Book 2: Chapter 12 (7/12)

Flint Duril had always been a quiet person. Ever since he failed to protect Great General Nambra Furivel, Flint became even quieter. Despite being a God-tier Warrior now, Flint felt like he still wasn't strong enough and had been training very hard to improve himself. Watcher Zorim promised Flint that if he wins this battle, she will revive Nambra Furivel and make her the next God-tier Warrior so they can reunite in the higher realms. Flint thought to himself, “Nambra, I won’t fail this time. I will win this battle. Soon, we will be together again.”

Different compared to demons, angels, Devils, and Archangels. Flint will truly die if he dies in this battle with Kain instead of being teleported back to the higher realms. The moment Flint accepted the quest of defeating Kain Bersk, he agreed to put his life in danger for a chance of reviving Nambra. “It doesn’t matter how powerful he is, I won’t lose this battle. I will never lose you again, Nambra!” Flint thought to himself while continuing to shoot magic crossbow bolts at an insane speed using the crossbow on his right-hand.

Kain, Crocell, Eligos, Dialen, Focalor, and Kimaris attacked Flint using all of their power. Despite fighting alone, Flint calmly used the sword on his left hand to parry all of their attacks while using the crossbow on his right-hand to repeatedly shoot out magic crossbow bolts into the sea of demon armies that were coming closer to him. After more than twenty minutes of attacking nonstop, Kain found a good opportunity, activated [Sun Flash] ability, attempted to blind Flint then strike him using his Ice Spear. Flint didn’t even close his eyes while using the left Dragon Wing to block Kain’s spear strike and used the right Dragon Wing to block Crocell’s greatsword attack at the same time. Flint then released a powerful energy aura that created a loud explosion and blew Kain, Crocell, Eligos, Dialen, Focalor, and Kimaris a hundred feet away from him.

Flint knew fighting on the ground would be at his disadvantage, he started flying upward using his pair of Dragon Wings as Kain and other Demon Lords also flew after him. Forty percent of the demon armies have wings, they also flew up to attack Flint forcing him to continue shooting magic bolts toward them. Flint activated the [Awakened] technique to allow him to start using God Warrior's skills and abilities. He then activated [Mass Acceleration] skill to increase his speed to ten times faster, [Living Bulwark] to improve his defense to ten times tougher, and [Aura of Cleansing] skill to actively remove all negative effects that could be caused by magic spells.

Flint raised his right hand and started shooting magic bolts using an insanely fast speed into the sky while the sword on his left hand still parried all of Kain and other Demon Lords’ attacks. A minute later, more than ten thousand magic bolts flew down from the sky killing over three thousand demons that were flying upward. Flint holstered the crossbow on his back then started holding the sword using both hands to attack the Kain and the Demon Lords.

Kain shouted, “His stamina needed time to regenerate before he can use the Magic Crossbow again. We must be using this opportunity to kill him before he regains enough stamina!”

Still hasn’t said a word, Flint calmly defended himself using just his short sword. From time to time, an attack from here and there landed on him but caused very little to no injury. Despite having overwhelming power, Kain couldn’t kill Flint in one or two attacks as he could have done if fighting with any Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior. However, compared this God Warrior to Evienne Lucifuge, Kain believed he had much more chance to win since Flint was alone while he had all thirteen Demon Lords and their demon armies to help out.

Without using the Magic Crossbow, Flint not only has to parry the attacks from Kain and the Demon Lords but their demon armies as well. Approximately two hours later, Kain thought he had Flint cornered as he saw how Flint was badly wounded. Kain said, “You are heavily injured, how long can you endure fighting against me? Look around and see for yourself. You are being surrounded by so many powerful conjured creatures, a sea of demon armies, and the thirteen infamous Demon Lords. How can you possibly win against me? Be good and stay still so I can grant you a painless death.”

Flint continued to be quiet and said nothing as he activated [Instant Recovery] ability to heal himself from all injuries while regenerating his stamina pool in full. Kain opened his eyes widely in surprise thinking about how that could be possible. Flint took out his Magic Crossbow again and started shooting very fast, forcing Kain and other Demon Lords to defend while killing thousands and thousands of demons that were surrounding him.

Kain thought, “There must be some kind of limit from using that ability. Shit, I only have five blood pools left. The good thing is my mana pool is fully charged again. This can last me for another thirty minutes before I have to switch back to the blood pools. I needed to find a way to finish this guy faster.”

Kain turned around and saw Tuchulcha and Phenex had conjured too many powerful creatures already. He shouted, "Tuchulcha, Phenex, only keep a few creatures to defend you and command all other conjured creatures to attack him now!"

Kain touched the knife on his hip and commanded, “Iviss, show yourself.” Iviss transformed from being a knife on his hip into her human form. Belial immediately casted [Wind Walk] spell on Iviss to help her fly. Kain threw his Ice Spear toward Flint but he could easily dodge it. Kain's ice shield then vanished as he created a fiery giant battle-ax and commanded, “Tuchulcha and Phenex had enough conjured creatures to defend them. Amdusias also has a Sixteen Wings Angel Warrior to protect her. Chemosh, Sizouze, Sarsio, and Belial, it’s time for you to join the battle as well!”

Chemosh immediately casted [Demiplane] hoping to be able to trap a God-tier Demigod but only a useless First Stage Saint Warrior Demigod was trapped. Even so, Chemosh casted [Stone Skin] spell on that Demigod then sent her to attack Flint. Not even twenty seconds later, that Demigod was killed after being hit by a hundred magic bolts at the same time. Chemosh casted another [Demiplane] spell and this time a level 64 Saint Ice Mage Demigod was trapped. That Ice Mage Demigod lasted for forty seconds against Flint Duril as he and his Ice Guardian were killed at the same time by Flint’s magic crossbow bolts.

Swung his giant fiery battle-ax more than fifty times but all were easily parried by Flint, Kain thought to himself, "If I use [Carnage Inferno] spell, it will put more damages on me than this God-tier Warrior. His [Instant Recover] ability can save his life while I can't use the Second Soul to help me heal myself. Amdusias healing spells alone won't be sufficient enough."
