Chapter 64 - Information

A man with silver hair walked into the quiet office. A man with brown hair sat on a large chair, bent over his papers.

"Did you find anything?"

The young man with brown hair looked up. "President Xiu."

The man glared. "I asked you something."

"And I heard you."

"Fei'er, don't think that just because you are my best friend I won't hit your face," Xiu Ru said in anger.

Si Fei snorted. "Nonsense. Since when have I being your friend stopped you from trying to kill me?"

Xiu Ru gritted his teeth. "I'm not joking. I'm not in the mood to be joking."

Si Rui sighed.

"I know. The good news is that we have found the Cheng family's old address. If they haven't changed location, then they are now in Mainland China."

"I can sense a but in those words."

"I won't be giving it to you."

Xiu Ru glared. "What did you say?"

"Madame Xiu's orders."

Xiu Ru scoffed. "We have done plenty of things behind my parents back before, how is this any different? Besides, I'm your Boss. You should be obeying me, not the woman of the household."

"Is that so?" a feminine voice asked from behind them.

Xiu Ru closed his eyes. That was a stupid thing to say out loud.

"Mother."

"Madame Xiu"

Madame Xiu smiled at Si Fei and turned to her son with a glare. "Didn't I tell you not to do this?"

"Are we really not punishing that bastard for getting my sister killed?" Xiu Ru asked in anger.

"She was killed by a terrorist," Si Fei said. "And she only died because she wanted to save the children. Had nothing to do with Mr Cheng. In fact, I believe he didn't want her to go."

Xiu Ru snorted. "That village buffoon doesn't know kindness! All he knows is how to stuff his mouth!"

Si Fei raised an eyebrow. "You haven't even met the man before."

"Is there even a need to? I can guess the kind of man he is," Xiu Ru said with a sneer.

Madame Xiu sighed. "I hadn't realised Telepathy was a part of your powers."

Xiu Ru's ears turned red even as his face remained the same.

"Why can't I know where my niece is?"

"Because she should be an adult by now," Madame Xiu said. "We will contact Mr Cheng in this matter and arrange a meeting with her."

Xiu Ru scowled. "I'm her uncle. Do I need that man's permission to meet her?"

"Yes, you do," Si Fei said.

"Why? Give me a good reason," Xiu Ru said.

"Because that man is her father and her only living parent," Madame Xiu said. "She will need to accept us before-"

There was a knock on the door.

"Come in," Si Fei said.

A woman in a pearl white dress came in. She stopped at the threshold when she saw the other occupants of the room. She bowed.

"Hello, Madame Xiu, President Xiu, and Manager Si."

Madame Xiu raised her eyebrow.

"What is it?" Si Fei asked her in a soft voice.

Xiu Ru frowned at his tone. He looked at his friend.

"I've found news about the person you asked," she said.

"Go on," Si Fei said, half distracted until her words registered. "What did you say?"

The woman smiled, unaware of the landmine she was standing on. " I've found news about Cheng Xiu, Daughter of Cheng Ru and Cheng Lan."

Xiu Ru looked at her as though he was looking at an angel.

The woman blushed at the intensity of the stare in his eyes. She wondered if she was experiencing her CEO romance.

"What did you find out?" Xiu Ru asked.

Madame Xiu made to cut her off but was held back by the words she said next.

"Cheng Xiu, aged 18, is the person with the highest percentage in this year's Alliance Exams!"

Xiu Ru found himself annoyed. Was that a big deal? He got 92% himself.

"A total score of 9.99," the woman said.

Xiu Ru froze. That score...how was that possible?

"She is the speculated S Rank from Earth!"

S Rank?

"I'm sorry," Si Fei said in awe. "Are you telling me an 18-year-old has an S Rank mind?"

The woman nodded eagerly.

"I wish I could meet her soon," Xiu Ru said to himself.

The woman thought he was talking to her.

"You can. She is part of the Gu family that have wanted to establish an Alliance with our company for a long time," the woman said. "And President Xiu is going to the Gu Family this week, right?"

Xiu Ru nodded. "You can go now."

The woman blinked, unsure. She bowed a little and walked away in a daze. The President had smiled.

"Fate wants me to meet her mother," Xiu Ru said and walked away.

"Should we tell him that just because he is meeting the Gu doesn't mean he will meet his niece?" Si Fei asked.

"No need," Madame Xiu said. "Let him think he won. Book a Spaceship for me as well. Someone has to keep that brat in line."

"Should I look for gifts for 18-year-olds while I'm at it, Aunty?" Si Fei asked in a teasing tone.

"Yes," the woman said. "Better to."

Madame Xiu walked away.

Si Fei shook his head and picked up his Fold to do as ordered.. Crazy family.
