Chapter 305 - She Already Missed Her

The mayor looked at Yang Xinyu intently waiting for his answer. Yang Xinyu nodded and said, "Yes, I have. He will be meeting us tomorrow. I have called him at home since Wu Lina is too wary of leaving the house…"

"I understand her…" said the mayor and left for the office.

Yang Xinyu went inside and looked for Wu Lina. The servants said that she had gone to show the space to the interior designers. Yang Xinyu went to where they were and observed how keenly the designers were listening to Wu Lina. He smiled as he saw that Wu Lina was explaining the requirements with a lot of warmth.

"Little ones, I am waiting for you…" said Yang Xinyu to himself and left for the office.

The designers left the house after an hour and Wu Lina went to the bedroom. Yang Xinyu had already told her that Vladimir would be visiting them next day, which made her anxious. She started pacing up and down the bedroom. Unable to withstand her anxiousness, she went outside to the garden on the southern side of the bungalow and sat on a swing to. She looked at the river that was flowing in front of her. She was so immersed in that beautiful scenery that she didn't hear her maid until she came near her. "Missus, your mother has called," said the maid offering her the tray on which the phone was kept.

Wu Lina's face broke into a grin. She picked the phone and received her mother's call.

"Mother, good afternoon. Where have you been all these days?" Wu Lina complained.

Wenqian was very happy to hear Wu Lina's boisterous voice. She said, "Wu Lina, I am good, how are you child? How are my grandkids?"

"They are fine mother. When are you going to come here?"

"Wu Lina, your father and me had gone to visit his family after a long time. We were in his hometown for more than a month. Your father is planning to move to his hometown," said Wenqian.

Wu Lina cringed when she heard her mother speaking the word 'father'. She knew that he had already got her unregistered from the family register.

"Mother, when are you all going?" she asked feeling sad.

"Your brother will be finishing his exams in the next week. We will move after that. Your father has taken up a job over there," replied Wenqian.

"Oh, okay mother… will you come to meet me before leaving?"

Wu Lina felt as if her mother was abandoning her. She already missed her.

"Mother, I will be waiting for you," said Wu Lina.

"Okay Wu Lina. See you child."

The phone was disconnected and Wu Lina's sadness increased. Her memories of the past returned when her father had thrown her out of the house just because she wanted to pursue her career. Her memories were like a teddy bear that were crafted from glass shards – the tighter she clung to them the deeper it was cutting. She knew that she had to put down the teddy bear for a long time, but unknowingly she would pick it up and slice her skin. Those painful memories were just the same as nightmares.

She had to practice leaving it – she knew that she and the teddy bear were separate. She had to choose positive things that were coming ahead and get a new teddy bear of memories, soft and warm, to keep her cozy and happy.

With a smile Wu Lina looked at her belly and thought of all the wonderful memories she will be making with her tiny dots. She had to leave her mother and let her go. Her mother was a part of a different family and she was a part of Yang Xinyu's. She was a part of Yang Xinyu.

Wu Lina went back inside the house and had lunch. Later she placed a call to Yang Xinyu just to talk with him every insignificant thing she could think of. Then she mentioned with tears in her eyes, "Yang Xinyu, mother will be leaving the city for good. Father…" she hesitated, the resumed, "Father, has found a job in his hometown and wants to stay with his family."

Yang Xinyu realized that Wu Lina must be in a lot of pain. He asked, "Are you crying?"

"Yes…"

Wu Lina kept crying softly on the phone until she felt relieved. She let her mother go…

In the evening when Yang Xinyu came home, he saw her watching the TV. He went and sat beside her. Holding her hand in his, he asked, "Are you feeling fine now?"

Wu Lina smiled and said, "Yes, I am."
