Chapter 143 - On The Other Side

In another part of the forest, San Zhe hung upside-down from a large banyan tree.

The woman who had held him in her bosom licked her lips as her eyes burned with passion.

San Zhe was far too busy staring at the bubbling cauldron in the corner of the treehouse he was hung on top of in horror.

"Dear boy!" The woman said with a manic laugh. "If your friend does not find you in the next five minutes you will become my food! How great is that!"

San Zhe wanted to cry. It wasn't great for him!

"Do you know how long it has been since I have eaten a human? Far too long! That Zona! She is too uptight! What is so wrong about eating a human?"

San Zhe hung his head, not even looking at the woman anymore. The woman was too cruel, forcing him to hear her kink about eating humans.

The woman laughed as she looked at San Zhe's defeated form. It brought her great joy to see the humans in such miseries! Having their hopes crushed!

She looked at the cauldron and then towards the winding path that would lead the human girl towards her tree. It was such an obvious vantage of view that the girl should be able to find it without much trouble if she would just lookup.

The woman's eyes darted towards the human man in her grasp.

Her eyes gained a calculating glint and then she had a Cheshire cat smile on her face.

She walked towards the human with a soft sigh that would make anyone feel that there was something forbidden about her, her hips swaying to the sides.

Her hand raised and caught the human's chin in a light hold.

She lifted his face with a seductive smile on her lips.

San Zhe raised his brown eyes to look at the woman curiously only to fall into a slight daze.

"Little human," the woman said, purring out her words into his ears, "Would you like to play a game?"

San Zhe trembled in fear. He shook his head hard.

The woman chuckled and pinched his cheek. "Aw...don't be like that little human. I assure you, it will be fun for both of us."

San Zhe shook his head harder.

The woman waved her hand and the tree positioned San Zhe straight again, letting his feet touch the wooden floor of the treehouse.

San Zhe felt the blood rush away from his head and fell to the hard floor. His head was spinning as a dizzying spell overcame his senses.

The woman chuckled and then bent down.

She slowly crawled on top of San Zhe.

San Zhe's entire frame shook as he looked around him in panic.

The woman pressed her chest against his and placed her lips against the shell of his ear.

"For each minute that your friend delays arriving," the woman whispered, sending shivers down San Zhe's spine as he felt her hot breath, "I will eat something of you."

San Zhe stilled and tears fell down the corners of his eyes as fear gripped his heart completely.

"How about it?" the woman asked.

San Zhe shook his head.

The woman chuckled. "What if I told you that you would feel absolute pleasure despite it?"

San Zhe looked at her in confusion for a second as her words slowly registered to him. San Zhe shook his head again.

The woman laughed. "What if I told you that you did not have any choice in the matter?"

San Zhe looked at her with wide eyes, his bloodshot eyes revealing his desperation.

The woman laughed and closed her eyes.

Her beautiful face transformed to reveal black fangs, and her face transformed into a hard black shell.

San Zhe could not help think that her face looked a lot like a snake's even though she still retained a few features of a human face.

The woman opened her mouth and came down with her fangs.

Just as her fangs were about to penetrate San Zhe's throat there was a bright flash of light.

The woman stopped.

San Zhe's eyes filled with relieved tears and he turned his face towards Cheng Xiu.

And it turned out to not be Cheng Xiu.

It was a woman with green eyes and an alluring aura around her.

"Claris," the new woman called.

The woman with the black fang looked at the newcomer in displeasure. "What are you doing here?"

"The Keeper is coming," the woman said instead of answering. "The little ones are occupying her other companions."

Claris raised an eyebrow in surprise. "What now?"

The new woman looked at her for a moment and then looked at the human in Claris's hold. "Try to activate the Stone."

Claris laughed. "In the end, it is still my way that is going to work. I am sorry to say this, little Camille, but I win again."

The new woman, named Camille, looked at Claris with a cool expression. "Don't mess this up."

"I won't!" Claris said.

Camille disappeared in a flash.

Though he was not the best person when it came to understanding human interactions, even San Zhe could tell when the woman called Claris was given the go-ahead.

The woman lowered her face towards San Zhe again and held his chin in place. "I am impressed by your human girl. Very determined, and unpredictable. That Camille would never allow me to have my way with you if she thought that there was a chance to get things done her way. But thanks to your friend, the little sister of mine would have to accept my way now."

San Zhe did not respond, not that the woman cared about his thoughts on the situation.

The woman laughed. "Do you know what my way is?"

San Zhe could guess.

"Guess," the woman said.

San Zhe shook his head. There was no way that he was going to give her his opinions. What if what he said was something the woman had not thought of and he put ideas into her head.

The woman exposed San Zhe's neck even more. She licked her red lips. "I have missed human flesh."

San Zhe trembled under her hold.

The black fangs descended.
