As Akamine turned, she saw several boys drool at her dashing smile. Her face lightened up with when her eyes caught sight of each of them.
Yes, this was what she wanted, all the love and attention. What more could she ask for? Nothing right?
Well no, Akamine Yuki wasn't satisfied at all. Not one bit. She wanted more, she wanted Sasuke.
"Hello!"
"I like your hair."
"You are cute. I love your person."
"You can have my notes to update yours, so you could follow up the next class."
"I can show you around school if you like?"
"What say you? Let me and my buddy Nato take you for a school tour, huh?" Another one of the guys said putting his arm around the last boy that spoke.
All of them were at her beck and call, asking her if she wanted or needed anything. Some of the girls got jealous at the boys tripping behaviors.
"I am Sojuro Touja, if you have any problem you can ask me for help anytime," A red–haired boy said with a smile.
He showed all his thirty-two teeth at her as he smiled. She almost felt freaked out at the sudden display of canines.
"Do you have your lunch with you? You can have mine." Another one of the guys offered.
Just as she was about to answer the troop of boys or send them off, two girls pushed their way through the crowd of onlookers and one grabbed her hand.
"Hey, why don't we go get that donuts and honey snacks I told you about?" Akane suddenly said, interrupting the boys.
"What!"
Yuki blinked in confusion, but quickly understood when Akane winked at her.
"No way, we got here first."
"I was going to ask her to lunch with me," a brown haired boy cried.
"Well too late, I asked first."
"Back off guys. You've had your fun. Please don't swarm in like a horde of bees," the second girl finally spoke.
"Ohhh Akamine Yuki. You must be overwhelmed with so many guys bothering you," Akane said to Yuki.
She gave her a bright smile in return and didn't say anything. "What good are all these smiley faces, if I can't get him to look at me?" She said in her head.
"Anyways let's go," the second girl, Chiyo said.
Akane didn't wait for Yuki's reply and pulled her away from the class.
*************
Sakiko followed closely behind Sasuke, watching his every move. He was grumpy as usual when someone irritated him. He basically didn't return any greeting from the girls waving at him.
"Oh boy! He sure is vexed," Sakiko thought as she walked on.
Minutes later, Sasuke took a bend and ended up at a secluded corner near the staircase. He rested his back against the wall as he took in a deep breath.
Sakiko quickly caught up with Sasuke and followed him. She quietly made her way to where he was. He was so deep in thoughts that he didn't notice her approach him.
Sakiko tapped on his shoulder lightly, but he didn't respond. She proceeded to call his name, "Sasuke!"
He jolted a bit in shock, but quickly erased every trace of it when he noticed she was the one. "Hmm?"
He turned his head to face her and gave her a weary smile.
"What is wrong?"
She could tell something was off about him. Ever since that girl came, he became some what strange.
"It's nothing. Sorry to have bothered you," he lied, trying to brush her off.
"You seemed pretty dazed for it to be nothing, Sasuke. Are you lying to me?"
"Trust me Sakiko, it really is nothing. You needn't bother about it. I am just a bit tired."
"Tell me, what do you have against Yuki Akamine? You do not seem to like her. Since she came, you've been off."
"Nothing."
"Then why did you leave just now when she approached?"
"Can we not talk about her?!" He half yelled, making Sakiko flinch in shock.
When he noticed he had scared her, he felt bad. His expression saddened, he never met to hurt or scare her. He quickly reached for her hand but she pulled away just in time.
"Sakiko... I–I, I am sorry. I never meant to yell at you, please." He apologized to her.
She remained silent and didn't say anything. Her silence was ruining him. Slowly, he dropped his out stretched arm at his side before speaking.
"I told you i was tired, didn't get ample amouny of rest at night, so i didn't want any distutbance, that's why i left, voupled with the fact that I just don't like her, that's all. Please don't be mad at me. Sakiko?"
"Hmm. I think you need to calm down first. See you in class."
With that she turned around and left the premises.
"Sakiko! Wait... " he called out quietly, but she was already gone.
