Chapter 99：Prologue

angelic_demon 12:08 pm.

"Herro~"

*Bzzz*

I reached into my jeans left pocket to take out my mobile that buzzed. Looking at the notification that popped up, I saw it was from Instagram.

I smiled at the greeting thinking it was cute mimicking a cat.

Tapping the screen of my mobile and inputting my eight digit password. I tapped onto the Instagram icon and opened up my dm's.

The username angelic_demon caught me off guard. I looked at the avatar and it made me smile.

A yellow blob cat, chewing on a blue ice pop.

I replied to angelic_demon's message.

LazyMuch? 12:10 pm.

"Hi there."

angelic_demon 12:10 pm.

"What a shy Hi there. That is. :)"

A shy "Hi there"? What do you expect, I don't know you...

I was eating my lunch during school lunch break in the cafeteria with my friends Hong Tai, Theodore Abrahams and Laura Gold.

My friends rambled on about how today was dragging and how boring the rest of the periods would be.

I looked around in the noisy cafeteria and met eyes with a girl who was chewing on an energy bar looking in my direction.

I smiled at her awkwardly, but she ignored me and looked elsewhere. I sighed and looked back down at my phone and noticed that angelic_demon sent me another message.

My phone did not vibrate this time around because my dm was open.

angelic_demon 12:11 pm.

"Still there?"

LazyMuch? 12:13 pm.

"Oh"

angelic_demon 12:14 pm.

"Eh?"

LazyMuch? 12:14 pm.

"Excuse me?"

angelic_demon 12:14 pm.

"Should I have not sent you a message?"

My heart trembled slightly, what's going on here? Who is this person?

LazyMuch? 12:15 pm.

"No uhm... I don't know... Who are you?"

angelic_demon 12:15 pm.

"Heh. You'll know me over time or should we not speak further?"

LazyMuch? 12:16 pm.

"It's fine I guess..."

"Thank you <3"

"Yo! Reign?? Are you coming with us?" Laura called out to me.

I was so busy on my phone that I didn't keep up with the conversation.

"Uh..." I trailed, I wanted to agree to what they were saying, but thinking back we were talking about going to the movies, then we're going to the arcade after. I originally wanted to go with, but I'm not good with horrors.

"I-i don't know," I said with hesitation. I looked down at my plate of food and started picking at the baby carrot with the plastic fork in my hand.

"We don't have to watch the horror movie if you don't want. Reign do you still want to go with, it'll be boring without you," encouraged Theodore

I looked at Theodore who was grinning from ear to ear. I nodded my head slowly and the three of them cheered.

We started talking again and my mind went back to my Instagram and I was shocked. Again, there was a message from angelic_demon.

angelic_demon 12:20 pm.

"Lunch is almost over and I'm heading out. Will chat to you when I get home <3."

LazyMuch? 12:22 pm.

"Oh."
