Meanwhile, Guan Yaning whistled scornfully. “General, the lady did not seem to care about you. I did not know that she is actually your type.”

Before he was done talking, his foot suddenly caught something, and he crashed into the ground. His face went down first, thus scratching his lips with bloody wounds. He quickly stood up again and looked at Duan Muyan in disbelief. “General.”

Duan Muyan was one of the few members from the Blue Fox Planet who possessed psychic powers, especially involving telepathy. He could move anything with his mind or kill anyone by controlling a gun with only his mental power. Though ruthless, he was a man who honored his followers with respect, as they had been through life and death together. Those were the good old days when he was still friends with them.

Guan Yaning was never afraid to tease him in the past, but things took a quick turn for the worse this time.

Duan Muyan looked at him sternly in the eye and asked, “Are you done with your bullshit?” His icy tone sent chills around the place.

Guan Yaning finally admitted to his own failure. “I am sorry, sir. General, I was frustrated by the Lord’s arrogance. She should be back in Tianju Hall by now. Should we take the opportunity and launch another attack?”

“You have been leading the attack for three months now. Have you achieved anything yet?”

“About that, we managed to break the ‘turtle shell’ last time. Although they have sealed the hole, it is no longer the barrier that it used to be. I believe that we can shatter it this time if we use all of our explosives.”

“Dream on! The Lord is the one who created the barrier. Without her, perhaps you could break it after a few attempts. Now that she is back, I am certain that it is as solid as it was before. Moreover, she possesses both teleportation and invisibility skills. She even mastered the use of our weapons. Do you really think that you can achieve anything from the attack? You will only risk losing all of our ships.”

Guan Yaning remained quiet. He did not know how to argue with the general, but he refused to give up. “Should we let her go just like that? Should we just hide in our comfort zone?”

“Of course not,” the general acknowledged it with a confident smile. “She will be here tomorrow.”

Everyone who could hear the conversation got excited by the news.

Guan Yaning subconsciously clenched his fists as if he was ready to fight. They had lost to her because they were unprepared. This time, he believed that they were ready to defeat her, as long as they had time to plan out a proper comeback.

“You should all come up with a proper plan to give the Lord a good challenge tomorrow,” Duan Muyan commanded.

“Yes!” All of them answered in unison.

“You are not allowed to do anything at your own will tomorrow. Everything must be done according to my commands!” Duan Muyan added.

None of his men objected. Instead, they acknowledged his authority firmly before going away.

All kinds of coordination and men power were poured in to prepare different ambushes and set-ups at different places. It was not an easy task to take the Lord down, so the soldiers had to spend the entire night fine-tuning and modifying their weapons to the highest level. When all was done, the sky was already brightly lit.

After the long night of preparation, all of the soldiers were tired, but they looked forward to the day. Some of the soldiers had never met Gu Xijiu, so they were eager to see her. As for those who had suffered losses, they could not wait to give her a taste of her own medicine.

All in all, despite their tiredness, they were waiting eagerly for her arrival. They kept their guard up as they knew that she was equipped with teleportation and invisibility skills.
