Krugas was also disappointed that Argvel didn’t manage to kill Kain. But after hearing Kain confidently saying that, Krugas said, “If all of us attack you, then other families will say the Lucifuge Family have to team up to defeat a mere human. Here is my condition. You fight with my eldest son. If you can kill him, I will only banish Evienne but allow her to leave here alive.”

Kain didn’t understand what Krugas meant by banishing Evienne, but it must be better than them killing her. Kain asked, “What about Watcher Tykan? If I kill a Devil, wouldn’t he be angry and punish me for that? I am using my astral form, not the physical body. Killing creatures in another realm will bring consequences on me.”

“This is a voluntary duel to the death. Watcher Tykan won’t punish you. You have my promise on that.”

“Very well, I accepted.”

Krugas shouted, “Kaharzon!”

A Devil wearing full armor but carrying a magical staff using his left hand flew toward Krugas and said, “Father, I am here.”

Krugas turned toward Kain and started the introduction, “This is my eldest son, Kaharzon Lucifuge. Like you, he is a Devil Battlemage.”

Kain said, “I will kill him. Make sure you have a Light Mage nearby to cast [Resurrection] spell.”

Kaharzon angrily screamed, “I don’t need Light Mage to revive me because you are the one that is going to be killed!”

Kain smiled in a friendly way and said, “Boy, you have no idea who you are talking to. If you want to die for real, then who am I to challenge that.”

Kain destroyed his giant fiery battle-ax and created two icy long swords. Kain then flew toward Kaharzon to attack him while putting his guard up just in case other Devils decide to ambush. Kaharzon also created two icy long swords and flew toward Kain to parry his attacks. Their swords collided, created a powerful aura released from both of them that pushed back other Devils who were standing still. Kain’s speed, strength, and endurance weren’t any weaker compared to Kaharzon. Both of them repeatedly slash, strike, and swing their swords at each other using full force without holding back.

After more than thirty minutes of fighting using pure physical strength, Kain thought, “Comparing to Evienne, his endurance didn’t show any sign of lesser.”

Kain then destroyed his icy long swords and created a lightning spear. Kaharzon saw Kain created a lightning spear and also did the same thing. He wanted to defeat Kain using the same weapon that Kain used to prove that he was stronger.

Another thirty minutes passed, Kain thought, “His speed is slower compared to Evienne. This is why he is a Devil Battlemage because his combat abilities aren’t comparable to a real Devil Warrior. Let's test his strength next.”

Kain threw away his lightning spear as it slowly faded away after he created a giant fiery battle-ax again. Kaharzon copied Kain and also created a giant fiery battle-ax. Kaharzon then quickly realized the mistake that he made. Every time Kain swung his battle-ax, Kaharzon could feel the difference in their strength. Even though it wasn’t that big, it was still noticeable.

Kain quickly realized that if he fought with another Devil Warrior one versus one, his physical strength, speed, and endurance would still be stronger because Kain gained small access to Watcher Tykan’s true power after surrendering both of his souls to him. Similarly, Kain’s magical power was greatly empowered after transforming into his Devil Form as well which made his Devil Magic stronger compared to other Devil Mages. Nevertheless, Kain still can only use Devil Magic during his transformation and his [Devil Anatomy] spell can only be activated once a day. Like the human warriors and the human magic casters, not all Devil Warriors and Devil Mages are equally strong. Kain may be stronger than the weak Devils at this time but facing stronger Devils would be a bigger problem.

Kain saw how Kaharzon struggled to defend against his almighty physical strength. Kain laughed and taunted, “If this kept going, you will lose. Aren’t you a battlemage? Come on, cast some magic spells.”

Kaharzon knew his physical strength is weaker compared to Kain and intent on casting some magic spells. But when he heard Kain taunted, Kaharzon angrily said, “I won’t lose to you. I will kill you using my physical strength.”

Krugas yelled, “Son, do not let him get into your head. You are a battlemage, use magic spells!”

Being yelled at by Krugas, Kaharzon shook off the thought of continuously fighting Kain using physical strength. He took out his magical staff, casted [Carnage Inferno] spell then swung his staff at Kain using minimal force. Kain smiled, also casted [Carnage Inferno] spell, and swung his battle-ax at him using just minimal force. This process repeated five times and finally, the result ended as Kaharzon’s entire body was burned into nothingness while Kain’s body was still covered in blue flame. A minute after Kaharzon was killed, Kain was still alive which surprised Krugas, Argvel, and other Devils who were watching their duel.

After the [Carnage Inferno] spell casted on Kain expired and faded away, Kain checked and felt that he lost one health pool but still has three health pools left. On the other hand, Kain only has four blood pools inside his stomach that were still full. Kain thought, "If I have access to Blood Magic to use my Blood Equipment, then fighting with all the Devils here at the same time wouldn't be a problem. But using this astral form, I can't keep this Devil Form activated for too long."

Acting confident, Kain smiled and asked, “Aren’t you going to help your son get resurrect, huh Krugas? Oh, wait, your son’s corpse was completely burned into nothingness therefore he can’t be resurrected anymore. Not only I am stronger than your son when it comes to physical strength, but my magical power is stronger than him as well. Do you want to send another Devil to die or will you keep your word of letting Evienne live?"

Kain thought to himself, “Noe Clerico, you bragged about killing some Devils and Archangels. This was the first time I ever killed a Devil, and it felt great. Too bad that I came in my astral form. If I was using my physical form, I believed that I am powerful enough to kill all the Devils here once I activated my [Second Soul] and gained the ability to use Blood Magic.”

Seeing Krugas was planning something, Kain bluffed, "If you want to, all of you can go ahead and fight me at the same time and I will send you all to meet with Kaharzon in oblivion.”
