55 The Programmer Known As "Pianist"

Seeing as he still didn't want to tell her the password, she glanced at the computer in front of him.

She placed the laptop in front of him and closed her eyes.

"You can lift one hand and type in your password. I didn't bring my laptop and currently 'you' have the problem and not me."

"I am here because I am indebted to all of you. I look up to your family at the same time your family would be my support once my identity is out."

Ashton lifted his right hand and pressed in the password. The password was a name and date.

"It's open."

That's the only time Amber opened her eyes and walked to the sofa. She ignored her aching head and sat down.

Ashton gave her instructions to enter the database and join the war.

After entering and seeing how it works she stretched her fingers and moved them getting ready for an arduous battle.

"I'll attack those attackers while you recreate your defenses," she opened her mouth and gave an instruction this time.

Ashton just glanced over her, he didn't mind the way she give instructions. Though if it was someone else he wouldn't listen to her at all.

"Allow me to introduce myself," he then heard her say before, he heard the tempo of typing on her side.

It was in such a fast pace that he never saw on the other people within the security part of their company. It was fast at the same time concise. Despite her typing quite fast, she didn't miss a single letter.

This allowed her not to delay even for a second on her attacks.

Not long after he saw some attackers that looked like viruses disappearing one after another.

"Stop dilly dallying, gates 3, 4, 7 and 9 are now free. Increase it's defense now," Amber noticed that he was not typing.

As if returning to his senses, he kept up with her. Just as an attacker was down he would rush in and strengthen the defense.

Not just plainly repairing it but instead he was also adding more layers to it.

But it still didn't leave his hearing the fact that her typing speed would change from fast to slow to normal. As if he was listening to a musical piece with different tempos.

Carl who have returned after leaving a while ago couldn't help but to look at her in shock.

Ashton couldn't see it but he can. Amber has a smile on her face, a smile that reached her eyes. Something she never showed while helping out on the database of the school.

She had always the serious bored look as if what she was doing was but something she needed to do. She can't find enjoyment on it.

"Hoho, haven't seen so many people being so desperate before. It has been a while since I encountered such people," Amber even had the strength to speak as her hands kept moving.

A name popped up in Ashton's mind as he listened more to her typing. At first it was still heavy pressing but as she got used to the keyboard in front of her, her typing became much more pleasant to the ear.

The name he thought of was a very much well known all over the IT world. A hacker who can hack anything as long as he wants. A programmer who can do anything as long as he said so.

Games? Programs? Softwares? As long as he said he can do it, he will.

A lot of technological companies were vying to hire him but he never replied to any of them.

The programmer known as "Pianist".

He never entertained such thought before for she was always so bored looking whenever he see her doing the database.

Even the royal families have tried prying on the identity of this programmer but not one was able to do so.

Him being "Shield" was also only known within the Wright empire. That is why he was also being seeked by the other royal families.

But since he was on the defense side, not one tried to compare him to the "Pianist". Instead one would even match them together that if they were to work together, no one could even compare.

A smile appeared on his face upon realizing all these. No wonder she was so sure of creating her own technological company, she knew she has all the means to make it big.

He was in reality still half convinced when she proposed her plans to them. Half convinced due to the fact that she was the daughter of Nathan Price, a formidable person within the business world.

Now, somehow he was completely convinced, if matched with her outstanding programming skills, surely all her plans would be able to see the light of the world.

As the two of them silently attacked and defended as if in a battle ground, the supports on Ashton's side were flabbergasted.

When another support jumped in, their hands started slowing down for they can barely do anything. They have become a complete backdrop of that person.

They would attack the other viruses and leave the other person to the ones closest to invading.

This also helped Amber to have a much more complete focus on attacking her targets. She didn't need to worry whether the other attackers would suddenly invade while she was busy with one.

"Wh- Who invited such a formidable person?" one couldn't help but ask the people around him.

"Could it be the young master?"

When the first attack came, they were still able to defend just fine. Adding to the fact that it was Ashton who made the foundation of their security.

But after a day, the attackers doubled and everything became more chaotic.

"Young master Lian," another one looked at the one in the front, he was a young man who seems to be in his twenties.

His hair was in a mess and his shirt has three unbuttoned buttons. His necktie was pulled away to allow him to breath. His sleeves were rolled up and looking at his complexion it was visible that he had been up all night.

He too was able to relax for a bit after they contacted Ashton but that guy was very much inclined on defense. So despite his help it was still a bit lacking.

"He told me he'd call for someone, I just didn't expect that someone would be this formidable," he replied as he finally have time to have a proper breather.

"Anyway, the battle is not yet over. Focus for now, we'll speak about this once everything is secured," he then added as he kept his focus on his computer.

"What's going on? Why are we suddenly the ones losing? Isn't it going fine with our number? Even after the young master have jumped in?"

"We also have no idea boss, they suddenly have another help but we still don't know of his identity," one subordinate replied.

The man was nervous, he thought his plan was flawless, once they entered the security of the Wright Empire it would be easy for them to take some informations before they are once again shut out.

Yet jut as his plan was about to reach it's fruition, an unidentifiable programmer came in to help the other side.

Amber have long forgotten about her headache as the battle progresses.

The two of them didn't even notice how much time have passed, so upon seeing that three forths of the gates are now impenetratable. Amber lifted her hands and started doing something else.

Ashton noticed the disappearance of hers but didn't comment. They could already do the rest so it was not a big thing.

But he noticed how fast paced she once again typed. Carl who was standing on the side was also baffled, she was still on their database but she was no longer attacking the other side to defend.

'Is she hacking the other side instead?' he couldn't help but thought.

The time Ashton and his group finished everything, another smile appeared on her face.

'Got you,' she happily thought.

The moment she stopped helping Ashton's side, she started getting to the other side using one of their own attackers.

She hacked his system in a round about manner in order not to rose any suspicion.

After the battle, Carl almost jumped when the screen in front of Amber changed into what looked like a video.

"This..."

Ashton looked up and seeing the shock look in Carl's face he furrowed his brows. Amber, on the other side, stood up and walked towards him.

"Here you go. This is a live feed of what was going on on the other side. You can also hear what is going on for even the mic was hacked," she placed the laptop in front of him and turned around while yawning.

Before Ashton could speak another man walked past in the video and he squinted his eyes.
