Chapter 3 - only a memory

Standing outside of her apartment liv sighed thinking back at all that had just occurred she felt a bit drained emotionally but knew that her night was just beginning.she unlocked the front door to her apartment and walked in expecting cam to be in the living room waiting for her to pick out the matching jewelry for cams gown. To her surprise the house was alone."I guess she's not home yet" liv walked into the kitchen seeing that a note was on the table with a takeout bag next to it.

"liv, I tried calling your cell but I'm assuming it was dead.i brought your lunch hope it's not cold by the time you get home.anyways just wanted to let you know I went to the salon to get my hair and makeup done I'll be home as soon as I'm done. dont forget my uncle and brother will be at the house by 7 to pick us up. be ready since this event is important to the family business and we can't arrive late!!!"looking at the time liv started getting ready. unlike cam liv didnt have all the money that cam had to blow off on expensive clothes ,shoes and everything she could possibly want. when cam was 6yrs old ,her parents had an accident in which they both passed away leaving both Theo who is older by 2 yrs. and cam under their uncles care.their uncle did everything to make sure they had everything they needed while trying to run a successfull business in the entertainment industry.the only problem was that cam needed someone who understood her and she always felt like she was being judged by everyone else.she couldn't tell her brother or uncle of what she felt because she feared they would be dissapointed in themselves for letting her go through that and not realizing it.when both liv and cam met each other they didnt expect to become best friends.it was actually the day after cams birthday that cam asked to get dropped of at the park with some school friends. sadly they never showed leaving her by herself with only her guard to watch her.liv happened to see the blonde little girl alone and went up to her."hi why do you look sad? you're at the park and it's a beautiful day " cam was a bit surprised at the unexpected question." my friends from school wanted to meet me here at the park but they didnt come. I haven't done anything for them to be like that with me" at that moment liv told her to wait while she ran off.confused on what just happened cam waited for her.10 minutes later liv was walking back towards her with a box in her hands."here you go, I got you something hopefully it brings a smile to your face"opening the box cam saw a chocolate cupcake with pink and white frosting with multi colored sprinkles and cherry on top. "thank you its so pretty ,but how did you know I love chocolate?"liv laughed at her question"I didn't its my favorite but I thought you would like it too.after talking for a while cam learned that liv was also without parents but unlike her liv was actually all on her own she had been going from house to house for several years and when she finally got kicked out of the last house she decided to find her own happiness. "I want to be somewhere that will really want me part of their family not treat me like a maid or a thief."hearing her say that cam told her guard that she was going back with them. once they were home cam spoke to her uncle about her new friend.upon hearing liv's story and making a few calls to verify everything he decided to take in liv. Even though liv was given a new life with people who wanted what's best for her ,she never asked for anything. when she was able to start working she would buy her things with what she earned and would save what she could.they both graduated from high school and were accepted to the same University. They always had each other's back and moved into an apartment that cam was gifted for her birthday a few months ago.

After her shower and styling her hair ,liv looked at herself in the mirror " I hope this night will go by fast" she said to herself as she continued with her makeup. "Liv!!! I'm home!!! are you almost ready?!! I just need to put on my dress and show you the new set of jewelry I just bought!!!" walking out of her room in her bathrobe liv she went to see her friend."almost I just need to put on my dress .you look amazing by the way. " putting on the earrings cam looked up to her "dont I look amazing!!!I heard there was going to be real important people so I wanted to look incredible in case one of them is a single young man looking for that special girl" lauging at her remark liv helped her with her necklace. "let me I know how that goes for you" checking her phone came turns to liv " theyre headed this way hurry we need to get dressed!!!they'll be here in 30min." Both girls dash to their rooms to get dressed .Liv pulled out a long maroon ballgown that she had bought. It was a simple gown but once she was wearing it that dress matched her body perfectly from every angle.cam on the other hand wore a red mermaid dress with alot of sequins on the front . "if you want to get more attention I have jewelry you can use to make your dress stand out." cam told her as she said her dress."no thank you I'm not a big fan of alot of jewelry . I like how this dress looks without anything else "liv responded.at that moment the doorbell rang .
