85 I Am An Impatient Person

The very next day, Amber walked inside Barbers Computer company using a disguise of a maintenance personnel, Thomas have informed her that maintenance will be done on that day.

The people she borrowed from Ashton stayed outside waiting for the right time before they too get in.

Having been given the floor plan of the whole building and having checked all the CCTV cameras, she was able to maneuver with lesser difficulties going up the top floor where Mario Barbers is.

With a face mask and eye glass, together with contact lens and a wig, she was able to alter her look into a female worker whose face has been destroyed.

She took advantage of her scar to get people to stay away from her as she acted like she was doing a maintenance on the whole building.

She had left it to Thomas Barbers to invite Jacob Barbers in as well.

"I was called for some maintenance," she then said to the secretary just outside the office.

"We didn't need maintenance over here, it was just on the lower floors," the secretary frowned.

"I see, must be a mistake from my companions," Amber turned around ready to ride the elevator again.

The secretary was suspicious for this was the top floor and she even wondered how this person was able to get up here.

She looked away from Amber and started dialing the security. But before she could press the number, her vision turned black.

"Quite lacking," Amber, who hit her at the back of her head, commented.

She then removed the blue overall she was wearing. The bag of the tools also have a black half mask. It was with lining designs that twirls around the eye area.

Her black wig was of shoulder length and beneath the overalls was a black plain shirt and black jeans. She then pulled out a black jacket on the bag as well.

Her rubbershoes was of black color as well, she came here for Carl and so she chose to wear an all black outfit.

After changing, she gave Thomas a beep on his phone, he was currently talking to Jacob Barbers about a new design for the hardware of a computer.

"Then why don't we have a talk with your father? We can tell him about your idea and implement it right away," he stood up and opened the door for Jacob.

Jacob, who was the only son, was pampered by his parents since young. So he was among those people who completely looked down at others.

"You should have just said so sooner, why do I have to come and speak with you before speaking with my father? Why did you have to call me for such?"

"I apologize I never thought that your idea would actually be great," Thomas smiled apologetically.

As the two of them were going up, Thomas' office was on the ground floor, Amber had already knocked and sat down in Mario's office.

And his face was fuming mad ready to throw the papers she had just shown to him. It was all the evidences she had accumulated for the past month regarding their under the table dealings.

"Who do you think you are? Don't you know who's supporting me?" he asked her in anger.

Amber was sitting lazily at the sofa.

"I don't care, what I do know is that all I needed is your sign on the last folder."

Mario threw everything on the ground in a fit of anger.

"Ah don't bother with your buttons, no one will come no matter how much you press it," she kept saying as she look at him move his hand under the table.

The door opened a few moments later and Mario looked at her smugly. But to his surprise it was his son who entered.

Behind him was Thomas, yet he didn't enter. Right after Jacob stepped in, he closed the door.

"Father?"

Jacob, who saw Amber sitting on the sofa with her black mask, looked at his father confusedly. Together with the fact that Thomas actually didn't enter.

Amber indifferently stood up and walked towards the door, Jacob followed her movements with confusion and when she arrived behind him, he felt a strong kick behind his knee.

"I really am not fond of waiting for people who does not deserve it, so why don't we do it this way? Sign it or get him killed?"

Jacob knelt still after hearing a gun being cocked and feeling the cold metal in his head.

Mario was shocked as well, he didn't expect that this woman in front of him could be so bold as to actually threaten him with a life.

"So what's more important to you? Your son or your position?" her eyes were completely indifferent but her aura have turned cold.

Jacob who was closest to her couldn't help but to swallow a mouthful of saliva.

He has some background in martial arts, if he was fast enough he can just turn around and catch her off guard.

He looked at his father and his father looked back at him as if giving him the approval.

But his minute movement were stopped with the sound of the gun going off. He couldn't help but roll on the floor when his leg was shot.

"Don't try anything funny, I am an impatient person after all."

With a strong pull she had pulled Jacob back into a kneeling position. She also knew that Thomas was just behind the door.

"How dare you!! Thomas!! I know you're out there. If you don't do anything about this. Don't ever think of seeing your daughter live for another hour," Mario was completely enraged.

He pulled out from his table drawer a push button.

"One click Thomas, one click and wait for the call from your wife, that your daughter's head had been blown-"

*BANG*

His left hand that was holding the button was shot just like that, blood flowed instantly and just like his son he too started whimpering over the pain.

"I never thought that the bomb was actually just a push button one. If I had known I wouldn't have gone to all those troubles," Amber shook her head as she commented.

But Mario started laughing, "Just a push button? Do you think that I am stupid. Now that it is destroyed it was just like it had been activated. Once the bomb caught the signal from the button..."

Ignoring the pain in his hand, he sneered at her, "Then the little girl would go bye bye."

He kept laughing, "Thomas!! It was not I who killed your daughter. It was this person who you brought in here."

He was smiling evily but slowly it disappeared as time goes by. Thomas didn't barge in nor he heard him cry in agony.

Amber even yawned as her gun didn't leave Jacob's head.

It was only in a moment that she used it and Jacob didn't get the chance to move away from her. Well it was just for five seconds at most.

"So tell me? Are you signing it or not? I really didn't want to spend my whole day here you know."

"What happened? What happened?"

Mario was completely confused, why didn't it work?

"How was it?"

Amber called out to Thomas.

"Cleared!!" they heard him reply full of emotions.

"What did you do?" Mario was now losing his mind.

The person in front of him was decisive. She didn't even bat an eyelid to everything that he did.

"I'm going," Thomas voice was again heard.

Listening to the noise outside, she knew that the guards are already in as well. They were just outside the door.

She had Thomas let all the employees leave the building before the guards came in. And if a different guard were to stop them, then they can just take them down.

Another gun shot startled both Jacob and Mario, the bullet pierce through the floor just beside Jacob's legs.

"Sign or die?"

"You- You have no idea who are behind me, you will never get away with this," Mario still gritted his teeth.

"Go on and call them then, I really wanna see who will be behind you."

Though a doubt blossomed in his heart, Mario still gave a call to Luis Cooper.

His face turned pale as the phone kept ringing, no matter how many times he tried. But he didn't give up and kept going, until the tenth call became connected.

"Lu-"

"Hmmm? Oh it's you, I was wondering who it was that kept calling. Anyway, stop calling me now. I have more important things to do," after that he hang up.

Mario tried calling him again but could no longer connect, he has been blocked.

Upon looking up at Amber's face, he saw a sneer in her lips.

"Where's your backer now?"

"Who are you? Who are you to them? How did you make them stay away?"

He couldn't believe it, not once did Luis Cooper stopped helping him. He was Luis mother's favorite cousin. What is going on?

Upon remembering this, he made another call. This time to Luis mother but it never got connected. He was also blocked.

In reality, it was Luis who blocked him. He first didn't say anything to his mother and just blocked him on her phone.
