ask him to stop supporting Tarlakalian Theocracy. It is extremely rare for a leader of the Colors willing to leave Bifjorkian Theocracy. We must use this chance to help Guild Master revenge for his savior.”
