58 Just Pay For Your Fees

"DO YOU THINK WE WOULDN'T KNOW THAT YOU CAUSED HIS EXPULSION!!??!!"

A booming voice was what welcomed Amber as she entered their classroom. A few students were looking from the outside and her classmates are just watching.

Four men were surrounding a sit and obviously all of them are fuming mad.

The one they are speaking to remained silent. She found it to be below herself to explain to this airheads the reason why that man was expelled.

"You still dare not to speak!!" in greeted teeth he grabbed her collar.

"You know, you're no longer in your restaurant, you can go ahead and defend against these people," as she stood at the entrance, she spoke and closed the door.

Amber knew of Leslie's capabilities. When she was doing arnis with her, she can see that her movement was natural.

She can tell that Leslie have trained with arnis for self defense. Remembering the story she told, Amber found out that it was because of what happened with that man.

Everyone looked at Amber who locked the door and leaned on it, with cross arms and was looking at them as if watching a live show.

"I can?" as if not minding the hand grabbing her collar, Leslie asked.

"I'll back you up," Amber grinned and winked at her.

All the students know was that Amber was a bit close to Ashton and the others. But Leslie knew it was not simply a little close but instead they are well acquainted. Seeing the fact that without Amber asking, Ashton and Devon made the call yesterday.

With a happy smile reaching her eyes, Leslie took out her arnis.

Hans and the other three furrowed their brows. When she finally used the stick to hit them, it was already too late for them to defend.

But even with the fact that they were four while she was alone, they still couldn't truly win over her. It seems that she was really good at arnis.

"You b**ch!!" one came from behind her as she was focused on another two in front of her.

But before he could hit her, a hardbound book hit him in the head.

"Really, there is no gentleman around here. Ganging up on one girl," Amber commented.

Her bag was on her hand and it was opened. The book came from her.

That man saw stars as the hit was solid and was truly painful. He was sitting on his butt trying his best to regain his clear headedness.

Just as the others were about to react, she opened the door and some teachers came rushing in.

"What are you all doing??" furious they glared at the four men.

"We-"

"Enough, with this attitude. Don't even think about competing in the basketball tournament. Hans I never expected that you will be this kind of person. Being the captain ball you came and gang up on one girl?"

"She was even your junior, just what kind of attitude is this?"

"No sir, our-"

"Enough, you can have your explanation in the student council office. Go straight there and don't do anything else. NOW."

Hans knew that Amber was under Ashton, when she came a while ago he didn't know that Leslie was close to her.

When he heard her, he couldn't move before Leslie started attacking them.

He could only glare at them before he and his team went out of their room.

"As for you ladies, you are ladies. Shouldn't you be more demure than this?" the teacher faced her and Leslie.

She was already beside Leslie and had picked up her book that she threw a while ago.

"How can we be demure sir if there are no gentleman around? Upon arrival I can tell that they had been here for a few minutes already, but most of our classmates were just watching."

She then looked around, "If that man have hit her for sure they will just watch because Leslie was of the middle class family. Hans and the others were in the upper class family."

After looking around, she returned her eyes to the teacher, "She was harassed by their vice captain and it just so happens that the student council president was there to witness it."

"His expulsion was just, but Hans and the others ganging up on Leslie was not. It was not even too much if these classmates have at least called for a teacher. But they didn't so how can we be demure?"

There was pin drop silence around the room, she was always asleep and barely spoke unless called for a recitation.

They felt like she was someone who didn't care about her surroundings unless she herself was included.

This is the first time she spoke so much and the way she looked at everyone, they felt guilty somehow.

"Don't act so high and mighty, you two are but scholars. What say do you have here? We all are paying for our tuition but you were even given allowance," one lady who felt jealous towards Amber spoke up.

To everyone's surprise, Amber smiled.

"Indeed we are scholars but let me ask you. Can you do what we were doing? Miss lowest?"

The girl was left speechless, she was indeed the bottom of their class. But she didn't expect that the person who was sleeping everyday would remember such little detail.

Amber smiled upon seeing her go pale because of embarrassment.

"If you can be a scholar then I wouldn't mind being reprimanded by you. But since you don't have the capabilities then," she brushed with her left hand an invisible dirt on the girl's shoulder.

"Just pay for your fees and I wish you could graduate with such grades."

'Daring'

That's what was in the thoughts of her classmates. She didn't bat an eyelid even if the one in front of her was someone who could be termed as the precious daughter of a rich family.

"Okay that's enough now, all of you go back to your sits. The class will be starting," the teacher cleared his throat.

He never expected that Amber has such strong character.

But Ashton have already told them, that she is not someone they should belittle. That her background was something not one of them would wish to offend.

This was back when they started complaining about her habit of sleeping in class. But even with that there are still teachers who didn't approve of her just like the one who raised the question yesterday.

Since still, no one have seen her background.

"Have you seen the ring on her finger?"

A new gossip started within their class. They have noticed the ring when she brushed off the invisible dirt in that girl's shoulder.

Something they really didn't notice in the past.

"It couldn't be right?"

"It must be a fake."

Some were baffled while others wouldn't believe it. It was because she was a scholar.

A scholar shouldn't have a ring with blue diamond as a stone right?

Blue diamond was the most expensive stone out there.

"Surely, it must be a fake."

Then more and more people started believing it to be fake. And Amber who heard of it didn't bother with their words.

"Please go to the student council's office once the day is over," Amber said to Leslie during lunch.

She didn't explain anything but just left after saying that sentence. Even Leslie's friends were baffled.

"We've heard of the incident," one of her friends spoke up.

The two of them were not in that class and has a bit of difference in schedule with Leslie. That is why they only heard of it after it spread around the school.

"We've heard it was her who helped you, since when did the two of you became close? You were still scared towards her yesterday."

"Something happened that lead to the events today. But she was not as scary as I thought. It was just our presumption that she was a cold serious person."

"You seemed infatuated to her now."

"I find it amazing, the way she didn't care about anything. She acts the way she wants and fights when she needed to."

After saying this she continued eating her spicy ramen with pork slices. One of her favorite in the university cafeteria.

The two friends looked at each other before giving her a smile. Being in the middle class, Leslie have always found it not in her place to step up and confront those who tries to bully her.

She remained silent and allowed them to speak all they want.

Today was the first time she fought back and all the pent up frustrations just exploded as she hit those guys over and over again.

Upon entering the office, she found Ashton massaging his temple. Upon seeing her, he gave her a glare.

She instantly raised her hands, "What did I do?"

She asked innocently.

"You really didn't know what you did?" he narrowed his eyes and looked at her questioningly.

She shook her head as she blinked her eyes.

Ashton squinted his eyes even more without speaking.

Amber just stood in the door and kept looking at him innocently.

"Amber."

"*sighs* Fine, I threw a book in his forehead. And pushed her to fight back, that's not a very bad thing though."
