Before Lazela arrived at the portal, Brandis had killed more than forty Wind Walkers who attempted to fly into the portal regardless of his warnings. Three out of those killed Wind Walkers have reached Saint-tiers in Wind Magic. All Wind Walkers were born at level 50, but approximately only five percent of them could reach Saint-tier levels before dying of old age after reaching close to two thousand years old. All Legend-tier Wind Walkers look similar. Only Wind Walkers that advanced into Saint-tiers could slightly look different and may have some unique features about them. The stronger the Wind Walkers get, the higher Magical Equipment that could be granted to them through the Watcher of their realm.
A Conjurer Mage that travels to another realm through [Astral Projection] will be prohibited from killing other creatures of that realm. But because Brandis walked into the realm of Wind Walkers using a Magical Portal, he could kill as many creatures of this realm as he wanted without worrying about being punished by a Watcher.
“Brandis!” Lazela yelled out loud in happiness the moment she saw him from far away.
“My beautiful!” Brandis also expressed that he was happy to see her.
Lazela landed in front of Brandis and deactivated her [Wind Walk] spell while running into his arms and landed her head on his left chest. Lazela warmly said, “I thought you have changed your mind about coming here to see me.”
Handed Lazela back her Magical Scepter, Brandis warmly said, “How can I change my mind about coming here to see you? That would never happen. It took a while for me to persuade my father into letting me use the Magical Portal Key. I’m sorry to keep you waiting, beautiful.”
“Are you still going to take me to Toria Continents?”
“Of course. That was why-”
Before Brandis could finish lying, Lazela casted [Sonic Boom] spell as her left hand touched his chest. Even though Brandis didn’t expect something like that would have happened, his natural survival instincts as a very well-trained warrior allowed him to barely dodged Lazela’s [Sonic Boom] spell while pushing her away from him.
Brandis checked his armor and thought to himself, “That was too close. If it wasn’t because my armor was chanted with magic allowing my Magical Resistance rate to increase, I would have died from her sneak spell attack.”
Brandis continued to play dumb and surprisingly asked, “Lazela, what is the meaning of this? If you don’t love me, I can leave here and will never bother you again. All you have to do is ask.”
Lazela laughed out loud and said, “Oh human… How long are you going to pretend to fall in love with me? Do I look like a newborn Wind Walker that you can trick into believing all of your craps? I have lived much longer than you have and know very well how humans think.”
Still acting like he didn’t know what she was talking about, Brandis angrily asked, “What do you mean by that?”
Lazela pointed at the corpses of all the Wind Walkers that were killed by Brandis while he was waiting for her to show up and said, “This is how you really feel about Wind Walkers. We are just nasty creatures to you, aren’t we?”
“They tried to enter the portal after I told them not to, I had no choice!” Brandis angrily answered.
“Oh… really? Are you telling me that you wanted to live with me despite that it will cost you everything you have including the status as the Great General of the Bifjorkian Theocracy? Is there a word ‘naive’ or ‘idiot’ written on my forehead? You wanted to be with me to find out what I know about Kain’s weaknesses. The moment you find out everything I know about Kain, you would have killed me just like any other Wind Walker.”
Brandis knew Lazela had seen through his plan. Instead of appearing to be worried, Brandis angrily said, “If I can’t persuade you to come to Toria Continents peacefully, then I will make you come. I will torture you until you tell me everything you know about Kain Bersk!”
Brandis activated [Acceleration], [Empower], and [Invasion] abilities before taking out the big blade from the blade cover hanging on his back. Unlike other regular Eleventh Stage Saint Warriors, Brandis was equipped with armor and a weapon chanted in magic to help him fight against magic casters without losing the advantage to them. Lazela didn’t stand idly. While holding her Magical Scepter using the left hand, Lazela immediately activated [Replica] and created six clones of herself to surround Brandis before casting [Wind Blades] spells to protect her and her clones from his physical attacks. Just a few minutes ago, Brandis and Lazela pretended to be in love with each other. But now, the way they looked at each other was no different than two arch-enemies staring into each other's eyes wishing the other would fall dead as soon as possible.
Brandis didn’t let Lazela’s clones confuse him, he lunged toward one of the clones knowing killing a clone could also kill Lazela. Brandis held the big blade with both hands and swung it down on one of the clones and almost broke through the [Wind Blades] spell of that clone. Lazela and five other clones activated [Gust] spells then casted [Gravity Manipulation] spells to force Brandis to lose his balance on the ground. Brandis’s armor raised his Magical Resistance rate to be much higher than he actually has, but six layers of [Gravity Manipulation] spells activated within the six layers of [Gust] spells wasn’t something that he could handle. Brandis was sucked into twenty feet above the air then slammed down on the ground repeatedly until Lazela’s [Gravity Manipulation] spells expired.
Brandis stood up strong and calmly stated, “Your Wind Magic is strong, but nowhere near enough to break through my defense. The moment you run out of mana, I will cut both of your arms and drag you back to Toria Continents!”
Lazela smirked as she stated, “I may not be a talented Wind Walker that can create many Saint-tier Wind Magic spells. But every Saint Wind Magic spell I have created is excessively strong. I didn’t think I’m going to use this spell against an Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior, but you are surely worth it.”
Finished saying that, Lazela started chanting for a magic spell while six of her clones actively casted [Wind Strike] spells at Brandis repeatedly, forcing him to defend and couldn’t attack her.
Using his big blade to parry the [Wind Strike] spells, Brandis thought to himself, “Damn it! If the Wind Magic spell she is chanting now is powerful as she said, my armor may not be able to protect me from it. I can’t let her succeed. Screw it, I’m just gonna escape outta here.”
