Wu Lina yearned to get back to Yang Xinyu. He anxieties increased with each passing minutes. She would occasionally glance at Zhao Hai xiang to see how he was doing. She realized that he was about to faint. She asked the driver to stop on the winding road of the hilly terrain.
The driver didn't ask questions as he was instructed to cater to Wu Lina's every command. He stopped the car immediately. Wu Lina turned to the doctor with her and said, "I want to you to attend to Zhao Hai xiang right now. I will not go any further unless you attend to him."
Without speaking a word, the doctor turned his attention to Zhao Hai xiang.
Hen their car stopped, the entire caravan of cars stopped. Men laced with guns jumped out of those cars and surrounded Vladimir's car. Wu Lina was hardly bothered as she opened the door and stepped out. Vladimir wanted to stop her and said, "Lina, child, today you must stay inside and rest. You can walk as much as you want once you are home and rested."
She was in no mood of paying attention to him. She ignored him and stepped out but she felt shaky on legs. The team of doctors that had followed her car rushed to her side. One of them gave his hand to her to hold as she walked. But she shoved his hand away.
Vladimir, who was sitting inside and watching Wu Lina's behavior couldn't say a word since he knew that she would rebel. But it was okay with him as long as she stayed in front of his eyes. He was ready to bear all her tantrums because inside he was satisfied that he had found and brought his daughter with him. This was her place. She was his princess – his apple of the eye.
Wu Lina strolled towards the edge of the road and looked down at the valley, which had dense forestation. It was dusk and the jungle looked eerie, as the trees appeared dark and brooding. Her thoughts went far to Yang Xinyu and a tear rolled out, as her hands curled around her belly.
"Little dots, don't worry, we will go back to your father…" she whispered.
Her thoughts were interrupted as the doctor announced that Zhao Hai xiang was better. Wu Lina went back to the car to look at him. When she was assured that he was looking fine, she sat quietly inside. It was important that Zhao Hai xiang was taken care of nicely, as he was the only person she could trust now.
The cars resumed their journey to the mansion. They reached the mansion in another twenty minutes. Wu Lina stepped out to receive the most grand welcome she could ever imagine. As she entered the main building, there were two lines of maids standing around her. There were countless men who appeared as security, lined up behind the maids. All eyes were on the new heiress. Their eyes followed her as she walked in with her father and Zhao Hai xiang. Even though Wu Lina was exhausted, she looked so charming that the men gawked at her. Vladimir glanced at them and seeing their expressions, he couldn't help being proud of his genes.
Aleksander had to be taken to the hospital. He had managed to survive Zhao Hai xiang's brutal attack.
Wu Lina walked with her head held high, disinterestedly amongst them. She asked for her room and Vladimir personally took her to her room. It was a beautiful room, so plush that one wouldn't think of spending a day out of it. A huge chandelier hung in the center over the round bed that had curtains around it. The floor was carpeted with the softest of the Persian carpets available in the world.
Vladimir went to the bedside table and picked a remote. He pressed a button and all the curtains started winding up revealing the beautiful gardens on two sides. On the third side there was a glass wall that had an aquarium behind it. One could see a variety of various colored seawater fish. They were running in cl.u.s.ters of blue, orange, red and green. Pink colored starfish were glued to the walls or the ground. In one corner there were very small orange, transparent jellyfish that were moving in circles. Wu Lina held her breath at such a beautiful vista. She stared at the fish for a long time, lost in their world.
Vladimir pressed another button and a section of the wall opened to reveal wardrobes that were full with clothes, jewelry and other accessories for her. All of a sudden the wardrobe started moving to the right and as it moved more of clothes and accessories could be seen.
Obviously Vladimir was trying hard to impress his daughter. Wu Lina realized it and said, "I would like to be alone," just to ward him off. There was no other person she hated as much as her father at the moment.
"Also I want to talk to Yang Xinyu. If I cannot talk to him, I won't eat my food. Other than that Zhao Hai xiang will stay in a room next to min." She kept her demands short and accurate.
Vladimir said, "Whatever you want child," and left.
Zhao Hai xiang, who was standing all the while and watching this display of wealth was actually mesmerized. He couldn't even dream that a world like that existed. His madam was far richer than his master. He sat down on a sofa and started eating fruits that were spread on the table. Few minutes later, a maid came with a phone on a tray. She bowed and handed the phone to Wu Lina.
Wu Lina instantly dialed the number and Yang Xinyu picked her phone on the first ring.
"How are you?" he asked. His voice was choking. He had secretly cried for not being able to protect his wife and little dots.
When Wu Lina heard him, she couldn't hold herself and started sobbing. Zhao Hai xiang came near her and whispered that she shouldn't talk much on the phone, as all the lines might be tapped. She nodded and signaled him to leave.
As soon as Zhao Hai xiang left the room, Wu Lina started her conversation with Yang Xinyu.
