Book 3: Chapter 6 (7/8)

Name:Twin Soul Author:Zskyph
Anwyn carefully observed the ongoing battle between Devil-Kain, black-hair Kain, her guards, and her Magical Staff, while thinking to herself, “Could he be able to create more than one version of himself? I heard there was another Blood Mage from Toria Continents named Vierna Pharm who could create two versions of herself. She became a God-tier and ever since no one else could create two versions of themselves. No, even if he can split into three persons, what kind of magic spell can grant him invisibility in front of me? The [Shadow Step] spell? Not likely. Such a trash magic spell can’t hide his presence from me. Could it be a Saint-tier magic spell that he has created himself?"

Anwyn carefully looked around again and this time she could barely feel another presence here and that put her on high alert. Anwyn looked around carefully again before casted one of her self-created Devil Magic spells named [Analyze]. An invisible aura released from Anwyn and quickly spread out throughout her castle. The [Analyze] spell was created to help Anwyn temporarily see through her enemies to know how much mana or stamina they do have left. This spell can also counter magic spells such as [Puppeteer], [Shapeshifting], and [Shadow Step].

A black-smoke-like aura released behind Anwyn, she turned around and saw a black shadow was slowly revealing itself. Anwyn thought to herself, "As I have thought, the energy aura of the dark figure I felt just now is very different compared to him. If it wasn't for my [Analyze] spell, that person could have remained invisible for much longer." Anwyn was relieved to know that Kain couldn't create two versions of himself like Vierna Pharm did.

In a blink of an eye, that shadow vanished again and the powerful presence was gone. Anwyn angrily asked Kain, “Human, who else is with you!?”

Kain and his Second Soul were busy fighting and didn’t reply to her. In anger, Anwyn decided to join the battle as well because she was afraid falling asleep again would get her killed by that unknown shadow. Anwyn wanted to kill Kain as soon as possible to end the fight before the dark shadow came back.

Black-hair Kain also got angry to see his plan almost succeed but failed at the last second, he communicated with the creature that was assisting him using the [Whispering Wind] spell of Lazela shared with him, “Finwe, you were too slow. Just one more second and she would have died.”

Despite being the strongest unique creature that Kain could conjure, Lazela never gave Kain any bad attitude like Imreia usually does. Lazela always obeys Kain's commands or requests and willingly stands idle in battle if Kain asks her to. Lazela has long reached level 100 in Wind Magic, but her ability to create new Wind Magic spells was much slower compared to the human Wind Mages. Despite that, Kain always treasured Lazela and had her stay with him during the most important battles. Lazela's duty wasn't only to transmit messages between Kain and Finwe but to protect Kain using her [Warding Wind] spell too. Besides Finwe, Lazela was the only other conjured creature that Kain could trust with his life.

The black shadow that locked Anwyn in her mind earlier was no one else but Finwe, Kain’s previous Soul-Bound Creature. Using the [Whispering Wind] spell Lazela shared with him, Finwe replied to Kain, “Bro, I tried my best. Her Magical Resistance rate was too high. It cost me a lot of mana to lock her in the [Delusion World] but she managed to get out much earlier than I expected. Remember one day inside my [Delusion World] is just one minute on the outside world. She is aware of my presence already. Do you want me to reveal myself now or wait for another opportunity? It’s much harder for me to fight while using my [Invisibility Cloak] spell.”

“Just wait for another chance to assassinate her. She won’t be able to kill me anytime soon so no worry.”

Over eighty years ago. Finwe killed his brother along with the royal guards who loyally served his brother. Finwe then successfully inherited the throne to become the new King of all Evolved Thunder Eagles. As the Evolved Thunder Eagles’ King, Finwe also derived the only Magical Portal Key in the realm of Thunder Eagles but he didn’t use it until a week ago to visit Kain in Toria Continents. After knowing Kain wanted to fight with the Devil Overlord, Finwe offered to help. Nonetheless, despite reaching level 100 in magical power after drinking the Advancement Potion Kain gave him, it would take Finwe at least two hundred thousand more years before reaching Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior. The only way to instantly boost Finwe’s physical strength is through Conjuration Magic. Kain will have to defeat Finwe using his astral form, then create the [Conjure Finwe] Conjuration Magic spell. After Finwe is conjured to battle by Kain, his magical power and physical strength will be able to scale based on Kain's magical power. Kain refused to make Finwe one of his conjure creatures at first because he was confident there was no way he was going to lose to the Devil Overlord while having over two hundred Blood Equipment fully charged. Long story short, Kain then agreed to defeat Finwe using his astral form to create the [Conjure Finwe] spell after Finwe sincerely requested him to. Finwe didn't fight and allowed Kain to defeat him in one second to make the process easier.

The difference between Soul-Bound Creature and a regular conjured creature is Soul-Bound Creature can only be bound to one Conjurer Mage and can’t be conjured by any other Conjurer Mage. If any Conjurer Mage travels to the realm of Thunder Eagles and defeats Finwe using their astral form, then they can too create [Conjure Finwe] spell just like Kain did. Soul-Bound Creature can benefit from the [Soul Mate] spell of his/her Conjurer Mage and vice-versa. If the Soul-Bound Creature is much stronger compared to his/her Conjurer Mage, then the [Soul Mate] spell will benefit the Conjurer Mage instead by scaling the Conjurer Mage's physical strength and/or magical power to match with his/her Soul-Bound Creature. Regular conjured creatures can only scale their magical power and/or physical strength to match with their Conjurer Mages. If the Conjure Mage conjured them is weak, then their full fighting potential wouldn't be able to be unlocked.
