After leaving the Dryardian Empire, Arthur went back to the Mages Council and patiently waited to become the next Champion. However, after ten years of waiting, Arthur loses his patience and finally asks the Holy Mage when she was going to promote him to be the new Champion. Arthur believed he was no weaker compared to any current Champions of the Mage Council and he wasn't wrong about it. Arthur learned that the Holy Mage intended to promote him to be a new Champion of the Mages Council five years ago but couldn’t because Lord Clerico strongly rejected it. Arthur was disappointed at first but couldn’t be happier after discovering the real reason why Noe rejected.
Inside the mansion granted to Arthur by the Mages Council. While watching his servants busy with their daily routines, Arthur thought to himself, "The humans of Toria Continents aren't much different compared to the human races I have created on my planet. The strong ruled the weak. The beast tribes and magical creatures along with magical beasts aren't much different either. The big eat the small, the strong kill the weak for amusement. War among human races and the beast tribes will never stop regardless of whatever I do. I can't blame them though. My planet is too small while the human races and the beast tribes are having problems with rapidly increasing populations. They will kill each other and only leave the strong to survive. That's isn't a bad thing either. I only needed the strong to assist me in battle."
Arthur stood up and walked around the flower field of his mansion while thinking, “Lord Clerico wanted me to replace him as the new Lord of the Gray and become the new protector of the Mages Council. I was too naive thinking becoming a Champion is enough. I was glad that I didn’t get promoted because once I become a Champion, all internal affairs of the Mages Council won’t apply to me including inheriting the position of the Lord of the Gray. Lord Clerico has been living in Toria Continents for too long. Naturally, I won't be surprised if Lord Clerico becomes the next God-tier magic caster. After all, no one else deserves to be the next God Mage than Lord Clerico."
After touring the flower field, Arthur went back to his bedroom, breathed out heavily, and thought, "I have tried to convince the Holy Mage to legalize Blood Magic but failed too many times. The battle between the Blood Mages and the Mages Council can't be prevented. Kain, when are you going to attack the Mages Council...?”
Forty-six years after that. Kain checked his Magical Portal Key and felt it could be used again. After explaining the situation to Jaane and his children, Kain conjured twenty Earth Golems then commanded them to guard his children while he was away. Earth Golems aren't strong in offense, but powerful in defense. Because they were conjured by Kain, their physical strength was scaled to match with his magical power. Jaane already has Reana and Iviss to protect her. If needed, Jaane can turn five animals into Saint Magical Creatures to help defend her as well.
Wanting to keep his absence from Toria Continents a secret, Kain opened the portal to Hell Realm inside his room while having fifty Wind Walkers to guard the portal making sure no demons can come through it before he comes back. Kain also commanded his Wind Walkers to attack anyone that dares to come inside his room. Jaane and his children were well aware that Kain would be absent and he carefully instructed them not to come into his room until he returned. Kain also gave the order for his servants to prevent anyone from coming into his room and told them that because he needed to meditate without being interrupted. Kain wanted to conjure more creatures but his room couldn’t hold any more Wind Walker. Knowing how powerful each Wind Walker was, Kain did a quick calculator and believed fifty Wind Walkers will be more than enough to defend the portal as he walked into it.
Flexing his Vampire Wings, Kain flew toward Kimaris’s castle in the Thirteenth Gate of Hell Realm and asked him to open the portal connected to Devils’ planet. Sensing Kain wanted to go all out against the Devil Overlord, Kimaris was happy but disappointed at the same time that Kain refused to let him help. Kimaris was strong, but still can’t be compared to a Devil Warrior. Having Kimaris joining Kain wouldn’t benefit him in any way. Kimaris understood it as well and didn’t bother asking Kain to let him tag along anymore. Kimaris wished Kain luck as he opened the portal allowing Kain to fly into it.
Arrived at the Devils’ planet. Kain headed directly toward the empty field where Evienne took him to the last time they were traveling together. Kain landed on the ground, patiently waited until the castle appeared in front of him. Without waiting for anyone to approach, Kain activated the [Second Soul] spell to create the blonde version of himself. The Blonde-hair Kain then activated the [Devil Anatomy] spell to turn into a Devil while Black-hair Kain convened Ancient Vampires preparing to battle. As soon as the castle gate was opened, Sir Thomas walked out and attempted to ask Kain why the reason for his visit to the Devil Overlord's Castle. But right after remembering Kain, Thomas wanted to apprehend him and bring Kain in front of the Overlord to receive punishment for his idiocy during the last visit. Too bad though, Kain activated the [Mana Infusion] technique before casting [Blissful Mirage] spell on Thomas to make sure there was no way Thomas could resist it. As Thomas was trapped inside his mind, Kain quickly executed him and burned his body to nothingness using the [Carnage Inferno] spell.
After making sure Thomas was truly dead, Kain shook his head and said, “Another idiot died because of looking down on me. If he was being extra cautious, perhaps he would be able to survive fighting against me for at least two hours. Nothing will change because I will always come out as the winner of all battles.”
Kain will never forget the time he lost to Aber Hardy in the Battle Tournament of Student Master Mages. But that wasn't a real fight since Kain couldn't use Blood Magic and Aber Hardy had already reached level 30 while Kain was just barely made it to level 25. That was why Kain told himself that he was still undefeated and will never be defeated. Noe Clerico can revive himself as many times as he wants, but Kain's true power in Toria Continents will remain unmatched.
