Chapter 245 245 Baby

"Darling, I am fine. I am glad that you made it." Kitty reached out her arms. "Let me hold the baby, please."

Before Cindy passes the baby to Kitty, Leo helps her sit up and holds her in his arms, then looks at the little baby. "So did we have a girl or a boy?"

Kitty took the baby from Cindy and held the baby gently. "Darling meet Charlette, our dear beautiful girl." Charlette was small but had a healthy set of lungs on her. Kitty held Charlette and then started to feed the baby. The baby drank the milk and stopped after only a little while and then squirmed. Kitty patted Charlette's back gently until she burped and then looked at Charlette cuddled in her arms.

Leo witnessed his daughter slowly fall asleep. "She is beautiful just like her mother. You did well while I was away. How do you feel?" He kissed the top of her head.

"Tired. Can I take a nap after getting cleaned up?" Kitty looked at Leo, then at Anna and Cindy.

"Of course! You should rest after all that you experienced. Rest up and we will look after the baby for you." Anna reached out to take Charlette so that Kitty could get cleaned up and go rest for a little while.

Kitty handed the baby to Anna and looked back at Leo. "Your clothes are going to get dirty if you stay on the floor with me."

Cindy got up and looked at the lovebirds on the floor. "I will go shower and attend to the baby with Anna while you nap. When you are awake then we will introduce her to the family. I am glad that she is healthy despite being born early." She left the room and walked back to her room and threw away the clothes she was wearing and then hopped in the shower.

Anna carried Charlette to the nursery and placed her down on a soft blanket that was on the changing table. She took a baby wipe and gently wiped off the residue that was left. She then put a diaper in the girl and found an outfit and put it on Charlette. "There you go little one. I will let you rest in the cradle." As the baby was so small Anna had thought that a cradle would be better and had dug it out and set it up in the laundry room. So she brought Charlette down with her.

Leo picked up Kitty and placed her in the tub. "Do not worry about these clothes. I have more and I can buy more if need be. All I care about right now is helping you prepare for sleep. I will spend time with our daughter while you sleep but right now you need my help." He helped her take off her clothes and throws them in the trash bin.

"Okay, Darling. I will let you help me but do go spend some time with our daughter while I sleep. I do not want her to be unfamiliar with you." Kitty reached up to help so that Leo could take off her dress. "I will have to work hard so that I can lose the weight I gained during the pregnancy."

"I also want our daughter to be familiar with me as well. I might have to wake you up though. If our daughter is crying she might need food and only you can provide that for her. You are still beautiful if you have gained some weight, love." Leo started running the water for a shower. He let the warm water run over their bodies. He grabbed a bar of soap and started washing down Kitty's back gently. "Let me know if I am hurting you."

"Darling that feels really nice, thank you." Kitty took a different bar of soap and washed the front of her body. She couldn't bend over as the pain would be too much.

Leo bent over and washed her legs. "I will not wash any closer than this but you should be okay." Leo finished washing her off and then he hugged her gently.

"Yes, I think I am clean enough." Kitty smiled and her eyes closed slightly.

Leo turned off the water and then grabbed a towel and started to dry her off. Once her dried what he could, he wrapped a towel around his waist and picked her up. He carried her to the bed and he laid her down. "If you worried about the bed I could lay a towel underneath you." He saw her nod. Leo went back to the bathroom and pulled out a towel and laid it down under where she had been laying. "There you can rest now and I will get dressed to go spend time with our daughter. I will show Luke and Tiana her if you are okay with that my sweet." He starts getting dressed.

Kitty looks at Leo and struggles to keep her eyes open. "Okay, Darling. I will be here sleeping." Kitty was no longer able to keep her eyes open. She closes them and passes out.

Leo looks at Kitty and smiles. "You worked so hard, love. Rest while you can and I will take care of everything else." He quickly got dressed and went into the nursery. Since his daughter was not in there he went to the laundry room. "How is she doing?"

"Charlette? She is sleeping soundly. Kitty must be exhausted. I hope that she can rest well until Charlette needs food. I hope that you do not mind. I pulled out this cradle. She is much too small for the crib." Anna looked at Leo and smiled as she folded a towel.

I do not mind that you pulled out this cradle and you are correct, she is too small. Thank you for being so considerate." Leo unlocked the wheels on the cradle and pushed it towards the living room where a movie was playing. "Can we pause the movie?"

Luke picked up the remote, paused the movie, then got up and looked at the cradle. "Is that the baby?"
