Book 3: Chapter 10 (6/10)

Twenty-two hours later. Kain and his Second Soul were heavily injured, surrounded by all thirteen Demon Lords of the Hell Realm who were struggling to keep him alive. The Demon Lords were surrounded by at least a hundred thousand evil spirits summoned by Lucas. On top of that, Gisella Renzo was flying on top of them, indicating no way they could get out of this area alive.

Seeing Kain desperately staying alive, Noe shook his head in displeasure and said, “All of your Blood Equipment has reached depletion. That was why you gave your Storage Ring to the Evolved Thunder Eagle and sent him off. You have already activated [Second Life] to refill your mana pool to help you conjure the Devil Overlord back despite for the third time the seventy-two hours penalty. The Devil Overlord had also opened the Hell Gates per your command but once again all demon armies were annihilated by my minions and conjured creatures. The almighty Devil Overlord that you relied on so much then died again for the third time. I knew there is no way you can conjure her back with that near-depleted mana pool. Your Second Soul doesn’t have an energy source to keep his Devil form up. You damn sure know the Demon Lords of the Hell Realm are not powerful enough to keep you alive for long. I saw Amdusias was trying her best to heal you and recover your mana pool. Little boy, just twelve more minutes, and I would be able to use the [Second Life] spell again to recharge my mana pool. This battle is over and you have lost. Kain, how about this. Let's make a pact. Why don't you just surrender and I promise not to chase after your wife and kids?”

Kain’s Second Soul who had already transformed into a wingless demon using [Demon Anatomy I] spell derided Noe as he said, “Surrender? Bitch! You have no idea what I am capable of. There is an old saying, a cheater will cheat his way to win. You and I have both cheated in this battle. Let's see if I can cheat my way out of here…”

While Kain’s Second Soul was deriding Noe Clerico, Kain was checking with Finwe to see if his wife and kids were safe or not. It has been more than thirty minutes since Kain gave his Magical Storage Ring to Finwe and sent him together with three Wind Walkers to escort Jaane Almos, Liliana Bersk, and Zander Bersk out of Linkeep Island after realizing he was going to die today. Who could have thought the strongest Conjurer Mage ever lived in Toria Continents, Noe Clerico, turned the table around from losing back to winning simply by cheating? After Finwe used the [Teleportation] spell to teleport three Wind Wakers and himself near Jaane, Liliana, and Zander. He then waited for the three Wind Walkers to casted [Wind Walk] spells on Kain’s wife and kids before repeatedly teleported them out of Linkeep Island toward the safe bunker that Kain had secretly built for them. Kain smiled in happiness remembering when he saw Finwe stopped the powerful Solo Executioners of the Mages Council from chasing after his wife and kids in just a snap of a finger while the Wind Walkers were chanting for [Wind Walk] spells to help his wife and kids to fly.

Because Finwe was no longer Kain’s Soul-bound Creature, they couldn’t communicate telepathically at a distance too far away. After Kain felt the tapping signal on the temporary abyss link chained between him and Finwe, he tapped it back thanking Finwe to complete his last wish then banished Finwe and the three Wind Walkers back to their realm to start recovering his nearly depleted mana pool faster. Asking Finwe and three Wind Walkers to come back to the battlefield would be an idiot idea because they won't be able to make it back on time. And even if they could, that would also give the enemy the perspicacity of where Jaane and his children may be hiding through some quick calculation. The eight blood pools inside Kain’s stomach were long depleted. All of his Blood Equipment was also depleted that was why he gave his Magical Storage Ring to Finwe for safekeeping. Kain's mana pool could last him for approximately another ten minutes of keeping his [Demon Anatomy I] spell up. Kain still has two health pools left but that was nowhere near enough for him to win this battle.

Holding the Soul-bound Magical Ice Spear on his left hand that was recovering his mana pool, Kain spread his Vampire Emperor’s Wings preparing for the last wave of attack after Amdusias healed him enough. Kain stared directly into Noe’s eyes and gave him the middle finger of his right hand and spit on the ground while calling him "A Cheating Bitch". Kain then scanned around the thirteen Demon Lords surrounding him respectfully and shouted, “Demon Lords of the Hell Realm, thank you for staying with me until this last moment. Now, let’s help me die beautifully!”

Kain flew upward toward Gisella Renzo while chanting for the [Haze Mode] spell, acknowledging one of her powerful God-tier Ice Magic spells would be enough to cause one of his health pools to reach depletion. Kain's only hope at that time would be to survive long enough and die beautifully by being killed by Gisella Renzo instead of Noe Clerico. It was much better losing to a God-tier Ice Mage since it was just logical instead of being defeated by a fellow Saint-tier Conjurer Mage. Kain’s Second Soul sprinted toward Noe and attempted to use [Fire Punch] techniques against him hoping some miracle would happen and he could somehow kill Noe using that weak-ass attack. Kimaris led the other twelve Demon Lords to attack Lucas and the evil spirits without thinking they would have a chance of defeating him. Lucas was hiding how strong he really was from the very start and after he exposed his true power with Noe’s permission, Kimaris quickly realized why Lucas dared to call Devil-Kain trash.

Fourteen hours prior. Kain’s [Darkness] spell finally dissolved due to the shortage of blood pools left in Kain’s Blood Equipment. Kain had infused so much blood in maintaining his [Darkness] spell to last six hours to make sure his Ancient Vampires would overpower Noe’s conjured creatures along with Noe's trapped creatures. The result didn’t disappoint Kain when most of Noe's creatures were killed as he successfully stabbed Noe’s in the throat using his Ice Spear. However, it turned out to be just a Skeleton Warrior that was killed and the real Noe Clerico was revealed standing ten feet away.

Kain angrily expressed his feeling, “How many times are you going to use that spell? It is getting annoying. You know that shit won't save you for much longer. Just f*cking drop dead already!”

Noe tauntingly replied, “I'm going to use it as many times as my mana pool allowed me to. Let me check. Ah, my mana pool is still too large.” This was a lie. Noe's mana pool was reaching near depletion. This was the first time Noe felt his life was in danger ever since he became a Necromancer and received a massively large mana pool.

Kain smirked and said, “Quit trying to fool me with that fake bullshit. I am clearly winning and you will soon have to admit it with your head on my hand.”

“Is that so? Little boy... try and prove me wrong then.”
